This game really zeroes in on a big reason for why the original Star Wars Trilogy is so awesome: a well-orchestrated plot twist. I haven’t been this caught off-guard by a Star Wars story since Knights of the Old Republic back in like 2003. These video game writers should be brought in to work on the movies and tv shows. they are incredible.

@@ShaunaLiTheStarcaller (don't read more if you haven't finished game) I got to the twist yesterday, I was really shocked that bode was a force user. However, from the start I didn't trust him at all and when he was sending his "daughter" a bedtime story I was thinking he was texting darth vader or some shit
I figured out he'd be a traitor in the first mission. Even before playing that much, or watching this video to the end. Something about character design always points towards certain characters betraying the main cast. If your companion is competent and can handle themselves in a videogame they're either going to die, or work for the enemy...
MY THOUGHTS ON THE GAME: First and foremost, I’ll get the negative stuff out the way before I gush about this game. I played it on the PS5 (thank you EA for the free copy of game!) and it definitely needed more time for polish. I played it on performance mode, which even then would lag, stutter and occasionally screen tearing. I also had some cutscene glitches where characters would clip in and out, and would have to quit out the game and come back in hopes of the cutscene loading properly (it usually would). The framerate is inconsistent to the point of affecting combat timing. NOT unplayable by any means, but annoying. I’ve read and seen that the PC port is much worse, and I don’t doubt that. Even Jedi Fallen Order, 3 years later, is not a well optimized PC port. It runs fairly well now, but nowhere near the optimization of similar games. I don’t take what I said above lightly, that game polish is a big deal, and I can’t recommend buying it until it’s fixed. BUT, all that being said, everything else about this game is outstanding. I think Jedi Fallen Order did a wonderful job of being a sort of Souls-lite game, and Jedi Survivor takes that formula and amplifies as much as humanly possible. This game is better and bolder than the first game in every way imaginable. The worlds are bigger, the story is grander, the characters are more in-depth and nuanced, the combat is nearly-perfect for what they’re striving for. You feel both extremely powerful and vulnerable to any set of enemies in the game. It’s a fine tuned balance that is hard to nail down, and they’ve done it. I love the fact that you start with many of the powers you gained in the first game, and you don’t do a Metroid-Prime-lose-all-your-powers-at-the-beginning-of-the-game cliché. You start off a fully fledged Jedi, and you can grow your weapons and tactics to wonderful heights. The 5 fighting stances/weapons are a breath of fresh air. Each feels different with it’s own strengths and weaknesses. The dual wield, for example, offers faster speed than the standard single stance, but much less range and defense. The Crossguard stance on the other hand, is all power. Heavy blows that take a considerable time to execute. The tradeoffs make experimentation against different enemies fun and rewarding. The story has also seen an upgrade here as well. The scope and scale of it is much larger than Fallen Order, but at the end of the day, it’s still about the characters we’ve come to love and their struggles with loss, love, shame, anxiety and so much more. It balances the larger epic story with their personal trials perfectly. And it’s much darker than most of the recent Star Wars fare. Sometimes even brutal in its unrelenting pace. No one is safe in the Empire. My only complaint here is that it can drag on a bit in the middle, when it feels you’re off to do more fetch quests. “Go find this other thing that will give us all the answers!” But that’s really no different than 95% of video games. It’s hard to keep such a sharp and always-focused story in a 30 to 40 hour game. The side missions and characters vary from forgettable, to surprising, and extremely engaging. It’s a mixed bag, but more than anything, it works in adding tons of fun hours to the gameplay. Building up Koboh is a treat. Recruiting new salesman and residents is satisfying and will keep you playing even if a particular side mission doesn’t entice you. Koboh is enough of an open world to be a 10 to 15 hour game in itself. There’s tons of secrets to find, side missions, optional bosses, collectibles, vendors etc. This planet is what really separates this game from it’s predecessor. Jedha is also fairly large, which I would compare to the size of Kashykk from the Fallen Order, although with a much more open design. All in all, it’s a borderline masterpiece in my opinion. It’s an easy 9/10 in my book and if the technical issues were all ironed out, I can see myself giving it a 10/10. It took me 21 hours to beat the main story on Jedi Knight difficulty, with tons more to do. I didn’t dive too deeply into all the side missions, especially as I got closer to the end as I wanted to share the game movie on the channel asap. I can’t wait to dive back in, and once the issues are fixed on PC, I plan on attempting and Grandmaster run and seeing how great this came can truly be.

That was amazing! I never would've expected Turgle to be the final boss, but by the reveal it just made sense! That frog was up to no good, right under Cal's nose!
Here’s a tip: you can let enemies to the fighting for you in part if two different enemy groups come across one another. All you need to do is watch the show.

Enjoyed your gameplay, & very thankful for you and appreciative of talking your time to make this video for us. I just hope u give it another play through you’ve missed a lot off stuff definitely in the beginning. Welp... looks like im not sleeping tonight... or the next 14 hours. Thank you for uploading this, i dont have a pc or newer console, and honestly im more in it for the story.
I already encountered a game breaking glitch at the beginning that forced me to restart. At the part where he says “you expect me to take orders from a droid?” He’s suppose to drop the thing to let you climb but mine refuses causes me to be trapped and forced to restart the game. I’m playing on PS5
The story is pretty intense and I enjoyed it. I just wish Cere wouldn't have to die though. I'm starting to get sick of the black characters dying in movies.
At 26:03 you interact with that computer to move the red panel and reach the ship but for me after i take down the enemies i can't interact with that computer i even reload, anyone alse has this issue?
This game has an huge issue, even near to the end a casual player should start to decimate through the imperial troops... of nearly any kind. But as a player you still cope with slaughtering wild life. I am not talking like killing a colossal size of Ranchor as Star Killer did in the second game, but you should not feel like a Padawan to the end of the second game. The thing that main character do better than others is jumping around and you are mocked by Nightsister Merrin in that department as well
@@SirV3nt Nah the gameplay definitely ain't Star Wars like. It's more souls like which doesn't fit Star Wars at all. A star wars game with a powerful jedi should have more impact and feel like the force unleashed 2
Thank you for posting this, gonna be watching this likes it’s a damn movie, enjoy the free watch time hehe Edit: ahhh, brilliant…100 dollars saved because all I cared about was the story. Was fantastic to watch
Game was so much better than Fallen Order. I finally got to play it over the past few days... Cal did more in a week than the Entire Rebel crew from SWR did the entire series. 😂😂
It's 14 hour video because we cut deaths, most side missions etc. It's really 30 hours minimum. But the performance issues are bad now, so on that part I agree. Best to wait until it's fixed patched. It's actually a wonderful game outside of the issues
I watched this vid from a bit more than half way as my usual dude didn't upload fast enough. At first I thought you legitimately sucked at fighting. Especially the hammer guys. It was hilarious to me how you got hit with every single un-blockable. Then watching when you didn't have stims or your health went low you played flawlessly. I'm not a hardcore gamer so I don't care about if someone is better. I guess it is just your style to take the hits to do damage yourself when you have heals.
This game is amazing, both in design and gameplay and in story, but ykno what would be great too, a game playing as a sith in the old republic or something before the rule of two. Imagine running around different planets as a sith apprentice and eventually going on to usurp your master (similar to the storylines in SWTOR) but with this engine and this gameplay style, it would be great
Played until the plot twist before I left for vacation, I watched the rest of the story in your video, since I desperately had to know how it all unfolds Gotta hand it to Respawn, they really improved on everything in this game. Gameplay and story wise. They really took it up a notch when it comes to character development, especially for Cal, who was a bit left out in the first game imo. I'm keen to see how they'll close that story. It's been already confirmed that it'll be a trilogy.
I got off of social media (with acception of UA-cam) quit playing video video games about 2 years ago because I’ve been trying to live a more healthy and disconnected life and then this game came out and I was soooo tempted to play (because I’m an absolute obsessive geek over Star Wars and I played the first one) so I’m glad this video was released because I can do dishes, laundry, and other important things while watching this in the background and still getting the story without actually sitting down and playing it all day haha.
Are these skill objectives any different than the previous game? It would seem odd that Cal would have to relearn what he had already achieved. I didn't play the previous game, so I don't know anything about skills he was able to acquire in the last game.
@@Infinite_Ethan03 I was just curious. Watching him taking a breather, and looking through so many of these earned player skills that can be acquired, I wondered how there could be so many more, in addition to what I saw from the previous game. While I love to watch the gameplay, I don't play. I do remember seeing a player having to earn certain skillsets in the previous game, and was wondering if there were any similarities between the two. Thanks for replying. Appreciate it.
I’m sorry but cere even being on the same level as Vader is ridiculous. He’s supposed to be the best duelist and force user in the galaxy. The first game was perfect this one was good but they definitely butchered the Vader fight. I got upset with the force unleashed for making Vader look weak as well.
It looks like you forgot to get a few things. Please make sure to to a quality control check before uploading so that you don’t forget to get anything.
Such a buggy game with SO many grind battles... sure, those 6 waves of enemies have just waiting for me here, sure, sure... does not feel rushed and scripted at all. oO Also MANY cheap deaths by falling after jumping where you COULD but where not SUPPOSED to jump to. Lots of playing was "walking simulator", too. Also many crashes and bad performance! But yeah, played through it just because, I guess. Thx for the guide video!

@@sillywabbit898 Considering he’s never mentioned in anything anywhere, it’s perfectly logical he’s not around anymore. Like Kanan. It’s also perfectly logical he’ll go on living happily ever after. Anything could happen.
11:30:00 was my favorite scene by far. That boss was just a brilliant character.
He was better than the twin Stormtroopers who bullied Grogu in the Mandalorian Season 1 Finale.
5:50:13 “And I just got promoted” Clone wars reference.
That was amazing! I never would've expected Turgle to be the final boss, but by the reveal it just made sense! That frog was up to no good, right under Cal's nose!
Hahaha
Thanks for spoiling it.
@@infinitecanadian I hardly think Turgle's turn to the dark side is much of a spoiler. It was *heavily* hinted throughout
@@MandatoryHandle His turning on Cal Kestis is.
@mesmashyoudie no, you could put a warning on that.
13:48 NAAHH BRO SAID IT AIN'T WORTH IT 💀
That was Larry the Stormtrooper from the Robot Chicken Star Wars skits.
2:42:23 That's what we've been waiting for! That's what it's all about!
Bro when I play this game with headphones, they go frickin crazy when Vader booms: “Such hatred…”
Here’s a tip: you can let enemies to the fighting for you in part if two different enemy groups come across one another. All you need to do is watch the show.
That stormtrooper at 13:47 made the smart choice.
That was Larry the Stormtrooper from the Robot Chicken Star Wars skits.
Gotta love how Cal brings levity to tense situations.
His awkwardness and goofy optimism helps make this dark storyline less depressing.
“I’m ready to blast the enemy!” “Your safety’s on…” “oh haha 😀”
B-1 Battle droids are literally the best comedians in Star Wars haha
Dude i literally stuck at the same spot here 12:00:00 that`s why I`m looking for walkthru videos🙃I was here for three days keep walking back and forth and have no idea where i am supposed to go.This game`s navigation is fuckking pain, somehow I feel they made Survivor`s map even worse than Fallen Order
The answer was fcking obvious tho
@@swtor8 my thoughts exactly
Having a Jedi Master be the main villain is a very different and interesting choice
This Star Wars video game is a true masterpiece. Thank you so much for uploading this video for us. I've been wanting to know the story behind this for a while now and it's finally here, so I appreciate this.
6:55:50 holy this song is amazing
11:30:30 did the developers include that as a joke, or is GLP just that good. Genuine question
its a joke boss.
7:52:26 Bro just killed Merrin
8:03:54 how about the flames?
8:22:55 Cal: “HOLD ON MERRIN, LET ME MEDITATE FOR FIVE SECONDS!”
8:27:19 THEY FINALLY DID IT!
8:27:45-8:30:23 This whole sequence was awesome!
9:30:44-9:30:47 🤣 (The droid went backwards and fell)
10:10:18-10:10:28 famous last words
10:37:00 rare npc bug 😂
13:30:08. The music here… I know it’s from Fallen Order, but which track? I know it’s from one of the Zeffo sequences, but I can’t exactly recall which one.
Edit: found it! “Project Auger” :)
11:30:35 the way you stop to process the whole thing... 😅
13:46 is it just me or in every walkthroug i see , the 3rd stormtrooper always trip's down and falls to his death?
suicide
Enjoyed your gameplay, & very thankful for you and appreciative of talking your time to make this video for us. I just hope u give it another play through you’ve missed a lot off stuff definitely in the beginning. Maybe you just wanted to give us just the story line aspect but exploration is very interesting, & if I think so - so does other viewers. But all In all thanks you 🙏🏽

nice playthrough, love the small but needed cuts making it faster
Welp... looks like im not sleeping tonight... or the next 14 hours.
Thank you for uploading this, i dont have a pc or newer console, and honestly im more in it for the story.
Thank you so much for putting up this video!
4:20:54 Listening to so much critical role has my ears trained for these nerdy voice actors. This one is Matt Mercer
Good ear! I certainly didn't hear Levi (AoT) when I heard him speak the first time but now I do!
I already encountered a game breaking glitch at the beginning that forced me to restart. At the part where he says “you expect me to take orders from a droid?” He’s suppose to drop the thing to let you climb but mine refuses causes me to be trapped and forced to restart the game. I’m playing on PS5
The opening gives me Arkham City vibes fr
Player doesn't realize that double saber is perfect for fighting multiple enemies all cluttered up
Im close to beating the game on gm using it the whole time. Defense is too good
The stormtroopers put up a pretty good fight on 4:58:29
These specific ones got great training just like Star Wars Rebels character Alexsandr Kallus.
The story is pretty intense and I enjoyed it. I just wish Cere wouldn't have to die though. I'm starting to get sick of the black characters dying in movies.
Having watched the final boss clip before this, and since that one is enough to attract me, this one is even more blast front.
maybe the future of star wars franchise is games.
This was beautiful
13:47 only the most trained soldiers can miss a fall like that
At 26:03 you interact with that computer to move the red panel and reach the ship but for me after i take down the enemies i can't interact with that computer i even reload, anyone alse has this issue?
Just one more video before bed

Thanks for your effort bro
8:26:51 Here’s what we came here for yw
4:38 Is this 1313 area ? Just like starwars 1313
2:43:30 I can’t pull that orb out to complete the puzzle, is it another glitch?
I swear bode sounds exactly like Charles from rdr2
He was voiced by Noshir Dalal
Can’t play the game, so imma watch it (I don’t own a ps5 or a pc)
Ps4?
thank you for the walkthrough
2:53:02 don’t mind me! ( I’m definitely not squealing about how the Chiss is voiced by J Micheal Tatum.)
Thankyou for this video
Thanks for sharing, great job!
The thing that main character do better than others is jumping around and you are mocked by Nightsister Merrin in that department as well
The game gives him plenty of abilities and equipment to do just that. In short, I can summarize the problem in two words: git good.
@@SirV3nt Nah the gameplay definitely ain't Star Wars like. It's more souls like which doesn't fit Star Wars at all. A star wars game with a powerful jedi should have more impact and feel like the force unleashed 2
Man people always have something to complain to.
@@bigmanwildin2216 so in conclusion you like force unleashed gameplay more than this game, you have obtained the rare item: opinion
Awesome playthrough! I appreciate the no commentary. I must say though, watching you fail to dodge/block incoming attacks was infuriating! lol :P
Thank you for posting this, gonna be watching this likes it’s a damn movie, enjoy the free watch time hehe
Edit: ahhh, brilliant…100 dollars saved because all I cared about was the story. Was fantastic to watch
@6:55:50 what song?? I just spoiled a massive part of the end of the game trying to find this damn song...

Game was so much better than Fallen Order. I finally got to play it over the past few days... Cal did more in a week than the Entire Rebel crew from SWR did the entire series. 😂😂
Soft locked at vader fight. unbelievably pissed. cant even get back to cal or previous saves or anything.
Damn, that's terrible. Such a shame that a really great game was released in this condition
70 dollars for a 14 hour game that has performance issues? Yikes. I was looking forward to it, but after learning this.. I'll wait for a sale.
Is it on pc, because I have no issues on ps5
It's 14 hour video because we cut deaths, most side missions etc. It's really 30 hours minimum. But the performance issues are bad now, so on that part I agree. Best to wait until it's fixed patched. It's actually a wonderful game outside of the issues
There's more than just the story bruh and there aren't rlly many performance issues on ps5
Imagine running around different planets as a sith apprentice and eventually going on to usurp your master (similar to the storylines in SWTOR) but with this engine and this gameplay style, it would be great
13:49 The third trooper find the best way out :D
Thank you so much
How to get to 7:43:49 i have tried multiple times thanks
Love the new mercenary agonist, a very tall hulk with a war hammer 🔨 👌.
Why is Rick the door technician such a funny boss😂
LOL I love the way that Moxxie is in here

Played until the plot twist before I left for vacation, I watched the rest of the story in your video, since I desperately had to know how it all unfolds
Gotta hand it to Respawn, they really improved on everything in this game.
How many boldly commercials did you put on this? It ruined the viewing, I'll find another walk through.
That's Amazing. 😇😇😇😇😇 Oh yes, by the way Good morning 🌞🌞🌞🌞
can someon tell me what is the name of the privius game with cal
Jedi fallen order
Are these skill objectives any different than the previous game? It would seem odd that Cal would have to relearn what he had already achieved. I didn't play the previous game, so I don't know anything about skills he was able to acquire in the last game.
He didn’t relearn anything this time.
Is it a glitch that sometimes Merrin looks taller than Cal and then he looks taller than her is weird
10:13:47 that surely didn't miss....his friendly's LOL
13:49 one of the soldiers jumps to his death
6:36:24 ignore this (it's a personal note for later)
4:00:07 excuse me what ?
1:15:30 how unlock door?
Dagan sounds so much like Anakin
“I heard you” 😂
Every time Vader shows up is badass
I needed to see how far from the end of the game I was, and im at about the 10.5 hour mark in this video.
Yeaaaa game looks amazing!
12:01:00 same problem, time wasting

3:23:10 Nice.

star wars fans when a game is a game: 😡
Feels a lot like cal is just Debra Wilsons errand boy through a par kor simulator
Lol, ikr? But now that she's dead, Cal's a free man.
I’m sorry but cere even being on the same level as Vader is ridiculous. He’s supposed to be the best duelist and force user in the galaxy. The first game was perfect this one was good but they definitely butchered the Vader fight. I got upset with the force unleashed for making Vader look weak as well.
Effing hate UA-cam ads
Did you really nonstop play the game for 14:38:19 hours
It looks like you forgot to get a few things. Please make sure to to a quality control check before uploading so that you don’t forget to get anything.
Such a buggy game with SO many grind battles... sure, those 6 waves of enemies have just waiting for me here, sure, sure... does not feel rushed and scripted at all. oO Also MANY cheap deaths by falling after jumping where you COULD but where not SUPPOSED to jump to. Lots of playing was "walking simulator", too. Also many crashes and bad performance!
But yeah, played through it just because, I guess.
Thx for the guide video!
