    Dude you have one of the best Heli Channels on UA-cam, I hope someday you make a "how to completely setup your helicopter (both on the Heli & elections)" videos, so new guys like me know what to setup on our helicopters to get them flying right and safe :) Thanks

    OK I'll look for it when I start to build. Thanks for your help

      Lee Nelson Yup and if you don't have one they are up at HeliDirect. Enjoy!

    Hi ,does the tail servo arm need to be 90 degrees with the servo or 90 degrees to level ground

    • @crmodels
      @crmodels  3 роки тому

      90 degrees to the servo. You can see pics on my FB page and the manual.

    Where did you get the SAB tool? I wasn't able to find one like you were describing.

      Lee Nelson I bought it at HeliDirect for $19

    I noticed in your hints and tips video OF SAB Goblim 380 KSE build you mentioned synthetic grease (i.e. Microlube GL261) and ball link pliers. The Microlube GL261 is very hard to find in small quantities and I'm not sure what size ball link pliers to use. Any information on these items would be appreciated.

      Lee Nelson I just use triflow lithium grease and the ball link plyers are just a standard universal set. HeliDirect sells everything you would need.

    Hi man I would like to know why you use nail polish remover just to not get your hand dirty when making the build ?
    They put oil from the factory to protect the parts right ? From rusting ?
    So why you clean the oil ?
    Chris you have bec on this helicopter I don't have it on my goblin 380 I only have Phoenix edge lite 100

    • @crmodels
      @crmodels  7 років тому

      Syndicate 997 I use the nail polish to clean the threads before applying loctite before inserting the bolts into the frame. I also use nail polish and tags to clean the dirty carbon fiber dust off the carbon parts. I had an external BEC on one of the 380s but the other two I just used the BEC inside the Castle Edge Lite 75.

    How do I get the 'carbon' look for the red "V" on the vcontrol radio? Is that just tape that can be purchased?

    Do you have a link for that? Thanks for your help Chris in a week or two I'm getting ready to build my SAB Goblin 380 KSE I purchased a few months back from Helidirect.

    • @crmodels
      @crmodels  8 років тому

      Lee Nelson Go to HeliDirect and search "swash leveler". With the molded links of your servos are 90 degrees you really don't need the tool.

    Hey Chris, great video. Quick question. The SAB manual calls for green loctite which I guess is a step stronger than red. Do you use red in place of green? Also, will the red work for bearings? I haven't started yet so I don't know if all bearings are locked in from the factory. I know some are.
    Thanks man

      rlane4osu I've never used green. All the bearings are Factory installed. I've never touched them in the 15+ SAV I've built. I use blue loctite on every part of the build except red on motor pinion screw and tail grub screw.

    Hello Chris, I have just maiden my 380 KSE, having problem with tailwag... Tried gain up and down but its still there... Checked the mekanics and everything is smoth. Running vbar and vbar control. What gains are you running on tail/main? 😀

    • @crmodels
      @crmodels  5 років тому

      Roger Göstasson Pop off the tail pushrod link from the tail pitch slider and make sure you can blow on it and it moves free. I know with the 380s I had if the tail pitch links to the tail blade grips were too tight it would wag. What tail servo are you running?

    • @crmodels
      @crmodels  5 років тому

      Roger Göstasson Fast wag is usually electronic gain and a slow wag is something mechanical.

    Great video Chris! I have a 2 bladed 380, and have just acquired and built a 380 KSE. Both helis have Ikons with MKS servos. I have cyclic gain on 31 for the 2 blade, and 30 for the KSE. The KSE flips much slower than the conventional 380. Both flight set ups are hard 3d with 90 for agility. Is the KSE slower by nature? Thanks in advance for your input.

      @crmodels  8 років тому +1

      Joseph S No the KSE should flip and roll more precise. Just up your agility. On Mikado NEO I run 120 rates and 30 expo. It's all personal preference.

    Very nice video, you got any tips about gains and settings in the vbar neo for the 380 kse, im getting mine tomorrow, going for vbar neo as i have in my G570, how do the mechanical setup difference from 2 blade, for example when picking up the 8 degree in vbar setup, measure every blade over the boom?

    • @crmodels
      @crmodels  8 років тому

      Just use the Vbar NEO wizard and select "other 450". To get your 8 degrees do the same as a two blade head take each blade over the front of the Heli to check for 0 pitch and 8 degrees of pitch.

    Hi Cris, Just a quick question, Iam thinking of buying a Goblin 380 because they seem to have less vibration problems because of the rubber belt from the motor driving the heli main and tail rotors. On the T-rex there is always a 'hard' connection, pinion to gear and the vibrations go straight to the frame. The Goblins sound better too and do not shake as hard on startup as a T-rex. What is your oppinion on this. (anybody really). Cheers.

      Once you go Goblin you don't look back!! Def worth trying one out for sure.

    On a two blade heli, you set zero pitch with one blade over the boom and the gauge on the blade that hangs over the front. On this heli, this can not be done (obvisouly). So, when setting zero pitch, where should the blades be? I am assuming still on the front blade, but I hate to assume.

    • @crmodels
      @crmodels  7 років тому +1

      therick04pp Yes put blade over the front of the heli and check zero pitch. Do this to all 3 of them.

      Just finished the build today and didn't want to fly it until I found out, but couldn't find it anywhere!! This is what I did so I'm good to go for my maiden. Thank you !!

    No I have the swash leveler already. I'm talking about the tool to put Loctite on the tailboom and for use with the ball links.

      Lee Nelson The black cyclinder tool? It's the SAB wrench they send with the kit.
