Even if it amounts to retconning, I think this change and subsequent changes for Season 4 and beyond could really be turned to an advantage for the game's lore. Some people are also drawn in by that aspect of the game, which can't hurt in any calculations Embark does.

debatable, keep in mind the cashout mode would still be in the game and you suggest that most players are "ranked" players which is probably incorrect.
@@EkaZoko it has nothing to do with ranked, cashout and tournaments make the game unique. That's why its garnered so much attention because its different and super fun
@@arcanum3882 So i'm a little confused by your statement. If Season 3 was Season 1, is cashout and tournaments just gone? It would still be in the game via normal and world tour modes. I assume your argument would be that the shift in focus would be towards TA and not cashout. However, most players (ex. casual) would still be playing cashout in my opinion with little to no desire for TA especially if your argument is not related to ranked at all.
I appreciate you sacrificing your sleep schedule for those awesome livestreams, keep it up brother.
Season 3 intrigues me but one thing needs to be said: if cashout is the main mode of the finals then it should be the one in competitive (if that's where the balance is concentrated it makes sense)
However, it doesn't bother me because it can be a good change and in any case I don't play very competitively but I can understand the discomfort of those who do it
I'm much more worried about seeing other nerfs to heavy and other buffs to light (the feel of heavy weapons has gotten a lot worse since the closed beta and there's still the problem of the crosshair not being aligned with the point where the bullets actually go/exit )
The problem with cash out as the competitive mode is the 2 heal beams +heavy or 2 heavy+ heal beam is completely busted and makes the meta stale but now all 3 classes can contribute with terminal attacks
Who's we? Im always down for a change. Lets be honest cash out isnt doing it currently. Taking out cash out from ranked will allowe them to rework it someway better.

Well it doesn’t have to be. I think no one likes a third party so a game that doesn’t revolve around a third party is better or isn’t it?
the finals is an objective game. In apex you have to kill the enemies, so the idea is different. Apex you can run away with no problems or just play your life. THE FINALS you have to play the objective, its how you win. Third parties force you to be in a disadvantageous position. A position that doesn't feel fair especially if the team that ends up winning won for a bad reason.
Because its not a battle royale?

There is not much players to have TWO ranked modes guys.. be real... we need at least x5 for player DAILY cause 10k at steam - is a joke for such kind of game.. cause the game really deserve to have tons of players and money of course.

If i wanted to play search and destroy I would go play COD, siege, or x defiant. I find TA boring to watch and play. Besides that new map, cosmetics, specialization, and weapons look dope
i feel cashout tournament should kinda be like trials in destiny2
People getting upset with the game and its decisions just confuses me. The game is fun. Unless you’re trying to sweat and win every game, this game always feels fun. What confuses me more is people saying power shift ranked mode… that and bank it are the last modes that need a ranked like you said
Honestly the modes aren't my concern, what are your thoughts on all the melee weapons? Riot shield Kali sticks ruined COD.
I will be streaming some gameplay of it tomorrow, so I'm not sure what to think of them right now, but to be honest. I feel like the new weapons overlap with some of the current weapon's niche which is probably a bad thing.

what did they cook bad since the game came out? they have been actively combatting cheaters, have been one of the most active dev teams, been listening to community feedback (ESPECIALLY in ranked), and respects your money in terms of micro transactions.
This guy thinks TA is faster pace when you literally can sit for 2 minutes before you play again if you die by a cross map sniper lmao. Makes you wonder if these players even like the game.
literally the same in cashout lmao. I am almost 100% sure I have played both gamemodes over 200% more than you. Not to mention, embark is literally making this decision. Without cashout there would be no the finals. There is a small minority of people that want TA over cashout. If TA was the only mode this game would have been dead on arrival. But keep insulting me in the replies makes you look like a genius

and I was grinding ranked cashout for the other half of the season haha
Hook should replace charge and slam IMO. Being able to run through walls (looks silly as hell, but w/e), do tons of damage, and provide faster run speed is way too much utility. As a heavy main, it's actually busted. I do think heavy needs some mobility love to balance it out, but I wouldn't hate losing charge and slam for hook.
