Probably the best detailed presentation for a Boston whaler 405 conquest. I don't think there's a better boat out there. This has everything you would ever want, or need. I would love to be able to afford this boat, my sons become quite a fisherman, he would love this boat for his family. thank you
I agree to me this is the perfect boat and also the safest in terms of it not sinking (others may claim their boat wont sink but thats with the boat submerged and 3' of the nose sticking above water, a boston whaler does not sink)
The larger Boston Whalers are excellent boats. I was never was a big fan of their smaller boats bc you always got soaking wet in them no matter how much you tried to stay dry. Of all the major brands, especially American, I’d say they’re probably the best choice if you’re buying it for work/business or you have a major fishing hobby. If you’re after more luxurious boating I’d go in another direction.
I reckon the 32 - 34 foot range is ideal for an outboard boat, this is a bit silly versus a diesel of comparable size. Plus it’s quite expensive. Plus I’d take a Grady!
I think one of the main advantages or differences to consider is the much higher speed potential and the convenience the joystick can provide for holding station around the dock etc. I’m seeing many guys who are conditioned to much higher cruise speeds and therefore they are happier with outboards. But fully understand your point too that diesels will also suit a majority of blokes in this size
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife i suppose it also depends on the diesel, something like a Viking isn’t going to be much slower on a flat day and probably faster on a normal offshore day. And once you’re at 3m it’s not much for for a smaller Viking. Though point taken about helm master or equivalents and general convenience for handling!
The Whaler won’t “go down or you” which explains its relatively low prices as opposed to the Phuket That handle in the cockpit to pull yourself with probably should have a curtain
While this looks to be a very functional & competent boat, you could buy 3 x Wellcraft 355s or a Riviera 50 SMY for this money. For me the price doesn't stack up. Great content though Dan, loved the review. Thanks for getting us talking about boats 👍
Yes good point… but the Wellcraft is considerably smaller in all dimensions. Check out my video and you’ll see how much less space I have on the Wellcraft. I suspect this will compete more fairly with some of the big Grady Whites I hope to view next month in Florida. Riviera yes and a wonderful boat but almost half the top speed so this may be a consideration for some guys who wish to run fast out to their spots…? Who doesn’t love talking boats hey!
seems like only 1 live well is basic . also doesnt have much of a fish cleaning area but its a really nice boat . feels like a 48-52 ft would be perfect
Good day Dan Boston whaler 405 is a beautiful boat however, it only has one bathroom. I got my fingers crossed. I hope you do the BENETEAU Antares 12 two bathrooms and a fly bridge hopefully 2025
@@lweleven3423 absolutely… it’s so interesting as I travel the world and keep discovering how people are using their boats differently. It can vary wildly from country to country
Nice boat but seems really "over packed" with gadgets that in reality you wouldn't use and adds to a cramped interior imho. Could probably have a striped down version bringing the 3 Mil AUD price back to justify the fuel burn.
Yeah I can see people using this boat for entertaining and water sports without fishing so this could also be a good idea for some. Just need to consider future resale when you strip a boat down in case you’ll be competing with high spec boats

I need to downsize from my kayak. This should do

Yes you could basically treat it as a tender and a lifeboat to a larger yacht.
Boston Whaler are amazing. Smashed it Dan.
Oh I wish I could downsize from my dinghy to this boat😂
Same haha
Me too
What a fantastic project. Tks for the video. Greetings from Zurich.
Many thanks!
My preferred boat ❤️
Great walkthrough
A regular "Swiss Army Knife" of a boat!!!

for 3$mln AUD you can get 2 Nordhavn41s , or 2 of Merry Fisher 1295 , while it looks nice, dont think there is value
WOW,I just look at price!wOw WoooooW,madness!!!!
Ideal -and made in the USA . I wonder if deisel ob's are an option?
Great review as per, Dan.
Very functional, useful boat indeed.
Not a pretty boat though, Boston's aren't, if that's important to you... 👍
Just shy of $3,000,000 apparently via Boatsales. Out of my price range but a WOW of a boat.!
please review Galeon 435gto and compare to 405 conquest... thanks. great videos and appreciate the true sea trials.
Downsize but retaining the price of the upscale one that you want to downsize from.

Gradys ride better offshore

Great Video! If you like this boat check out the 477 evolution from Intrepid you will really love that!

Just needs a tuna tower and a set of Outriggers’s
THIS THING STARTS AT 1 MILLION!!!😮
Does it transform into a helicopter?
Imagine a boat with 3 monster outboards being the perfect “downsize” option.
Perfecto, es un sueño
I'm in South America now trying to learn Spanish but at this time I still suck at it, but thanks anyway for the comment.
@@BoatLife_DansBoatLife it's pretty easy to translate, It says " perfect, it's a dream"
I agree to this engine setup if it wasn’t a $200k upgrade
With the hard aft enclosure, this would make an excellent live-aboard for the Great Loop!
Yep it would!

BW are not known for being the most beautiful boats they are for the most part sport fishing and unsinkable boats..
If "downsizing" to a million dollar boat congrats you won at life
You are so right 😂
will you even out your audio please Love listening but geez music to you and i'm on the volume control
I think that 3 engine gas guzzling Boston whalers would be a dream upgrade to the many lol not a downsizer . In board diesel may be a better boat
Fair call, I guess I was imagining the guy who's had the Riviera 78 or Viking 90 etc and wants something smaller..

$2.9m for a 40fter. Ouch

She looks like a Merry Fisher or Antares. Boston Whalers had better looks before 😢
Again😂🌏💯 Ya the Tobi H. Of Ozzie land😇🔫
40 ft only one head ? 😊 PASS
Fair point. Maybe they are thinking that she will mostly be used in the day boat function
🙏 👍 🇨🇷

True
Say ALUMINUM again!
Alloy mate 😂
Hereya even this the 1% cant afford.
Haha yeah i guess that depends on which country
Yeah but only 3 engines
