NOW TRY THIS! Mix 1 cup HOT water with 1 tablespoon baking soda, (sodium bicarbonate). Then pour it into a spray bottle. Spray it on after applying the glue. No baking soda powder mess!
I had a trim piece in a Buick Park Avenue that held the map lights break. The plastic was very brittle. I did the super glue and baking soda trick. Every time I tried to put the trim back in place, it broke again in a different place....LOL. I had to repair and reinstall the piece five times before I got it right. I actually had to build up and reinforce weak areas on the back side of the trim piece. The part is obsolete and more than likely one from a junk yard would be a different color. Once I got it repaired, the cracks were practically invisible. You don't notice the repair site unless you're really looking for it. I applied the baking soda on the back side and it built up very well and seemed hard as a rock instantaneously!
Funny that this was the subject of the very first video of yours I watched years ago on the other channel. Works very well! I’ve used this many times thanks to your advice. Much appreciated.
1. Store super glue in the fridge and it doesn't go off 2. Use some kicker (as the model aircraft guys call it) to set it instantly. 3. The baking soda trick is great for filling gaps.
Saw original vid. Saved me several times lol Edit: i actually bought a magnetic "salt shaker" type container... Has a turnable top so you can control the amount of baking soda. With the magnet it stays handy in the tool box. Often I will soda one part and glue on the other. Certainly been handy.
Hi, I'm new to your channel. The superglue trick is not new nor is it a big secret to law enforcement. As a retired State Trooper and hobbyist, I enjoyed your portrayal. Baking soda has been used in the hobby world (RC Airplanes) at least the last 43 yrs. Originally introduced into the medical world super glue has a ton of applications. In an emergency at our flying field and without baking soda, I've also used fine powdered dirt and it worked. I have mended aluminum boat props by forming a dam around the damaged area and filling w/ baking soda & superglue. I saved big big $$$ by repairing, stabilizing and restoring a crumbling steering wheel on my '47 Cad limo. With some sanding, primer and paint it looks like new. Wear eye protection, and avoid breathing the fumes when it kicks. If you don't want to spend the next several days picking it off your fingers, wear gloves.

True story... In the late 70's my buddy gave me some car wash/wax powder in a baggie. His dad drove transport trailer for new cars and this was a product they used in the industry. I got involved in an accident, cop reaches in glovebox to 'help me' find insurance papers (ya) and pulls out about a 1/4 pound of this stuff. Well you know the brown grin that comes from the backside? I swear to God I kept a straight face for about 20 seconds while he's waving it about 'What's this.... what's this'? I told him to go ahead and take it home. OK so finally I couldn't keep it in any longer and told him it was car wash. I laughed so hard he knew that he was had and threw it back in the car
Guess it really isn't to late to learn a old dog new tricks. This will come in handy. While on the leaking Metal fuel tank. Last time i "repaired" one of those on a car i just used a bar of soap and rubbed over the whole on the outside (duh). That damn whole was leak free for years on a daily driver through rain, snow, sleet.
Let's hope this goes viral again!🤘🇺🇸
This is the very first video I
Watched on the original channel.
The return of the OG clickbate title... Love it
Here we go. I’ve been waiting for this million view idea!

Top notch in comparison to the original!
Excellent. Pill bottle will be going in my toolbox shortly. Thank you.
Can you hit the jackpot again with this idea?
How well does this work after you sand it down smooth? Still just as strong or does it become a bit weaker?
same as with weld :P It removes some of strenght.
We used this trick in the car audio industry late 80s early 90s before dash kits were out on new models. It makes great filler inside vehicles.
1. Store super glue in the fridge and it doesn't go off
2. Use some kicker (as the model aircraft guys call it) to set it instantly.
3. The baking soda trick is great for filling gaps.
Useful handy little trick. Thank you.

Love hearing get out and fix it at the end
All thanks to you. I gave you credit for it in one of my videos. I cant remember which one though.
Ugh, I forgot about your new channel. Got on to find the TTX ball joint video.
Another trick I've used is to put epoxy on one side and super glue on the other. Not sure if it's stronger or weaker but it dries almost instantly.
I have been fixing plastic computer cases with this method, it is great filler for missing pieces of plastic.

If you are worried about getting pulled over, carry a tiny bottle of vinegar as well. You can prove on the spot that it's baking soda not c.....cc...e
I used this on a cracked crank case on my lawn tractor 5 years still no leak

I find that breathing on the glue makes it harden quickly. The glue needs humidity to set.
Could also carry the baking soda in the original box, in a Tupperware containers to keep airtight
Now you just taught an old dog a new trick 😎
Awesome!!
Finally you gonna get that revenue 100%
Loved the original though.
Such a goober but AWESOME trick!!!
