I’m thrilled with the end result! Looks beautiful in my house. Thanks Melanie !!
Oh I’m so glad Pat, you are so welcome!
What a transformation! Your work is SO good, and the results are amazing!❤
Thank you Sissy! 😘
Wow, turned out stunning. Awesome job, you really put a lot of work into this, hard to put a price on all that labor. It really paid off though! Great job, I love your work! ♥
Thanks! Yes, I learned a valuable lesson. When refinishing an antique like this one, charge more when the client wants everything to be natural, it’s beautiful but is way more labor.
Wow very gorgeous! I would suggest using a soft sponge sanding surface even on your electric sander will really really work on rounded surfaces without ruining the contour.
Yes, I looked into purchasing a sander like that, I wasn’t all that impressed and having to hold the button down while sanding would be hard on my hands. They are very expensive too! Thanks for the tip though and thanks for watching!! ❤️
@@furniturerecreated You can buy the sponge sanding pad to use with any sander, you don’t need to buy the sander, it helps with curved surfaces a lot .
Good work. I know what you mean about sore hands. I ended up with trigger thumb from sanding.
Sorry to hear that, I’ve got a few of those myself! 😳 Thanks for watching!
Beautiful ❤
Thank you!
Beautiful result!
Thank you! 😊
Stunning piece!
Many thanks Norma! ☺️
Hi Melanie. New channel name. Great work. Compliments of the season to you from South Africa
Yes! Thank you Gail, glad to see you again! ❤️
You could try peroxide or oxalic acid to bleach the dark wood on the feet before painting. Looks great.
Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind, but water tends to be a wood killer but anything is worth trying for sure!! Thanks for watching! ☺️
I learned about it on @flippingdrawers. he is really good. It does not hurt the wood and I have actually used peroxide to lighten stains out of a piece I did. @@furniturerecreated
