      Freed has been streaming his Apex play for many seasons, and he always gets super stressed and has to take breaks and gets headaches and stuff, but then he keeps coming back and spending $$ to summon on every banner. I think he finally realized it was a toxic relationship and he wasn't actually having fun. He is free.

    I blame both Freed & the Langrisser Devs. I blame Freed for being a competitive tryhard & not just enjoying the game casually. I blame Langrisser Devs for developing the game to be Pay to Win. Pushing the level to be competitive faster behind a paywall. It looks like the new casting level cap will further that trend.
    I am far from being a whale, but I do throw a few dollars in this game. Maybe $50 a year. I've come to accept that I'm not going to be a top Apex PvPer & going to be stuck in mediocrity. I also started the game 3 years late, so I'm always going to be behind some people. I'm fine with that. I still enjoy the PvE that I still have to do. I enjoy the humorous story. And I get beat up on in Apex a lot (my enchants are mostly PvE & I don't use assassins much yet), but I don't get upset over getting stomped repeatedly over & over. It's interesting sometimes regardless. It's whatever. If you don't take it too seriously, it's harder to get enraged. Think "free kong" mentality.
    side note: I do sometimes get angry, but usually I get angry at myself for making a stupid blunder & throwing a winning situation into a loss. Ideally, I should learn something from such mistakes, but if not, then having a short memory or amnesia helps to deal with it, heh.

    Do all the top players have inventories like his? If that is what I am attempting to compete against then there is no way I could ever stand a chance. I have been playing since week two and my inventory is not even a tenth of what I just saw and that does not even include what it took to get his heroes where there are. I used to spend money but was not seeing any return on my investments but to attain what he had I can only imagine,.....

    • @Kongrisser

      I don't know about exactly what he had, but most high level day one players would have a pretty significant stockpile of a variety of gear. Quality of enchants would of course vary wildly.

      @@righteousfreed5119 I wish you were able to just tone down your competitiveness. I think that could have greatly reduced your anxiety. But alas, I suppose it's hard to accept to take a lower position in competitiveness when you were so competitive before. Perhaps your position in the community made it difficult to lower your competitiveness. It probably felt like it was better to commit seppukku than to accept a demotion I suppose. The loss of face & honor at taking a lower position in the community is hard to accept. Well, regardless, I hope you can find happiness in your next venture & try the Free Kong mentality/philosophy to competitive gaming.

      @@righteousfreed5119 As a person who has started 3 years late, and only spend a little (about $50/year), I found that yes, you can compete, but you are not really close to being as competitive as the older accounts that have spent more time &/or money. The Truth of the matter is that the Apex PvP in Langrisser Mobile is quite susceptible to Pay to Win marketing economic business model. You can still have plenty of fun playing Langrisser Mobile outside of the Apex PvP. You could say that PvE is very Free to Play friendly, but after all the content is completed, Apex Arena is the ultimate end game when there is nothing left to do. But this end game is where the bane of anxiety & frustrations are greatest. Know this, and plan accordingly as to how deep you want to commit to the competition.

      Sure the game isn’t getting as many new players as it used to, but from what I’ve seen on Reddit and Facebook, quite a few players that left, have started to return.
      Also, I wouldn’t necessarily worry about the game’s income. It’ll end eventually, as all things unfortunately. But the good thing is, the game is still making a good amount of money. They still have cosplay and special events with bands, in-game props, etc. and those types of events aren’t cheap at all. So they definitely still have to be in a net positive to produce stuff like that.
      Plus most the money they make is from Chinese players anyways lol

      The truth of the matter is that as online progression games get older, the more bloated content makes the barrier to entry more difficult to get into the game. It's harder for newer players to catch up in end game Apex PVP to be competitive to older established players. This is especially the case for a pay to win competitive PvP games. Of course, new players can still play PvE content at their own pace.

    so sad, i prefer to sell or gift the account to who's still enjoying the game

    • @naejin
      @naejin 8 місяців тому +1

      Technically, selling your account is against Terms of Service (TOS) &/or End User License Agreement (EULA). People do it, but they are not supposed to. If game companies find out (usually they have a small team to track this), they will ban the account & potentially maybe some other action such as ban your other accounts. But the odds are that are somewhat low, so many people are willing to take that chance. Not all companies are as vigilant at account integrity/security though, so some companies might be more willing to have a blind eye, or less of a budget to monitor this.
      I was part of a 4 person game dev team, and even we banned accounts that got bought/sold if the players were too flagrant at admitting it on forums & such, where we were able to find out about them. But we didn't have the resources to actually check as vigilant as we'd like if they were quiet hush hush about it. Now a bigger game would likely have more resources for this if they wanted to.

    • @alenzandria3743
      @alenzandria3743 8 місяців тому

      @@naejin yes, but it's difficult to differ if they sold the account or just simply give away the account, for me it's better than destroying and abandon the account itself

    • @naejin
      @naejin 8 місяців тому

      @@alenzandria3743 actually, to the game company, there is no real difference of gifting or selling. but gifting can be slightly more difficult to track. Game companies in the past used to IP track. Although VPNs might make that more difficult nowadays.
      When we the consumer play online games on an account, it's under a license, such that the game company actually still have rights over the account. They are the actual owners. We just agree to a license to use it. If we do anything that breaks the license to you, which is exclusive to just you, then they can ban the account forever if they want.
      Despite this, game companies do tend to want to avoid public social media backlash, so they won't likely ban someone for something that is perceived minor & not worth public backlash for something that might be seen as heavy handed or unfair. Game companies have to pick their fights.

      The issue to your request is that you're looking at this idea from one perspective. And that is of as you, a player, and what you would like to have to benefit yourselves.
