I think the brick wall in the worship space is gorgeous. If you painted the brick white it would give the room a sterile atmosphere, not warm as it is now. So, don't paint it!!!
Hi Megan! I’ve been a subscriber of yours since you started youtube and have loved all of your content. I am not a Mennonite, but I am a Christian. I’m also a black woman, so these times are a little touchy for me. I think a lot of “influencers” don’t want to be viewed as being political when speaking up about certain topics, but honestly when speaking and standing for the Kingdom of God, its not political at all. Its a matter of right vs. wrong and racism/hatred of any kind is evil and there is absolutely nothing wrong with stating that. That is truth, God’s truth! I don’t think that there is anything wrong with stating God’s truth in your videos. Stating that all people were created in the image of God is truth. Stating that God loves us all and Jesus died for all is truth. The people who are truly for you will be for you regardless. Just my two scents. ❤️

Megan Fox Unlocked I would say that a group of people treated differently because of something like race is morally wrong. A human rights issue. White folks wanting to keep black folks down is where systems of hierarchy and oppression come in, and that’s what makes it political. White folks like you and I get to choose whether or not to be involved. I guess noticing you have that option, is a step.
I think that people get caught up on the thought process that "God doesn't care what you wear." And I agree; come as you are! However, I think we forget that sometimes we need to do things for ourselves. It puts me in a better heart-place by dressing up a bit. It's my way of signaling myself that this is important and significant! In fact, it reminds me a bit of tithing. God doesn't "need" our money, but he knows that WE need to have the soul experience of giving our money. Love the vlog, as always, Megan!!
getting "dressed up'" for Church can mean different things though. I grew up Catholic in Italy, there people wear jeans, t-shirts and all that, but you'll never seen shorts, very short skirts, and uncovered shoulders. once I moved in the US I noticed everyone would dress up with fancy clothes, but I've also seen many tank tops, very short dresses, men with shirt on top but shorts on the bottom.. it doesn't make sense to me, but to each its own I guess
For "selfish" reasons I most especially look forward to yours and Lynette's videos each week so I DON'T have to hear anything 'news' just the ordinary day to day life that you both live. There's enough news and op eds and such for the reading THIS is MY happy place x

We dress up for church. When I was younger I heard someone say "if we can spend hours getting ready for a party (or to go to the club) we even by a new dress why wouldn't we do the same to worship our Lord". I always think about this when I am getting ready for church. Great job on the renovations. Love your channel!

I find it very refreshing to watch something that's on the lighter side. Many channels I used to enjoy have laden their content with politics and covid topics. Some have became so radical that I have unsubscribed. You're doing a great job. God bless
I'm Glad you touched on the challenging times and the natural difficulty we all have wanting to keep joy and goodness in our and loved ones' lives while also acknowledging that so many people are in pain and danger and that our hearts can grow heavy with the grief of it; that sometimes unspoken but deep empathetic pain we feel for those who aren't safe. Beloved Lord, help our hearts to remember all those who are hurting and to know your love is touching each soul, even now. May joy and love be a humble balm and may we do what we can, but also sigh into your grace and rest in your eternal love.
I see many comments saying how nice it is to take a break from the heaviness of the news and escape into the news free content of Megan’s videos. I ask people to consider that many people cannot take that break. They are living the content of those news stories every day. It is a privilege we have in our society that allows some of us to take that break. What would it have been like to be a very early Christian in Roman occupied territories? Would their danger and anxiety have weighed on them in big and small ways moment by moment? Megan, whatever your heart and mind wish to say or not say about any topic, current or not, I will greatly enjoy watching you say it on your channel. That’s why I’m here, to hear your voice. Whether it’s an escape for me or not, I will learn something about you and about me and I will love that! I am happy with whatever you share.
It is so refreshing to see a man in a suit for business and church, like it was about 25+ years ago. And women in skirts and dresses. I still wear dresses, however I do so on a daily basis and cover my head (when it is safe). Love your videos and sharing life with us. Josh, did an awesome job on the church building. It's amazing how fast the kids have grown. They grow up so fast! I remember when mine were little, but now they are all approaching their 40's. But do enjoy my grandkids, as I have ten. I used to wear jeans to church but I’m seeing things different now. For the past 6-8 months or so I’ve been wearing dresses or skirts. I love going worshipping God and want to look my best and feel jeans are too casual for the way I feel. I don’t care what anyone else wears including my husband who usually wears jeans. I am just being convicted myself.
I honestly love that you haven’t done a long section in your video about everything going on in America. We get enough of that through Facebook, Instagram, the news, and even the radio. Your channel Megan is a refreshing space that I can personally just relax watching! Acknowledging what is happening for less than 1 minute is plenty, you are allowed to keep things private that you don’t want to discuss on your channel. In my church most of the congregation (being an older congregation) dress up for church. That being said dressing up can be different to people. I my self was taught you wore your best to church. God has given us so much we should honor him with our best. It makes me realize how blessed I am for all that I have. All God given.

I go to a church where people generally dress up and dress modestly, our church building itself it’s very Baroque so it makes sense to dress up in a place that looks like a castle! I love hearing your thoughts and learning more about your church!

Me and my husband wear nice casual to our church. I wear a casual dress or nice slacks and tops; my husband wears nice slacks and button shirt; usually not a tie. Many others wear very casual; jeans, etc...even the women. As you said in your video; there are so few times we get to dress nice anymore and church is a time me and my husband like to do so. I was also raised to dress nice for church...we didn’t have a lot growing up and my mother would say to us; “you may not have a closet full of cloths but, you can look nice, neat and at you best in what you have.” She made sure we did. Yes, please continue making your normal videos; they are so refreshing! UA-cam is where I come to get away from the horrors going on in the world at present. Love your channel!
Great video! At the church I grew up in and my current church (I moved), all the talking and visiting is done outside of the sanctuary doors. Once we come inside, we read our Bibles or pray or sit there quietly. There is soft music playing as we put our minds upon the Lord. Some people even get there 20-30 minutes early. It is like having an extra Quiet Time or Devotional time.
Just be yourself and continue as you are. You are unique and your vlogs are so lovely to watch.Never second guess yourself. People watch because they like you for you . Blessings to you and your family x

Your church looks fantastic and very good quality. When I used to go to church we always made the effort to dress up as it felt wrong not to! There are a lot of you tubers currently saying something that does not come across as genuine for the sake of saying something! Hi Megan, I love your channel the way it is. I know you don't do politics and that is part of why I love this channel. Current events and politics is in everyone's face so very much that it is refreshing to have a place to go without all that noise. However, this is your channel and if something is bothering you and you need some place to express your thoughts, by all means do so. As far as explaining how your beliefs are a part of the fabric of your life, I want to encourage you to do that as well. Your relationship with God is part of who you are and I love that about you!

For church I wear either business casual clothing or jeans and a pretty/business casual top. I agree with you, it’s not about what you wear but what’s in your heart. But your husband’s comment (we don’t have many event we get to dress up for) is so true too! Makes me pause to think it would be cool to dress up for church more often! 😊
We have a mixture in our church, some dressed up some more casual. We all wear long sleeves or 3 quarter length and the women all wear dresses or skirts. I always dress up our family but I feel like it gets me in the mind for worship, maybe that sounds crazy. Also I love the content you do, and I like you keeping it upbeat I feel like that it is a place I can turn to to get a break from the news and I can watch with small children around and not have to worry about what they will hear.
PLEASE make your wall calendars available!!! Earlier in the video I couldn’t stop thinking how cute your wall calendar was in your kitchen, and I think the calendar you use for your UA-cam channel production schedule would also work for me. I would definitely be interested in buying one!!!
Megan, I’m loving your channel and a few others, which I actually found to get away from the news and politics! Too many things we see are political...movies, TV programs of all kinds, so your day-to-day life with your family and friends are “a breath of fresh air” for me! I’m the mother of a fun-loving daughter and mother of two. She likes pretty clothes the way you do! She keeps her house so organized that she keeps me dusting when I find out she’s headed my way! Ha! She, you, and Lynnette are all inspirational for me...young moms who love God, adore their husbands and children and keep busy all the time! Don’t change any of your filming.
Your husband and you seem like a good balance. I love his positive spin on an anxiety thought of children and the extra time. What a mindful moment he suggested. I have got to church so late recently. He reminds me to be much more deliberate in that potentially quiet time before sermon.
I think you addressed it as much as you need to now. On Wednesday night really casual...most times i make it just in time from work and come in my work clothes!!!! But at any service, it's come as you are!
I love that you go on as normal in your videos. When we pick up our phones, look at the news etc. the heaviness of what's going on around us is dumped on us. Your channel is somewhere we can go to find a since of normal. As a mom of 2 toddlers myself, sinking down in the depression of today's world is not fair for my kids or husband. We still have a great life to live. Your channel gives me inspiration to keep that going. Hugs
As an added item to my posted comment, in this day of worries, stress, fear and sadness, I’ve found I can not dwell on the news. Of course I want to know what’s going on. Our country needs so many prayers! So many of our brothers and sisters are hurting. That being said, once I have heard the news, it’s turned off. I can not dwell on what I can not change other than by prayer. You tube is my escape to watch people I feel close to and visit with them every time they post. Keep up the good work.
I am Catholic and at my specific church it is not required to dress up. Everyone seems to wear what is comfortable for them. Some Sundays I dress up a little nicer and on others I wear jeans a t-shirt. For a while I thought I had to dress up every Sunday but then I realized just being at Church and worshipping God is what’s important!
Inspiring video as usual 😀. At our church some come in suit and tie and others in shorts and flip flops. On average people "dress up" a little because as you say when else do we get to do that. Sadly we're still watching our church services online as only groups of 50 and less are allowed in places of worship at this time.
I appreciate that you recognize that there are a lot of heavy things going on in the world right now. I don't think it's problematic to keep posting your content and your life. Those videos still do have a place right now. I guess I've always looked up to you as a really lovely example of a modern Christian woman and perhaps personally felt that was your brand even if it's not explicitly how you identify your UA-cam brand. Some of the first videos I watched of yours discussed being a Mennonite and even things like birth control and I was so impressed. Given that, I sort of expected to hear some kind of reflection on the sanctity of all human life, particularly right now Black human life. I don't think that's political. Certainly the ways we go around trying to fix systemic issues in our country can feel more political and I don't think it's fair to ask you to comment on that, given the scope of your channel. Even if it's simply a short reflection or prayer, I'd love to hear those things from you.
I totally agree with Katherine. Expressing empathy for what Black people are going through lately would be lovely and consistent with your message of light here on your channel. But no need to change overall content- I love it! But yeah, I’ve never seen you shy away from tough issues and I think it’s ok to express how a Mennonite might experience these times from a nonviolent/pacifist, life honoring, non political perspective. What Josh said about quiet yourself & prepare for worship. Some of my family were Quakers when they came to America. So I was reading an old Quaker book about their worship. They did what Josh said; they called it to "center down" on God's presence. So they saved visiting with each other until after the worship service. I have always recalled that when my spirit is troubled. We don't need to be "at church" to center down because God is with us always. It's a great way to reconnect with the Lord in a quiet moment.
I am no longer a church goer for a number of reasons but before this season of life I was Catholic and it’s super common for people to spend the time before Mass praying personally or just taking a quite moment to prepare and I love that practice
Our church in NC is a little bit casual a little bit formal. A lot of elderly men and women who have gone to the church their whole lives wear what I would call "Sunday" clothes, meaning a button up shirt and tie for men and a nice shirt and slacks or skirt for the older women. The some of the younger families wear jeans while there are many families like my husband and I that are right in the middle. I typically wear a nice dress and my husband wears khaki pants and a button up or a polo but doesn't wear a tie. Josh has such a good point about preparing your mind for worship! So often I rush in and don't take the time to prepare my heart and get in a good worship mindset. I have missed your vlogs! So good to learn from your family and children.
I belong to a Lutheran Church - I love dressing up for church I think it is a way to show that your worship service is important. I really like your channel, light content and so refreshing in this horrid mean time in our world. You make me think about faith, home is not just a house & family. Thank you for an amazing channel
Your channel is great just the way it is. I'm a Grammy with 4 grandkids. I really enjoy seeing how you're teaching your daughter to help in the kitchen along with other small tasks she can do. I've taught my kids ever since they were little (& that includes my son's too) how to cook & pick up their mess. I think it's one of the most important skills to teach them. We all have to eat & I would hate to think of my kids existing on fast food because they didn't know how to cook. Your kids are so cute!! I can't believe your daughters vocabulary, she talks so well & uses words most other kids her age don't know. You & your husband have a very beautiful family!!

I am not a Mennonite but I Love their culture and how they use technology but it's not always the newest greatest things. They just take it back to the basics and it's so amazing and heartwarming.

I love the fact that I see your vlogs and it's your family and you. That's what I come for, is nice to break away from the heaviness of the world sometimes so thank you for giving us something else to enjoy. 🥰 I'm in Australia 🇦🇺 and have my" church clothes", I am also a leader in our church, and a personal choice for me is skirts and dresses, not pants, especially if I'm on the platform. 🕊 In Victoria we can only have 20 people at a service which means for us we are still closed. We haven't had a service since March, but so blessed with technology we use for our services and can access other services around the world. 😊

The world does seem heavy right now, and it's somewhat out of our control. I take one day at a time and I'm thankful that my family and friends are healthy and safe. I've given myself a break from the news and politics because I found myself in tears and sinking into a funk. It doesn't mean that I don't care, it's just overwhelming at times. As for church, our church was built over 200 years ago and while it's not a cathedral I love it because when I walk in the door I'm at peace. When I was a child we dressed for church complete with hats and gloves, now we dress, but without the hats and the gloves and we wear more simple attire. Never change the way you do things Megan, you're genuine and that's what makes you, you.
Definitely always dressed up for church, the boys too. I don’t know .. it’s ok to come as you are too as long as your heart is in the right place, but I’ve always felt I want to bring my best before the Lord on that day inside and out. Our family does dress up slightly for church (we are Assemblies if God in ND!), but one thing I love about it is that it is so welcoming that even the homeless feel welcome there. So every person is loved and valued, regardless of dress, just like in the Kingdom of God! And I appreciated your [Josh's] reminder to take a moment and prepare yourself for corporate worship. My husband is a pastor, so I do all the Sunday craziness with our three littles. Being away from church due to COVID was a great reminder of the value of corporate worship, even when it isn't restful or easy. Thanks for the video!

Hi, Megan: our church meets in a school. It is Alliance, casual, with a wide variety of clothes represented! No judgment, but I usually like to look a little put together. Love the trend of repurposing buildings, rather than building church buildings from scratch. “Church building” as the church is us, the people!
My husband & I always dress up a little more for church. To me it says I'm bringing my best self here to your house because you're worth the effort. I'm kind of old school I guess. I grew up in the 60's & 70's & that's the way it was. We do the same when we're going weddings or funerals. It's the way we were raised.

If you start doing that, where would you draw the line? What headlines would you include and which would you exclude? I wouldn't want to see you go down that road. The solution to EVERY problem is the Lord Jesus Christ, His work on the Cross, and His Gospel that He died for sins and rose from the dead to put away sin and death for all who believe. I come here to be encouraged, not "watch the news." Just my two cents...

I love being able to see the church, it looks wonderful, the brick looks really cool especially since it alternates in color. The Sunday school classroom idea was fantastic! My bf wears a button down shirt and nice pants, pretty much business casual that he wears to work. During the week I wear denim skirts and a casual top so for church I have some simple dresses or tops that would align with business casual, tiered peasant type skirts with no splits, and undershirt and usually a sweater of some type to go over the top or dress.
Your channel gives me a break from the heaviness that is surrounding us today. Thank you!

I think the brick wall in the worship space is gorgeous. If you painted the brick white it would give the room a sterile atmosphere, not warm as it is now. So, don't paint it!!!

Hi Megan! I’ve been a subscriber of yours since you started youtube and have loved all of your content. I am not a Mennonite, but I am a Christian. I’m also a black woman, so these times are a little touchy for me. I think a lot of “influencers” don’t want to be viewed as being political when speaking up about certain topics, but honestly when speaking and standing for the Kingdom of God, its not political at all. Its a matter of right vs. wrong and racism/hatred of any kind is evil and there is absolutely nothing wrong with stating that. That is truth, God’s truth! I don’t think that there is anything wrong with stating God’s truth in your videos. Stating that all people were created in the image of God is truth. Stating that God loves us all and Jesus died for all is truth. The people who are truly for you will be for you regardless. Just my two scents. ❤️

Megan Fox Unlocked I would say that a group of people treated differently because of something like race is morally wrong. A human rights issue. White folks wanting to keep black folks down is where systems of hierarchy and oppression come in, and that’s what makes it political. White folks like you and I get to choose whether or not to be involved. I guess noticing you have that option, is a step.
I think that people get caught up on the thought process that "God doesn't care what you wear." And I agree; come as you are! However, I think we forget that sometimes we need to do things for ourselves. It puts me in a better heart-place by dressing up a bit. It's my way of signaling myself that this is important and significant!
In fact, it reminds me a bit of tithing. God doesn't "need" our money, but he knows that WE need to have the soul experience of giving our money.

getting "dressed up'" for Church can mean different things though. I grew up Catholic in Italy, there people wear jeans, t-shirts and all that, but you'll never seen shorts, very short skirts, and uncovered shoulders. once I moved in the US I noticed everyone would dress up with fancy clothes, but I've also seen many tank tops, very short dresses, men with shirt on top but shorts on the bottom.. it doesn't make sense to me, but to each its own I guess
For "selfish" reasons I most especially look forward to yours and Lynette's videos each week so I DON'T have to hear anything 'news' just the ordinary day to day life that you both live. There's enough news and op eds and such for the reading THIS is MY happy place x

When I was younger I heard someone say "if we can spend hours getting ready for a party (or to go to the club) we even by a new dress why wouldn't we do the same to worship our Lord". I always think about this when I am getting ready for church. Great job on the renovations. Love your channel!

Beloved Lord, help our hearts to remember all those who are hurting and to know your love is touching each soul, even now. I see many comments saying how nice it is to take a break from the heaviness of the news and escape into the news free content of Megan’s videos. I ask people to consider that many people cannot take that break. They are living the content of those news stories every day. It is a privilege we have in our society that allows some of us to take that break. What would it have been like to be a very early Christian in Roman occupied territories? Would their danger and anxiety have weighed on them in big and small ways moment by moment?
Megan, whatever your heart and mind wish to say or not say about any topic, current or not, I will greatly enjoy watching you say it on your channel. That’s why I’m here, to hear your voice. Whether it’s an escape for me or not, I will learn something about you and about me and I will love that! I am happy with whatever you share.

I used to wear jeans to church but I’m seeing things different now. For the past 6-8 months or so I’ve been wearing dresses or skirts. I love going worshipping God and want to look my best and feel jeans are too casual for the way I feel. I don’t care what anyone else wears including my husband who usually wears jeans. I am just being convicted myself.

In my church most of the congregation (being an older congregation) dress up for church. That being said dressing up can be different to people. I my self was taught you wore your best to church. God has given us so much we should honor him with our best. It makes me realize how blessed I am for all that I have. All God given.

I go to a church where people generally dress up and dress modestly, our church building itself it’s very Baroque so it makes sense to dress up in a place that looks like a castle! I love hearing your thoughts and learning more about your church!

Me and my husband wear nice casual to our church. I wear a casual dress or nice slacks and tops; my husband wears nice slacks and button shirt; usually not a tie. Many others wear very casual; jeans, etc...even the women. As you said in your video; there are so few times we get to dress nice anymore and church is a time me and my husband like to do so. I was also raised to dress nice for church...we didn’t have a lot growing up and my mother would say to us; “you may not have a closet full of cloths but, you can look nice, neat and at you best in what you have.” She made sure we did.

Great video! At the church I grew up in and my current church (I moved), all the talking and visiting is done outside of the sanctuary doors. Once we come inside, we read our Bibles or pray or sit there quietly. There is soft music playing as we put our minds upon the Lord. Some people even get there 20-30 minutes early. It is like having an extra Quiet Time or Devotional time.
Just be yourself and continue as you are. You are unique and your vlogs are so lovely to watch.Never second guess yourself. People watch because they like you for you . Blessings to you and your family x

Your church looks fantastic and very good quality. When I used to go to church we always made the effort to dress up as it felt wrong not to! There are a lot of you tubers currently saying something that does not come across as genuine for the sake of saying something! Hi Megan, I love your channel the way it is. I know you don't do politics and that is part of why I love this channel. Current events and politics is in everyone's face so very much that it is refreshing to have a place to go without all that noise. However, this is your channel and if something is bothering you and you need some place to express your thoughts, by all means do so. As far as explaining how your beliefs are a part of the fabric of your life, I want to encourage you to do that as well. Your relationship with God is part of who you are and I love that about you!

For church I wear either business casual clothing or jeans and a pretty/business casual top. I agree with you, it’s not about what you wear but what’s in your heart. But your husband’s comment (we don’t have many event we get to dress up for) is so true too! Makes me pause to think it would be cool to dress up for church more often! 😊

We have a mixture in our church, some dressed up some more casual. We all wear long sleeves or 3 quarter length and the women all wear dresses or skirts. I always dress up our family but I feel like it gets me in the mind for worship, maybe that sounds crazy. Also I love the content you do, and I like you keeping it upbeat I feel like that it is a place I can turn to to get a break from the news and I can watch with small children around and not have to worry about what they will hear.
PLEASE make your wall calendars available!!! Earlier in the video I couldn’t stop thinking how cute your wall calendar was in your kitchen, and I think the calendar you use for your UA-cam channel production schedule would also work for me. I would definitely be interested in buying one!!!
Megan, I’m loving your channel and a few others, which I actually found to get away from the news and politics! Too many things we see are political...movies, TV programs of all kinds, so your day-to-day life with your family and friends are “a breath of fresh air” for me! I’m the mother of a fun-loving daughter and mother of two. She likes pretty clothes the way you do! She keeps her house so organized that she keeps me dusting when I find out she’s headed my way! Ha! She, you, and Lynnette are all inspirational for me...young moms who love God, adore their husbands and children and keep busy all the time! Don’t change any of your filming.
Your husband and you seem like a good balance. I love his positive spin on an anxiety thought of children and the extra time. What a mindful moment he suggested. I have got to church so late recently. He reminds me to be much more deliberate in that potentially quiet time before sermon.

I love that you go on as normal in your videos. When we pick up our phones, look at the news etc. the heaviness of what's going on around us is dumped on us. Your channel is somewhere we can go to find a since of normal. As a mom of 2 toddlers myself, sinking down in the depression of today's world is not fair for my kids or husband. We still have a great life to live. Your channel gives me inspiration to keep that going. Hugs
As an added item to my posted comment, in this day of worries, stress, fear and sadness, I’ve found I can not dwell on the news. Of course I want to know what’s going on. Our country needs so many prayers! So many of our brothers and sisters are hurting. That being said, once I have heard the news, it’s turned off. I can not dwell on what I can not change other than by prayer. You tube is my escape to watch people I feel close to and visit with them every time they post. Keep up the good work.
I am Catholic and at my specific church it is not required to dress up. Everyone seems to wear what is comfortable for them. Some Sundays I dress up a little nicer and on others I wear jeans a t-shirt. For a while I thought I had to dress up every Sunday but then I realized just being at Church and worshipping God is what’s important!
Inspiring video as usual 😀. At our church some come in suit and tie and others in shorts and flip flops. On average people "dress up" a little because as you say when else do we get to do that. Sadly we're still watching our church services online as only groups of 50 and less are allowed in places of worship at this time.
I appreciate that you recognize that there are a lot of heavy things going on in the world right now. I don't think it's problematic to keep posting your content and your life. Those videos still do have a place right now. I guess I've always looked up to you as a really lovely example of a modern Christian woman and perhaps personally felt that was your brand even if it's not explicitly how you identify your UA-cam brand. Some of the first videos I watched of yours discussed being a Mennonite and even things like birth control and I was so impressed. Given that, I sort of expected to hear some kind of reflection on the sanctity of all human life, particularly right now Black human life. I don't think that's political. Certainly the ways we go around trying to fix systemic issues in our country can feel more political and I don't think it's fair to ask you to comment on that, given the scope of your channel. Even if it's simply a short reflection or prayer, I'd love to hear those things from you.
I totally agree with Katherine. Expressing empathy for what Black people are going through lately would be lovely and consistent with your message of light here on your channel. But no need to change overall content- I love it! But yeah, I’ve never seen you shy away from tough issues and I think it’s ok to express how a Mennonite might experience these times from a nonviolent/pacifist, life honoring, non political perspective. What Josh said about quiet yourself & prepare for worship. Some of my family were Quakers when they came to America. So I was reading an old Quaker book about their worship. They did what Josh said; they called it to "center down" on God's presence. So they saved visiting with each other until after the worship service.
I have always recalled that when my spirit is troubled. We don't need to be "at church" to center down because God is with us always. It's a great way to reconnect with the Lord in a quiet moment.
I am no longer a church goer for a number of reasons but before this season of life I was Catholic and it’s super common for people to spend the time before Mass praying personally or just taking a quite moment to prepare and I love that practice
Our church in NC is a little bit casual a little bit formal. A lot of elderly men and women who have gone to the church their whole lives wear what I would call "Sunday" clothes, meaning a button up shirt and tie for men and a nice shirt and slacks or skirt for the older women. The some of the younger families wear jeans while there are many families like my husband and I that are right in the middle. I typically wear a nice dress and my husband wears khaki pants and a button up or a polo but doesn't wear a tie. Josh has such a good point about preparing your mind for worship! So often I rush in and don't take the time to prepare my heart and get in a good worship mindset. I have missed your vlogs! So good to learn from your family and children.
I belong to a Lutheran Church - I love dressing up for church I think it is a way to show that your worship service is important. I really like your channel, light content and so refreshing in this horrid mean time in our world. You make me think about faith, home is not just a house & family. Thank you for an amazing channel
Your channel is great just the way it is. I'm a Grammy with 4 grandkids. I really enjoy seeing how you're teaching your daughter to help in the kitchen along with other small tasks she can do. I've taught my kids ever since they were little (& that includes my son's too) how to cook & pick up their mess. I think it's one of the most important skills to teach them. We all have to eat & I would hate to think of my kids existing on fast food because they didn't know how to cook. Your kids are so cute!! I can't believe your daughters vocabulary, she talks so well & uses words most other kids her age don't know. You & your husband have a very beautiful family!!

I am not a Mennonite but I Love their culture and how they use technology but it's not always the newest greatest things. They just take it back to the basics and it's so amazing and heartwarming.

I'm in Australia 🇦🇺 and have my" church clothes", I am also a leader in our church, and a personal choice for me is skirts and dresses, not pants, especially if I'm on the platform. 🕊
In Victoria we can only have 20 people at a service which means for us we are still closed. We haven't had a service since March, but so blessed with technology we use for our services and can access other services around the world. 😊

The world does seem heavy right now, and it's somewhat out of our control. I take one day at a time and I'm thankful that my family and friends are healthy and safe. I've given myself a break from the news and politics because I found myself in tears and sinking into a funk. It doesn't mean that I don't care, it's just overwhelming at times. As for church, our church was built over 200 years ago and while it's not a cathedral I love it because when I walk in the door I'm at peace. When I was a child we dressed for church complete with hats and gloves, now we dress, but without the hats and the gloves and we wear more simple attire. Never change the way you do things Megan, you're genuine and that's what makes you, you.
Definitely always dressed up for church, the boys too. I don’t know .. it’s ok to come as you are too as long as your heart is in the right place, but I’ve always felt I want to bring my best before the Lord on that day inside and out.
Do as you are doing, be yourself!
It’s ok to be happy and as for the world these days, I pray leaving it with the Lord. I believe that’s best.

That church is amazing!
Our family does dress up slightly for church (we are Assemblies if God in ND!), but one thing I love about it is that it is so welcoming that even the homeless feel welcome there. So every person is loved and valued, regardless of dress, just like in the Kingdom of God! And I appreciated your [Josh's] reminder to take a moment and prepare yourself for corporate worship. My husband is a pastor, so I do all the Sunday craziness with our three littles. Being away from church due to COVID was a great reminder of the value of corporate worship, even when it isn't restful or easy. Thanks for the video!
Love what you do with your family, decorating and remodeling your home. Your expressions of faith, saving tips, cooking, organization. We do not need political views...people generally get nasty about stuff like that. Keep up the good work.

Hi, Megan: our church meets in a school. It is Alliance, casual, with a wide variety of clothes represented! No judgment, but I usually like to look a little put together. Love the trend of repurposing buildings, rather than building church buildings from scratch. “Church building” as the church is us, the people!
My husband & I always dress up a little more for church. To me it says I'm bringing my best self here to your house because you're worth the effort. I'm kind of old school I guess. I grew up in the 60's & 70's & that's the way it was. We do the same when we're going weddings or funerals. It's the way we were raised.

Hey, that church reno is so well done! It looks like you all are making great use of the space. Megan, I don't think you should feel that you have to speak to what's going on in the world. If you start doing that, where would you draw the line? What headlines would you include and which would you exclude? I wouldn't want to see you go down that road. The solution to EVERY problem is the Lord Jesus Christ, His work on the Cross, and His Gospel that He died for sins and rose from the dead to put away sin and death for all who believe. I come here to be encouraged, not "watch the news." Just my two cents...

I love being able to see the church, it looks wonderful, the brick looks really cool especially since it alternates in color. The Sunday school classroom idea was fantastic! My bf wears a button down shirt and nice pants, pretty much business casual that he wears to work. During the week I wear denim skirts and a casual top so for church I have some simple dresses or tops that would align with business casual, tiered peasant type skirts with no splits, and undershirt and usually a sweater of some type to go over the top or dress.
