Yes! Josh had lots of good nuggets in the video. Also, his openness to know a variety of people... and him talking about how fatherhood is important and hard, and he wants to be a good role model. It was nice to hear he takes it so seriously. We hear women talking about parenting all the time. Nice to hear his perspective.

I thought that too 😂 so relatable, my husband would have done the same.
This also made me laugh.. when he first started being in videos I though "why is she making him do this he doesn't want to be here!" But now I see it's just his personality and my husband is so similar. I'm the theatrical one and the one laughing and cracking jokes so I so relate!

I have seen youtubers punish their children on camera and I’m so so glad you don’t do annnnything like that. You don’t tell their personal stuff because you respect them and don’t use them for views.
Yes, I love the consideration she has for her kids. Like the time she considered putting in some ips about potty training Evonnie, but then decided not to, because she might be embarrassed about it later :)
When I get worn out and down over my crazy life with a 2 & 3 yr old (and another due in Jan) it always helps me to remind myself that I’m not just a maid and cook, I’m a wife and a mom... It’s the greatest privilege in the world to be loved and needed!
Congratulations! Motherhood is a full time job and ministry: clothe the naked, feed the hungry etc. :)

Josh's pet peeve of the dishwasher being loaded correctly cracked me up. I enjoyed the little bit of OCD coming out. I also so picky when I load the dishwasher. My family tease me all the time. Lol 😂
I love how accepting and loving you are towards difference in personal conviction and it’s included in your own family. I feel like I would’ve made different choices and been more open if my parents weren’t so authoritative and stuck on forcing their views on me, if anything it made me more confused and hesitant with my own journey. Yes, keeping the main thing the main thing -- the Gospel that Christ died for sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later in a flesh and bones body -- the Gospel by which we are saved and in which we stand. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). That's what really matters.

My husband and I have been more convicted lately to live a more conservative Christian lifestyle and you are a great example of someone doing it well and it’s how I found you a year ago! No one is perfect and I’m glad you show that and talk about it! Also thanks for mentioning the evangelism on UA-cam. I think sometimes people forget how amazing social media can be for reaching people all around the world and sharing Gods love and His message!

I totally agree with that statement about the missions. My family has given to missions for many years, and we have found throughout time that sometimes when you go through a huge organization to give, the mission part is only about 10%, the rest of the money goes to run the foundation. We support locally, but we also support overseas through mission straight to our friends who are ministers there in that area.

I live in a neighboring county and have many Mennonite neighbors so I love your channel and learning more about your lifestyle. I recognize many of the places you visit and speak about. I understand how it would be weird when people recognize you out in public including making you feel exposed. Just be especially (not expecially) safe and protective of yourself and your children when in large public spaces. You're kind of a Lancaster County celebrity!

You are not the only one who gets cheered up when you turn the camera on! My mood gets boosted when I watch your videos because you make me get EXCITED about the vocation of motherhood that I'm in! Totally agree with keeping meal times drama free! I’ve never understood making kids eat all their food either. Adults are picking the meal time and maybe they’re just not hungry or interested. Doubt adults would eat all their meal every time if someone dictated the time. I may not always be hungry even if I thought I was at a meal!
Yes! I won’t cook anything separate for my daughter but I won’t give her food i know she’s tried and doesn’t like! I can make myself and husband a certain side with our food but I’ll give her the part of dinner I know she’ll eat. She’s not very picky but on the odd days she doesn’t eat what I give her, I’d rather heat up something quick rather than force feed her. I also implement the try it once rule and It’s the way I am as well and it makes feeding 1000x easier

Agreed. I let my children munch on what I'm cooking or veggies and such while I'm cooking, but, when it comes to making an empty plate. 🤷♀️ that's just not a thing in our house. We DO require them to sit at the table as a family and we all chat. Annnnd for new foods, we require a "no thank you helping".

@@mikimisteinberg4016 mine is super basic. About 1/4 mug of strong brewed coffee, half a tsp of sugar, fill the rest up with milk and ice, and i add just a little bit of Nescafe Ice Java syrup. I do want to get maple syrup eventually to replace the sugar, but this works for me now.

I never had a dishwasher either! The only one I've ever used was at my friend's house when I was babysitting/helping with the house. I didn't know there was a right/wrong way. I just made sure stuff fit.

Very Good questionnaire! I laughed till I had tears from your pet peeves!! Too funny ! And yes as your kids get older you find early bed time is awsome! You can finally talk! But then you move to the next phase in life when you have teenager and their bedtime isnt until later. But at this point depending on what we're discussing we let them in on it. It makes for some fun discussing!! And I think they can learn by it. The topics that are not for them are done behind closed bedroom doors. Or we sit outside and chat. LOL. My brother-in-law says the same thing about the way my sister loads the dishwasher. I laughed and had to immediately share that with her. I'm glad to see that you and I are a lot alike in our way of approaching things. As you were saying about the head covering I really was impressed. As a Christian woman who grew up Mennonite and do not wear a head covering to hear you say that you don't judge those who don't was a good thing to hear. Here where I live if the Mennonite community (most of them anyway) knows you are and you don't cover your head it's a totally different story. Like you, I don't judge others by the way they live their lives, I feel that's between them and God.

Something to add on Josh's comment, Ask for help. That is so true. If something is overwhelming you, you may just not know the trick to solving that particular issue. It could be a simple answer. Do whatever necessary to find it. Read, pray, or ask for guidance from someone you trust. In my past I did it alone and it made my life so hard. It didn't need to be. I am not a Mother I was not given this blessing but I am 49 so this is just a tidbit of advice from my experiences
