@@VHTRacing I hear you! Btw, I remember something about you trying a fuel injector setup like in the F1 cars from yonder(Stand-off injection) ...did you get that up and running? or are you still using Port injection?
Yes tested and found the best injector location relative to the intake entry and that’s where the injectors are now. They are inside the plenum pointing straight to the runner.

Thanks, brakes are still old. They are not an issue on these short races so i will work them in the winter.

Still accelerating at 11k in 6th gear - even the streamlined Toyota Formula Atlantic cars couldn't do this. Impressive, very impressive. And the driver is excellent.
Thanks. For me the most impressive part is that on circuit with longer ratio the car is capable to accelerate easily to 225km/h and still be speed limited by 11krpm limiter at sixth gear. Wonder what the real top speed would have been as never had a chance to test. I thought the drag and rolling resistance would have been already too much at that ~230km/h, but not as it climbed straight there without any trouble. The engine works so naturally it’s amazing to drive. Must be as good as a 1600cc can get. We topped also last year the speed traps against other 1600cc cars in German hillclimbs so it is able to beat some very good engines. I have spoken with Formula Atlantic engine builders like Hasselgren and he said straight up as 1.6l 16v he was never able to get this far. This is beyond the ages old Atlantic stuff even people still say that is the ultimate pinnacle of 4age’s. But over and out, we have now some new plans and I hope someday we hear this engine somewhere else hopefully!
@@VHTRacingI just picked up my 4AGE from Hasselgren last month. Still using the mild cams that were specified for the sealed engines required for the one make sports racer sanctioning body for my Toyota (WSR) world sports racer. These single seat tube frame full fiberglass bodied cars raced for 6 seasons in the late 1990s early 2000s in a national series sanctioned my IMSA. Approximately 110 of these cars were built here in California, USA and many still see regular use I vintage racing events. 1986 Toyota MR2 running gear in spec tube frame, engine was near stock. Now using a MRP sourced billet crank and rods to increase reliability.

Brother runs a Starlet with Suzuki 1300 twin cam, turbo on alcohol also Quaife 6 spd n big rear wing. A nasty lil weapon.
