- Kenworthy Hall, also referred to as Carlisle Hall, was built in 1858. It is
located in Marion, Alabama. Richard Upjohn built it for a planter and cotton
factor named Edward Kenworthy Carlisle. Carlisle sought to build a house which would reflect his stature as a plantation owner.

It is certainly a stately looking brick mansion and looks like it has been well cared for over the years. I am sure it was very impressive back when it was built and made quite an impression to anyone who visited. Have a good week and thanks for the tour.
