Your videos answer questions to the hard to find answers and to the questions I don't know to ask. Thank you for sharing your in-depth knowledge. You are a blessing to a 77 year old "frustrated conguero".

Thank you very much and I hope that the rhythms bring you joy. Don't stay "frustrated" too long....

@@MichaeldeMiranda (Smiles) I've always wanted to be able to join a group of rumberos and have the knowledge to play the instruments correctly. Thank you for making it possible.

When you feel you have no rhythm...place your hand upon your heart. I do not read music or know what you are saying about times, beats or accents, however, when I hear a rhythm I feel it and can duplicate it. I am amazed at how you can conceptualize so many rhythms, their styles, histories, relationships and nuances. What would be the benefits of my learning to read music to latin percussion. I just know something sounds cool and is fun to play. Merci beaucoup Mike. DMB

Yes, I'm trying to make an app. Well, actually a friend is making it, because I'm just a musician and not an appmaker. First we will try to make ann app about Cuban rhythms and later a Brazilian one. I'll keep you informed!

Hopi bon!! I'm glad you showed the tres golpe the correct starting the chapeo on the &1, with a Base Base. Perfect!,

Oh gosh. I've just ralized I was playing the conga mufles (chapeo) the wrong way starting on beat 1. Which of course is a tricky thing to correct... so if the rhythm is writtten in 4/4 the 1st note (left palm) start on the "a" of the 4 (4e&a/1e&a.....)can you confirm that? thank you

All of your videos are great and very informative, thank you.
You mentioned you're making an app. Is it related to your conga tutorials here on youtube? Anything to make it easier to practice is always most welcome.
Thanks again and keep up the good work. I look forward to studying your vids in detail.

These are my rumba claves. An old friend of mine gave them to me and I am also very happy with the wooden sound of it.
