I love Martha Stewart. I learned to cook watching her videos back in the early 2000s when I moved to Canada. I never had to cook in my home country (Mexico) and now I'm a very good cook all thanks to Martha.

Looking so fresh and pretty in chartreuse here. It's proof that you can be a professional and knowledgeable television cook/teacher and also be stylish and fun as well. I always like when Ms. Stewart wears a vibrant color like this or coral or aqua. Just a personal choice but I would skip the step of dusting that glistening sugar over the pie before baking. Too gritty. Biting into tender crust is much better; the alternative often feels like beach sand in my mouth. 😄

Okay.....when I make my apple pie this way (mile high)I end up with cooked apples and about three inches of space between the filling and the crust after it has baked.How do I prevent this?
Better than the recipe I followed, it was A small pie and it was one cup Sugar too sweet, also you have to cook the apple and add corn starch, didn't came out good, the apple was too soft
Why u not mentioned that from where you get that ceremin powder for your "Apple Pie"? If you mentioned that from where you get those apples,from hilly orchards of Europe.🙄
Cinnamon, flour and sugar should be combined before going on apples, Granny Smith apples are not good apples for pie! One cup of sugar isn’t going to make a sweet pie with such tart apples. Piling apples high will make an empty space between crust and filling. Martha doesn’t know what she’s doing!

Apples have gotten sooooo expensive. I am planting apple trees this spring.
