Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! UA-cam's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at the 1998 Toyota Supra Turbo.
During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

+siemenssx1 I didn't have the money to keep this in my garage and buy the daily I wanted(a higher mileage Supra or GC Impreza, I ended up with the Impreza). In hindsight, I should have just kept it and bought a beater. At least I got to own it!

I love this car, probably one of the best motors ever made. Can withstand so much abuse with stock internals its legendary. Too many ppl have riced them out tho.

Well they've been riced so much for exactly that reason, when you don't have to worry about building the engine and can focus solely on turbo upgrades it's cheap power.
Like I'm not even kidding you could drop as little as 15k into one of these and you would have a car that would beat the new corvette stingray z06 in a strait line.

Every time I see a Supra like this I can't help but think of how much Toyota has gone down hill since then. This is such an amazing overall vehicle. Nice review Kyle.

***** Wrong. The Skyline has a very boxy shape to it that has aged. The supra is very round and cuvry and flat.. alot of cars carry the supras design today.

Saabkyle04, you're one of the very few to have actually researched the relationship between the MKIV Supra and the JZZ30/31 Soarer - everyone assumes the inverse of what you said to be true, leading to TONS of misinformation floating around, so it's nice to hear someone do something other than talk out of their rear about these cars.

My father bought this car when they first came out in 93 when I was just a kid and I loved it but he eventually sold it and bought a 98 cobra. Who would've known how sought after these cars would have been back then especially stock. Worst decision ever lol.
I still love the car. I own a 2004 V6 new edge right now but the Supra is more nostalgic to me and imo looks way better but the 98 was rad! I want an 03 terminator myself.

Great Job! This is one of the cars I think allot of people have been wanting for a while, including myself.
I always love a good tuned Supra with a nice body kit and some modifications, but if I had the money to buy this one, I'd have to keep it stock. Although tint and rims would be something to consider.

The Supra is an amazing car. I own a 86.5, it's my first car, and she lives right next to my dad's 94 Supra TT. Both cars are absolutely amazing, and anyone who can afford to get one definitely should, she may be from the 90's, but she turns more heads then modern day vettes. :) Amazing car, hands down one of the most amazing I've ever been in.

I really enjoy your videos. Very in depth and unbiased. I was wondering about the two dead buttons next to traction control until you thankfully explained them. I'm the kind of person who would buy the Japanese spoiler buttons and install them just to get rid of the dead buttons, even though they wouldn't work. It would simply look more complete.
I opted to buy a 300ZX TT back in the day since these were much more expensive. Still one of my favorites though!

I have done this all myself over years of polishing and working hard. I don't work for anyone, everything you see is done out of pure passion. It doesn't even feel like work, every day is truly a blessing to be able to do what I love.

I just don't get it. Why would Toyota stop making this? Especially when plenty of people would still buy it.
It's not only toyota that is the problem, it is also with other companies that had Supra competitors, they discontinued these great and unforgotten sports cars, because first of all, due to fuckin emission standards which is one of these reasons it is hard to import a Nissan Skyline due to legality and emissions, and second, they had poor sales, and third, they had to make room for the SUV and Minivan market as well as expanding fuel-efficient cars like hybrids and electric vehicles which I don't even give a shit about even if it helps the environment better, but no worries, a lot of cars of coming back, remember when Nissan discontinued the 300ZX, they bought it back in 2003 as the 350Z and is doing well as the 370Z currently although I prefer the 300ZX and they bought back the Skyline as simply the GT-R and import it to the U.S., Honda is bringing back the Acura NSX although I wished they didn't discontinue the S2000 and Prelude, the RX-8 was the Mazda RX-7 replacement, but it was too slow and had terrible gas mileage and no one can even take care of a Rotary engine so they discontinued it and they will get a replacement, the Lexus LF-A was a failure so Toyota discontinued it and they have plans for a new Supra or a Supra replacement, someday, all the great Japanese Sports Cars from 90's will come back and compete with the more expensive European cars which I'm sure will have the same performance, I know I still want a Supra and a Skyline R34 as my dream cars.

It was bad timing with the economy, and these cars were going for over $50,000 fully loaded. Google Toyota Supra MKIV window sticker, you will see some over $50,000.

I literally just had a customer come in to my tire shop with a bone stock 4th gen like this one in green and it was beautiful. Higher on the mileage but beautiful!

I like stock Supras... and I like Modified Supras with 1000+ hp..... Why the hate? If I had one, I'd probably leave it stock..... PROBABLY, however seeing a modified supra beat a Lambo is very entertaining, I give props to the owners Hardwork.

You can't import the 1989-2001 Skyline to the U.S. because they aren't 25 years old yet. Stupid law in my opinion. He'd have to travel out of the country to do so.
