    No need to use oyster sauce in authentic Vietnamese dish .Furthermore, fry julienne ginger at the sametime with garlic / shallot will bring the dish more flavorful

    I'm not a big fan of stir frying fish sauce in my stir fry, are there any substitutions I can use instead of fish sauce?

    • @RunAwayRice
      @RunAwayRice  5 років тому +1

      Yes, use soy sauce, tamari or even coconut aminos. Enjoy!

    Trang the Ginger chicken was a complete fail on my part I don't understand what happened? I let it marinated over night and still did not have that incredible taste I was expecting ,🍜🍲maybe you can help me figure out what went wrong 🔪🍽 your presentation is always outstanding with the Incredibly gifted voice of yours bottom line I just don't know what happen to my tasteless chicken?? on my part ?? 🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪🍗by the way love the name RunawayRice®™

      Hi Vu, sorry to hear this didn't turn-out as well as you expected. A few suggestions: cut the chicken into smaller pieces and this will allow more of the marinade and flavor to permeate the chicken. Allowing the chicken to marinate overnight as you did is a good step. Cooking the chicken with the marinade on Low Heat (after searing) also helps to infuse flavor so don't let the liquid evaporate too quickly. Rotate the chicken pieces often during this time to coat with the sauce. I hope that helps and you'll give it another try! Good Luck!
