Just like in Medicine or Law, this is another language. As it's really great, may I suggest you to write the specifications and the exact name and measurements, please? I went to Home Depot, but there are a large variety and sizes. and those gentlemen, couldn't help. Did know what a faucet connector was. Yes! Incredible!
How about the Splendid compact dry/wash hookup? They are much smaller & they dry your clothes directly after washing. I am not going to use a regular size full machine in any apt. Your tutorial was excellent!!
I couldn't find any of these things in my home depot in oregon. if you just tell the clerk that you want to move your clothes washer next to your sink and connect it to the sink he will understand as long as you know which adapt-a-valve you need and make sure he understands it is not a dish washer. the adapt-a-valve is also called add-a-tee. there is a 3/8" and 1/4" size, mine was 3/8" not 1/4" as recommended by David Esterling below. the kit he gave me was a dishwasher universal kit which as multiple fittings including the 3/4" needed to connect to the clothes washer. he also gave me a 3/8" needle valve as the on/off valve. he said use teflon tape to stop leaks.
look under your sink at the supply lines, there might be a sticker that says the size of the line, mine said 3/8" compr, yours might be a different size
Actually when I lived in an apartment I used an old dishwasher hose to connect to my washer since i would just connect to the faucet with an adapter and the hose would connect directly to the washer with out any adapter. Then just place the drain hose in the tube or sink and your good once installed it was just a snap to connect the washer to the faucet and you can use cold, hot or warm water just by adjusting the faucet to what ever temperature water you want.
Why go through all that when you could just put the hose with a snap Cupler right under the faucet? Most portable washing machines come with it and it works just fine. Nicely explained video though.
I read that you need a permit in Ny to install a washing machine in your apartment and if it causes damage, you owe your neighbors alot of money. Is that true?
Toilet, sink, shower. Whichever you want to use. Be careful if you produce a ton of lint. You will clog your drain eventually. Getting a nylon mesh for the drain hose will help with that tremendously.
I got a stackable washer/dryer(110, so they both plug into the wall and the dryer doesn't need to be vented outside), put it on a small wood platform w/ wheels and got an adaptor for the faucet(hook the drain on the sink) and can wheel it right up to the sink and do the wash. I roll it into the closet when not in use. Didn't have to mess with any of this.
@@spongedebfatpants1308you may just need to buy a longer faucet tip. They usually are removable. I remember needing one for a dishwasher that was removable. Check it out, it might save you time and money.
Were there any issues with having that set up on a platform or did it work out pretty well? Could see a lot of vibration and noise from that but I'm interested in how your experience went
Very clever!! Now we were wondering about the electrical hook ups for the washer and dryer..well, because ours is a 220 volt for both is there a way to converted?
Late reply i know but the ones that are the washer/dryer combos that you buy at Home Depot etc are 110v usually. It sounds more like you have a traditional two unit item.
Great Video even this many years later, as i find myself in this situation. I live in an apartment that is actually in a warehouse. I have been looking for portable washing machines, but noticed that the regular washing machine uses same volts as portable, so i can instead buy the regular washing machine. Which is great for blankets and bigger items. I saw this video and have a huge bathroom to accommodate the washing machine. Was wondering if you have a dryer solution? i see that there are ventless dryers and portable closet type dryers or if you just hang dry.
Here's a tip. Go back and edit once done to show a quick look of the finished product at the start of the video. It can be just a few seconds so we know what we're getting at the end.

If it’s not too late… this is just to get you on the right path, you should sill research valve and hose sizes according to your particular situation. Hope I helped.

@@gabrielaayala8550 Sorry for the late response. you can change the Hose Bibb to 1\2". I faced the same issue but forgot to change the link. Everything should fit now. The water intake threads are 1/2" to connect to the supply line and the water out threads are 3/4" to connect with the Quick Connects or directly to the Hose.

You do not have the website anymore as referenced in your video “laundry in apartment.com”
It states domain for sale
Welp o was going to do it much differently but you way is so much easier and better thank you for your hard work.
amazing... your so smart. never would have come up with this idea. thank you! blessings
cool video. thank you so much. I have some trouble to find the 4 pieces, but otherwise it is a big time help.
Great video, thank you @LaundryFreak, but is your website working correctly? I couldn't find the list of parts and Amazon links.
I tried clicking on the link to your website and the website urls is bad. Can you please provide a list of the items needed and the sizes? Thank you.
Any suggestions on how to set this up in an apartment that has issues with low water pressure? Thank you!
Dude you are a fucking hero!!!
Totally agree with him
Is there a way to have the washer water drain out using your sink drains??? Do you have a video in that? I’d love to know...thanks 👍
Rick Osman thats what I got
Why go through all that when you could just put the hose with a snap Cupler right under the faucet? Most portable washing machines come with it and it works just fine. Nicely explained video though.
obviously not a portable machine my friend :)
I read that you need a permit in Ny to install a washing machine in your apartment and if it causes damage, you owe your neighbors alot of money. Is that true?
Great tutorial! Just one question - what do you do with the drainage hose? Where do you send the dirty water?
Toilet, sink, shower. Whichever you want to use. Be careful if you produce a ton of lint. You will clog your drain eventually. Getting a nylon mesh for the drain hose will help with that tremendously.
Actually worked for me... No leaks or anything. Did it to my bathroom sink and it has cabinets
Where did you find the parts? I went to the website and nothing came up for me
what kind of washer/dryer machine are you using?
This is exactly what I have been looking for. Thanks.
where do I get the kit?
I got a stackable washer/dryer(110, so they both plug into the wall and the dryer doesn't need to be vented outside), put it on a small wood platform w/ wheels and got an adaptor for the faucet(hook the drain on the sink) and can wheel it right up to the sink and do the wash. I roll it into the closet when not in use. Didn't have to mess with any of this.
Can you send me the link to washer/dryer you got?
What kind of stackable is this that doesn’t need venting
Some kitchen sinks (which is what I have to use) don't have a way to hook it up to the faucet. So for me, this video is very helpful.
Wtf this is amazing. You are the Heisenberg of washing machines.
Amazing video. You just saved my life. Thank yo !
Thank you! I am sending you a five-star Thumb up!
This helped me a lot I’m hoping it’ll be as easy as you make it look!
Here's a tip. Go back and edit once done to show a quick look of the finished product at the start of the video. It can be just a few seconds so we know what we're getting at the end.
God bless you i dont need it right now but GOD BLESS YOU
LaundryFreaK, Can I use this method under my kitchen sink and permanently leave it in place?
Yes I have the same question!
This is awesome i will be buying the parts soon for sure
Hands down ,you are amazing!!! Thank you!!!
Wow I am so excited to try this
Plus help me locate the list of items, I so need this 🙏🏼
Fantastic Video! I LOVE IT! But I am very Sad that I cannot locate the parts. Every time I go to the website to search for the parts, it takes me to a strange unsecure website. It appears that the website is no longer owned by the LaundryFreak guy that posted this video. Does anyone know where I can purchase these exact parts? Thank you.
Update: I now have all the parts and I am about to hook it up in my bathroom. I hope the laundry guy in the video is ok? Laundry guy.....where are you? You did an excellent job in the video!! Thank you again!!😀
Can you demonstrate how to hook up washer dryer combo machine in the bathroom?
Hello,
I would like to know if I can run this in my kitchen sink only instead of tub.....?? Also I have a external line that used to be hooked up to a dishwasher....it looks like the faucet on the side of your house outside.
Thanks this video is great! Can you still use the cold water in the sink while the washing machine is in use? I plan on doing this in my kitchen.
you are so generous thank you
This is an excellent video! Where do you put the drain hose?
bath tub i'm guessing
WHAT ARE THE PARTS YOU NEED = NO MORE WEBSITE
Definitely buying this
Add on to previous question it’s similar to the plug on a stove
where do I get the kit?
really cool video and explanation! Thank you!
