I Have the previous edtion of the metroboard stealth (1 motor) for about a year.It's very reliable and very comftable to ride (32 km per hour). The best thing I ever bought - highly recommend it.Does crazy hills, battery lasts for 20 km and more and they have a good customer service 👍
The default brake setting on the Metroboard Dual Drive is single motor braking, which is a lot more gentle and forgiving. if you want much more aggressive braking, change to dual motor braking and you will stop on a dime, but the risk of getting knocked off is much higher, so be really careful!
Rhonda there are 4 braking skill levels on the Metroboard Dual Drive. Some levels are more gentle than the Evolve GT. Some are equally or maybe even more strong than the GT.
Back in '86, I had a motoboard - gas weedwacker motor on a worm drive truck. Centrifugal clutch no brakes. Drag foot for brakes. Used to do 35 mph all day long. Used to beat all the mopeds in town, shorts and sleeveless with pumas were my only protection.

Metroboard, like Enertion, was birthed from the DIY scene. That is the main reason this and the Raptor has such high specs and build quality. Many budget board are build for exactly that...a budget. But most of those companies don't even have skaters in their office. @ 2:21 he compares the Acton S2 to it. It' s a totally different class. Like comparing a Toyota Camry to a BMW M5.

Holy shit, I didn't even know this was an option. As a cripple I'm pretty limited for transport, a motorbike in London plus whatever walking comes along. I really wish I knew about this earlier. Most of my journeys seem perfect for this board and it could legitimately fit in my bag when I need to take the bike. The only other choice I've been suggested is an electric wheelchair which is both slow and insanely bulky. I can't explain how happy I am to have seen electric skateboards with decent speed and great distance is a legitimate option.
This one is not really portable tho. It's actually pretty heavy 🤔 You will ned something else with swappable batteries and not too heavy. I will release my own brand soon. I will release everything in the next two weeks 🙏🏼
I've been riding on the dual too, crazy acceleration! Very stable and reliable. for sure metroboard customer service is the best in the market. This thing is the perfect commuter out there.
And for the brakes, u should be able to set how strong the brakes engage. I have the old stealth version that goes 20mph and 20 miles range for sale since I got the Lou 3.0 coming soon. Must have PayPal though
My "Back-Draft" I feel like I need to adjust my Trucks so I can hit the Top speed, not sure if it was a one time issue with the "Category-5" but If you do get one I'd try it out in a big empty parking lot to see if you get any issues with the remote not staying connected

Yea, it was a toss up between the dual or the single motor. I like the long range, but the power of the dual sold me. I asked Ilan from Metroboard if I could disconnect the front belt to get more range if I wanted to. He said I could, but I would have to make sure to set the brakes to the rear motor, so yea win win situation! Now I need to find a good helmet.

I feel like the brakes are intentionally not overpowering so that you dont fly off the board if you crunch down on it. That's how I got into an accident on my backfire a couple weeks ago haha

papo, Metro over Evolve. Yes. The Evolve is very sexy and a great looking board. The MB doesn't have near the quality issues or the remote issues. It's built to last and take a beating. As it should be.
I built a board similar to this. Motors are rated at 3550w each but I could only pull 5000w combined going uphill at 37mph. I also have that same mini remote it's a good one. Based on the gearing of this board and top speed those motors will never get close to pulling 6000w combined. It's just what they are rated for. 25mph is for kids though.
ha! I did 25mph on a standard deck on a British back road while holding the back of a moped with no helmet and maybe only a Oxfam leather biker jacket or sommats like that for protection. Ped rider took me over the top of a drain civer, not being able to Olly at normal speeds even, this was a 'bit' of an issue...cleared it but then he accelerated too hard and dragged me off the front...ha! good times!
