- In this episode of SWT we will explore the "what if" scenario of Darth Maul never having become a Sith, but rather found by Master Yoda and trained under his tutelage, bringing down the ever lingering Sith Lords and the evil that nests in the Galaxy.

Vader at full potential could probably summon lightning powerful enough to destroy entire planets. Emperor vader would unlikely need a Death Star or a huge military he would be able to rule the galaxy using the force kind of like what palpatine. Eventually planned in dark empire

If that's the case then he would create the CIS as his empire and start a war against the republic. He would propably create a new sith order like Darth Krayt. From this point things would be like they were during the great galactic war when the sith empire tried to destroy the republic.

Personally, I don't think Anakin would have turned to the dark side if Qui-Gon were his master. Qui-Gon was already a Jedi master. Obi-Wan became a Jedi master too quickly. He wouldn't have become a master so soon if Qui-Gon hadn't died in Ep 1. Qui-Gon had much more experience and probably would have done much better with training Anakin than Obi-Wan did.
Agreed qui gon is the only jedi who had a shot at preventing Anakins fall. I think he would have made anakin come clean to the council about Padme being pregnant but he would do so knowing qui gon would have his back since unlike Obi wan he wasn’t afraid to call the council out

George lucas stated that even if Qui-Gon were there to train anakin, he will still turn to the dark side but later in the timeline.

+Scorch, I think that may just be in legends. If i'm not mistaken, in canon the death of Qui Gonn pushed him to turn to the dark side sooner is all. And that's how he then met Sidious after having left the order for more power, and having been to disappointed with the jedi.

So under Yoda's training, he would turn into a jedi similar to Mace Windu. Sounds about right.
Remember maul lost much of his natural ability when he was cut in half so probably a 100% organic maul trained by yoda would be equal to mace

He would have been one of the best and most respected masters for his intelligence, wisdom, leadership skills and dueling abilities. Jedi maul would have probably worked with mace to create vapaad

Then the republic would go crazy looking for Palpatine. Mandalore would become the new home for the CIS as with Palpatine dead and just as in Cannon, Maul temporarily took Dooku as an Apprentice, but would be forced to choose between him and Savage. Dooku might win, but Maul might intervene.
Maul and his Apprentice would continue the war, leading a new massive army larger than before of The Galaxies greatest crime families, the Galaxies most ruthless Bounty Hunters, The Galaxies most wanted against the Grand Army of the Republic.
With Mandalore in his control, and the largest army in the Galaxy, more and more clones would be created, and Kamino, with no ties to Sidious would never execute order 66. Clones would be pumped out by the millions, as the senate would most likely be taken over by the Jedi as Yoda had intended to do temporarily in episode 3. Kamino would be forced to comply, creating massive amounts of clones, and creating a war larger than any ever seen.

Drunk with Power, Maul would crown himself The New Emperor with his Apprentice at his side, as he tapped into the dark side deeper and deeper, learning new skills and abilities, and becoming more powerful than ever before. Mauls army would lead a vicious war against the republic, pushing them back across the outer rim all the way into the inner rim core worlds, and right into the heart of corruscant. The battle there would be massive in size and scope, with the Republic conscripting and Cloning simultaneously. With Maul Drunken on power he would stay away from his battles commanding them through a meditation sphere like Marka Ragnos.
With his Apprentice and possibly other Sith Assassins leading the attack, along with bounty hunters, and the galaxies most notorious villains the New Dark Empire would most likely take to ground, creating within weeks time mass war all across the planet. I do believe that they would even win, and take the planet for themselves.
With this the Jedi and remaining troops as civilians not arrested or killed would retreat, heading to Tython, or another core world like Corellia or Alderaan. Maybe somewhere more remote than that. Idk but they would leave and try and prepare not for a war, but a final stand.
With the Republic being reformed into the resistance and the CIS being reformed into the Shadow Empire of the Sith, the war would become similar to the Galactic Civil war, and as Maul grew in strengths so too did the strength of a younger Jedi, Anakin Skywalker, who several years after the events of the end of the Clone wars with the sacking of Coruscant, has become the youngest master; who has two children, and was openly married.
Now with Maul finishing construction on the Death Star (by using the plans he found that Sidious left behind) the Resistance knowing that the end was near. They began to prepare for a final stand. (The reason I think it would only take 3-6 years for Maul to make is because he...
Would enlist the help of slaves and droids who would make the station faster than workers and Imperial Employees ever would.
I think it would be interesting picturing Maul in Jedi robes. Like here you have this menacing red and horned being and find out he's a good guy. Like Maul even looks evil.
well if maul would have joined the jedi, his tattoos would not be there as he had gotten them to commemorate his attunement to the darkside. Maul would look like a normal zabrak instead and his name probably would not have been maul as that was a part of his sith lord moniker as well. So i wonder...
but I thought the Zabrak on Dathomir already had tattoos like Savage Oppress
Luke Roughan I think that is the case for new canon. But in TOR the zabrak are without ink. So maybe it was a nightsister thing.

I believe he still would have the ink, but i'm not 100% sure since it's Night Sister tatoos, and they're all about the dark side.
I really enjoy this video because Maul is one of my favorite characters in Star Wars and especially more so because it shows how his immense skill would be if used for good. Amazing video, completely captivating!

Precisely. It was his death that lead to his masters fall. Dooku had originally left the order because he believed the republic was corrupt at its core(spoiler, it was), and when he felt qui gons death through the force, he gave in to his anger

dooku was already going over to the dark side because he left the order due to the treatment of his home world by the Senate before episode 1 and wished for the power the dark side has
Qui-gon's demise was the final straw for Dooku, but as others have said, there were several other things that were at eating at Dooku about the Republic and the Jedi's role in it. He didn't have much farther to go when Qui-gon died, and even if he had not died, Sidious could have done something to give Dooku that final push as was mentioned in the video.

I would like to hear a what-if where the Clones were never a thing. Would that mean that Jango would still become a bounty hunter? Boba would never exist, but what of the war? Would the Jedi lose?
The Republic might start Conscripting creating Republic Trooper regiment similar to the Old Republic Videogame where they are Government Conscripts and Smugglers. Anyone who lends a hand is another soldier to fight in the war.

The Republic Navy v The Conferderacy of Indipendent Systems.
It would be more vicious war with the Republic being more like the rebels in size and scope.
I wouldnt be surprised at all if Jango started gravitating back towards his Mandalorian roots and ended up as Mandalore. Especially if he realized that there was a great war on the horizon; gather the clans and lead them towards an unforgettable glory.
My only guess as to what Sidious would do to prompt the senate to conscript an army against the CIS, would be if he took a play out of the history books and had a faction skirmishing on the outer rim worlds and progressively growing stronger as they slowly made their way towards the core worlds. Pretty much like Vitiate did the Mandalorian war

Order 66 would be DarthVader without the robot stuff. Jedi are stronger the more organic they are, for force reasons, so a even more powerful DarthVader would probably kill most the jedi himself.

Dooku was already disillusioned to the Jedi. Qui Gon's death was just the last straw.

And yes awards ceremonies, while are not technically bribed, they are paid for. It's an entire secondary industry for films. It's not a conspiracy, it's the job of lots of people in the industry to throw a ton of money into getting awards.

Sidious might not have that bargaining chip anymore, but Dooku still would have left the Order regardless of Qui-Gon's fate. He was already on that path; his old apprentice's death merely sped things up.

First things first: Love your work. I found your channel by accident and like just spent about 6 or 7 hours watching all those amazing theory and fanfiction videos. Your 'what if's are awesome and your narration is better than that of many a written fanfiction I have tried.

Fred Horwood That depends on which canon you're talking about. Legends has it as Sidious's doing, TCW shows that it's either a species-specific or tribal thing.

I think it would have been a fair contest between Dooku and Maul as Dooku was the best Jedi duelist, even being able to hold is ground with Yoda and Windu. He would still probably win because plot, but even then, if Maul was the one to fight Sideous, even with Jedi training, he would still probably lose just as fast as he did in the actual Clone Wars TV show. Well maybe not that fast, but he would still probably win.
No idea where you got the whole "he can see the future" thing from though, nowhere I have seen is it mentioned that he is that in tune with the force that he could do stuff like that, just that he was an expert swordfighter.

Mr. Person - actually, canon novelization has said that Maul was extremely in tune with the force, but the dark side and his hatred made him ignore it, so he could focus more on his physical abilities which his dark side preferred. Also canon is his "love" of meditation. If he was a light side user his force powers would be enhanced immensely and if Mace and Yoda could see into the future, granted not very far, im sure Maul could as well.
Most canon sources put Maul down as extremely well gifted in the force, and remember he was never trained as a Sith, he was only ever trained as an assassin, almost like the inquisitors, and yet he managed to go toe to toe with Qui Gon and Obi Wan and managed to even kill Qui Gon (a Jedi master), all this was done despite having very little actual training in anything other than swordplay.
A fully trained Maul would be extremely strong, and you also have to remember Sidious (in canon) believed in the rule of 2 and would have only took Maul on if he felt like he could surpass him.
Maul would destroy dooku in this scenario. Remeber dookus form ll is weak against physically powerful foes such as anakin and. Maul. I agree with you that no way maul beats palpatine. It is debatable if mace even beat him or just threw the fight to play anakin

Dooku didnt give fully into the darkside until Qui Gon died, but he explained that sidious would speed up the process with his manipulation, but Dooku still was studying and attuning himself with the Dark side well before he left the order
