I too love the granulating colours and the art Jean creates with them❤️ I bought the wee set of Daniel Smith Mineral Marvels dot cards a while back and have had a heap of fun playing with them - swatching and mixing them up just like what Jean is doing in this video😃 These paints really are food for the soul💞. Amazingly enough, the 'very bold' Diopside Genuine in this set is beautifully toned down when left overnight to slowly creep its way down the side of a swatch of the gorgeous Hematite Burnt Scarlet Genuine😍 My wish list at Jackson's in London has never been so long! I ordered a few tubes from this set a few weeks ago and finally got word today that my parcel has arrived in NZ - yay! I can't thank you enough for sharing your art and process so generously, Jean. You've certainly opened my eyes - I had never seen watercolour being used in such a wonderful, unique and bold style! 💞💞
WOW, the last three swatches are such exciting colors/mixes. I just love them. My mind was racing thinking of beautiful landscape possibilities. I've recently been trying to think outside the box to come up with ways to create amazing rocks/formations. You may have just solved my problem. Thank you for another great video!
The granulating paints from DS are so great but very expensive in the Netherlands. Thanks for sharing your knowledge this way I can see which are worth to try.
Very interesting. TFS....I bought some Daniel Smith watercolor paints a few years ago and the granulation colors I thought it was old paint. I almost got rid of them, I will take another look and try them out again. Thanks so much :)
wow, how beautiful! Thanks for sharing those color studies, they are very helpful, interesting and inspiring! I guess, I cannot have enough paints ;-) I appreciate that you share your colour studies and experiences here with us, thank you, Jean ♥
Thank you so much for sharing these! Love them! I was wondering if you've tried some of the new Schminke colors that have come out (The Deep Sea, Glacier, Tundra and Forest series)? There's some really interesting ones that might be fun. And with my Green Apatite Genuine I also get the browns and greens separating sometimes with it (on both hot press and cold press), but I think it's so pretty when it does that, not ugly at all in my opinion, it is a great color. Looking forward to more vids!
I have one of Schminke super granulating colors, Tundra Violet, it's fabulous. You can buy single tubes or sets of small tubes from Jackson's and perhaps other vendors.
@@UraniaOfTheGalaxy Yes! I got mine from Jacksons also, and the tundra violet is so nice, you can get such a range of values just with that one paint. I really like the earthy tones myself, the forest set and also the tundra green.

Very exciting
Thank you for a great demo with the DS granulating paints. They are wonderful.
Very interesting tutorial. I imagine it could be a line of people in veiling clothes. 🤗
I love this! So far I have been able to purchase two granulating colours. Schminckes Potters Pink is my absolute favourite so far

Beautiful colors! ♥
Thank you very much.
Great video Thank you Jean :)
Love Lunar Blue…but Lunar Violet on this video looks very similar to Moonglow. Would be interesting to see them side by side

I find the schmincke paints so expensive so I have not been tempted yet.

@@JeanLurssen I bought dot cards and small pans from Etsy to try the new Schmincke sets.
