Hi Jimmy, Me and my brother were hanging around in the pits that day due to winning a competition with XenteK. I'm sure you were confused as to who we were and why we were there, but thank you to you and Annie for being so accommodating and friendly to us even though you were clearly under a lot of stress. We didnt say bye after race three as we thought you wouldn't have wanted to be bothered by strangers (especially two strange twins) after that last result. But you made our week and for me, you genuinely turned a rough week into a good one. Legends, both of you. Congratulations on the little one too, you'll be cracking parents.
The fact you feel the way you do about punting those guys shows you’ll be alright Jimmy 👌🏻 We’ve all been there (or maybe you and I are both massive bandits)!
Jimmy, I appreciate how candid you are about your mistakes in these races. You already know that a few of those moves were not of the highest quality, but I believe this is a fluke. Pick your head up, and I'll be expecting a clean race next time you are in a real car.
@@samuelgarrod8327 Yeahhh two at fault incidents is pretty bad. Jimmy was put in a pretty bad spot with that ballast though. I understand that the camera is heavy, but it really isn't fair to have guest drivers look worse than they are because of it. Ballast should be on all cars, imo
Jimmy having his IRL SimRacingStewards moment, showing us all that DRIVING ON A TRACK IS INTENSE and we all make mistakes!!!! (I've done it on Motorcycles.)
Just saw the anouncment of suellio that he will be driving at the german prototyp cup. Jimmy, Steve and Suellio in a team that would be so cool! Simracer youtuber team.
i think its easy to sit back as a viewer and critique and tear u down for some dirty moves. but its amazing seeing you own up to it and post walk through it no matter how hard it mustve been. And hopefully you have another chance to race again and and pull aggressive moves, safely! much love
I just wanted to thank you so much for letting me sit in the car when meeting you for being so friendly and open for loads of conversations over the weekend and for signing all of my stuff
You just pushed too hard mate, you know that - shit happens and it wasn't malicious - we move on and do better next time. Love love love your honesty, you remain a total legend.
Really appreciate the transparency Jimmer. It would have been super easy to just not post this video and beat yourself up about it, but honestly I think you made the right choice in posting it and talking about your mistakes. It's only a bad thing if you didn't learn anything from it, here's to the next race!
I hope you went up and spoke with both of those drivers. Especially the pro. Irs humbling to eat that plate of shhh, but also they can help teach tou something in the moment.
And this is how you know Jimmer is not a arsehole. He actually recognizes when he mucks up and owns up to it. Can't improve without recognizing where to improve either.
I just wanna take a sec to give props to the editor for that transition from The Undertaker to Jimmy at the beginning... shit's funny as fuck and really well done! Also FUCKING POG!
I recently did my first couple online races in automobilista 2 in the Ginneta GT5. And OMG is it my favorite right now. Such close racing and the handling is so satisfying. Easy car to learn trailbraking in
Glad you're enjoying the car! There's a GT5 series in Sweden, you can watch the races on the Ginetta Sweden or GinettaTV channels! They even have a drone following the cars, it's wild
I was there on the Sunday watching Jimmy. You looked like you belonged. Your determination in the morning race was very impressive. The incident in the afternoon race happens to all good drivers learning. As long as you learn from it you'll be fine. Keep your head up. More opportunities will come your way I'm sure.
I'm simracing for 4 years now, but when I started taking it more seriously for a few months now, I realised trying to proof to people that I'm a fast driver is one thing, but to actually make them wanna race with you, you have to proof to them that you are a safe driver. It can be frustrating sometimes, but taking it as a learning opportunity is what makes a good driver. Keep going Jimmer!
We all have bad days - you're not alone man, the self-doubt is HUGE! The time spent reflecting on what you could have done better, and on the things that went well is a big part of dusting yourself off and going again - you have earned these opportunities, and you deserve to take them.
It's nice to see all the not so great moments as well. This is where the real growth and experience happens and this is there the most important lessons are learned.
Always great videos, appreciate your humour and self-examination. Loved that you found the boost button and left it on for a looooong time :) The GoPro's didn't seem to mind :)
7:45 You went inside, got the car alongside his, and he drove round that corner acting like you werent there. 15:40 This "racing incident" is him locking up on the inside (see the tire smoke from your cabin POV) and understeering into your outside line while you moved inwards (can see in few frames at 15:42 your car coming in to the middle of the track when you started on the outside). 26:30 Car in front gave you the space to get your nose in the inside line, at that point you are (not exactly but still) side by side and he drove across your front end. Its crazy that they give you the space prior to the corner then panic and crash out when youre alongside heading in. none of your inside lines forced them off the road. Your outside overtake in race 2 was the part you shouldnt have predicted they would turn in. This is my analysis with 0 racing knowledge. To me it looked like a bunch of "pros" were trying to gatekeep you from getting past despite being the faster driver. People can say you were too aggressive but you didnt lose control of your car on those overtakes and you never forced others to lose control of theirs. Someone please tell me otherwise
Don't beat yourself up too much its your first time driving a ginetta you did amazing. Just look how far you came SIM racing in a shed in your parents garden to take part in really racing with Prag and bilstein. No matter what happens we all love you very much. Well done Jimmy

On the third race, there were other cars making some, at least, minor dives into corners. I kind of thought that you were thinking you'd be able to do the same. Obviously didn't work and was a big dive. Always love to see you racing

Yeah, instant speedboost was amazing to see.
