So glad you got to see the bike path in central park! You entered in a nasty part haha, the roads are the most cracked there and the uphill is not fun, idk if you went farther but if you continued like just a mile ahead there's this beautiful flat stretch of straight path that then leads into this rly fun downhill into the northern tip of the park. The entire loop is rly fun! I also loved seeing you skate along the footpaths, I'm too anxious and not quick enough with my braking to go in such congested paths, but that's rly where the fun stuff in the park is. Loving the NYC content and can't wait to see if you've got any more clips and vids left from ur time here!
Ayeee thank you so much! unfortunately that day I skated from Dumbo Brooklyn so I didn’t go any further in the park haha next time I have to check out more of it. And don’t worry I still have about 12 more videos from my New York trip so you will have plenty to watch!
When I was a kid, my dad use to take me to central park to rollerblade during the 90's when that whole rollerblading craze started. I remember slapping these cool stickers on my skates. Now that I'm in my late 30s, my knees and ankles wouldn't be able to take it anymore. My ass is sticking to e-bikes/e-scooters now lol
I almost teared watching this. (Well, I actually did). I found it because I am obsessed a bit with CP of late. I get suggestions of this beautiful, amazing park often. I also like to go on google maps and drop in to tour around. Your video really got me. I was a pretty proficient inline skater. Not near as great as you, but I got around nicely :) Unfortunately, my legs gave up on me and I could not do anymore. I lived near one of the great lakes. I use to love to soar on the paths and trails with the great lake breeze. Very often having to weave in and around people as you do. I just now lived vicariously through you. It's been 20 years since I had mine on last. Now I get to park in handicapped spots. Yippy huh. Keep on keeping on man. Skate till you can't no more. I am looking forward to watching more of your awesome videos. Wish I could attempt to keep up with you there. I can't describe the feeling of true freedom I felt when skating. It was amazing. Sometimes I was flying. whew. Thanks 🛼
Of course you didn't go to skaters circle or skaters row were on the weekend they set up a dj that plays music and its the most popular place in central park or the great lawn where everyone parks themselves and have a picnic or read a book or go to the clamshell for a concert!
I like the skate and talk without any background music. How long was your visit? Did you bring other frames? I think 4x90 or 3x100 might be better for urban skating.
Outstanding brother! That's down town for you. Lots of assholes. Come to Washington Heights and check the parks and the people. It's a different world.
Roller skating is any wheels connected to a boot or shoe. Quad skates are the traditional style of roller skating you are talking about and in this video I’m riding inline skates. I ride both styles.
@@Skating_Squid I mean yeah you're technically correct but culturally, we've all come to know "roller skating" as being synonymous with quad skates. I don't want to split hairs or anything, but I also see your perspective and yeah you're right
For us who are not in the US thanks for the tour.... Am amazed at how confident you are going through those not skatable plc. Thanks a bunch
We’re not unhappy. And if you need help, we got you. Sometimes people just want to be in their thoughts. Leave them be and enjoy your skate.
Waw... I almost missed this.. very relaxing video.. as always.. that man on a bike at 12:08 like an edit. So unreal..

Did you end up buying orange stuff for these "new" FRs? Sorry I just happened to see your new skate video and didn't even know you ever swapped lmao
I’m still actually using my old skates but once I need to I’ll just take the orange parts off and put them on the new ones 🦑
@@Skating_Squid those things are tanks 😂 but good it wouldn't be the same without the orange lol

Maybe bigger wheels suits a bigger place with different quality surfaces.
Is it beginner friendly?
I would say it’s pretty beginner friendly!
