    Tbh you can use any type of head wrap. I use my silk scarf or a bandana and it always works. The main key is to keep it on until your hair is dry always always!

    I’m a white girl, I have very textured frizzy hair. I have avoided working out bc I can not over wash my hair it will break! I might look stupid but I’m gonna try this head wrap.

      Maybe put the bottom in a tight ponytail and then smooth out the top with another ponytail holder I've seen that when they do sleek ponytail styles but it'll keep the tension in the middle of your head so once it dries it won't be as curly

    A Durag will do the job just as well. Also when you get done working out wash your face first. Then take a shower with the durag on with a shower cap on top of it. Works every time 👌

      Your hair grows out from your scalp, your scalp and face have large numbers of sweat glands. So no the hair itself does not sweat, but the skin it's attached to does and the hair does absorb the sweat.
      Meaning no matter what you do, you will get sweat in your hair and it will make it dirty, smelly and weight it down.
      Which the only way to get rid of this is to wash your hair. I have 3b hair, and frequent washing is terrible for it. So to keep my hair healthy I only do high impact exercises that cause sweating on wash days.

      Natural hair blow out last 1-2 weeks sometime a bit more. 2 or 3 days worth of sweat is not gonna make your hair smell too bad and of it does smell just use a little essential oil till you get to the wash day.

      Sweat is mainly water so it doesn’t stink unless it combines with bacteria as long as your hair is really clean and fresh the sweat will just evaporate off you and you can keep your hair done for a few extra days

      stress sweat smells and so does sweat from bacteria heavy areas on the body such as pits and genitalia. A lot of people use a shower cap so she’s still washes away the bacteria on her body, while not stripping her hair of healthy/natural oils.

      True, but which woman of color is going to shampoo everyday?! Definitely not me. Use a good dry shampoo to refresh in between shampoos, which help absorb odor and excess oil.

    Using a hefty amount of dry shampoo BEFORE working out also helps a ton! I can get like 5 days out of my hair and I work out/sweat daily (my hair is wavy/straight).

    I can ever get my hair to stay straight so I just leave it curly. Unless I go get my hair done then I ask the stylist to straighten it 😂. It only stays straight for two days after though.

      @@rileybell2893 no, that's not true. The scalp has sweat glands and those glands excrete sweat thru the hair follicles on the scalp and private parts. I sweat at a resting heart rate and when I'm in the sun or working out, it goes in overdrive and my scalp sweats too. My hair gets wet at the roots all around. If your own scalp doesn't sweat, just say so.

    My secret.. tight pin curls and a similar head band scarf…can’t remember where I got it from. But pin curls MUST be tight from the root. The hair doesn’t have room to shrivel up and even if it does it’s minimal. Leaving wrapped until dry is a MUST. Hair will dry in whatever state it’s in.

      Nothing wrong with natural curly hair but if you get it straightened any type of moisture with cause it to start curling back up. This method is to prevent that.

      @@pinklipgloss5134 Curly/Coily is not frizzy. Straight hair is not a European trait. Most groups of people have predominantly straight hair. A lot of Hispanic people will have curlier hair because they have Black in them but most have straight hair. If it’s not an internalized hate towards her natural hair texture then there isn’t really anything wrong with her straightening it. It’s also easier to style. Curly/Coily hair and any natural hair style has had so much hate thrown at it. It’s already difficult for Black women to wear our hair natural and to not be looked down upon. There are places that have had rules that we had to straighten our hair so she might see it as an easy way out instead of enduring the disrespect. For a Black women to go through this comment section shaming another Black women for straightening her hair and saying such ignorant things shows that you need to educate yourself. She never said anything negative about either hair type so what’s the problem?

    Stop fighting. She’s a black creator, obviously her target audience will be black people. If other races can benefit from her tips, awesome, but that’s not her target audience. Besides, she said “people with textured hair”. White people: if you like her content, keep watching. If it makes you feel excluded, go find a creator that is more suitable for you and makes you feel welcomed. There is absolutely no need to be bashing this girl. Black peoples: let these folks talk by themselves. This is common sense, so at this point they’re literally making an effort to problematize things, take it out of context and use against you.       For people with afro hair, it is recommended to wash our hair every 1 to 2 weeks. Our hair soaks up a lot of moisture and can easily become dry, so over washing can be very damaging.

    I have these head wraps and it doesn’t work for flat ironed natural hair. Getting it wet = reverting/frizzy period. This may however work for relaxed hair and other loose textures. She’s right we shouldn’t have to choose between our hair and the gym.

    No offense, but why does looking good mean having straight hair? Go on and work out, rinse your hair, and wear it
    curly or wavy. That way you can be fit, shampoo won't dry you out, and you can still feel clean. #Curlyisbeautifultoo

    I'm Pakistani/greek but I have chemically straightened hair. I have had a lot of issues lately with my mids and ends getting sweaty as hell because I no longer do high ponytails to try to avoid traction alopecia and other breakage. But if my hair is in a low pony it touches my back and gets soaked. I don't know what to doooo

    This works for me but I do a top knot. And you have to let your hair dry fully to keep your edge laid. Also, I don’t expect sleekness and I wear a similar bouncy style as you. Thanks for sharing

      @@galaxybunny414 WOC have constantly been put out of hair products. We’ve barely had any products made for our hair until recently. And the headband is made for specific type of style primarily WOC use. Plus she said textured hair after because it’s very broad. Okay say there was a special food for people on a diet for medical reasons or weight loss. Both are for weight loss but if there’s a specific demographic under that that it helps wouldn’t that be first?
