Great project! I’ve used foam clay to make props and to make it smooth, you can dip your fingers into water while sculpting to smooth the surface. Then, once it dries, lightly sand it to refine the surface. It helps so the sanding step goes quicker 😊

I put them on a double layer of 1cm elastic from the sewing store.
