Love this answer to the question. Extremely clear and I'm gonna run with it. Thank you
Differences in the old testament and new testament.
God commanded in the old testament to observe tithing (Malachi 3:10), circumcision (Genesis 17:10), sabbath day (Exodus 20:8-11), stoning to death (John 8:1-11).
Why some ministries do not teach the practice of circumcision, sabbath day, and stoning to death but teach to practice tithing. Why are they very choosy on what to teach.
In the new testament:
>Jesus never sent anyone to death.
>Jesus heals on the sabbath
>Jesus never commanded his disciples to collect the tithes and offerings.
>Giving is to the poor (Luke 19:8-9, Mark 10:21, Matthew 26:8-9, Acts 10:4).
Wrong on many levels... For starters "give and it will be given unto you" has nothing to do with money. The preceding verses specifically cite judgement and forgiveness. Those are spiritual matters, not monetary matters. And there's no such thing as a biblical tithe on earned wages.
I don't think God works in this way. He doesn't give blessings based on how we tithe.
Thank you. I needed answers to this question
Thanks for watching ..God Bless
Best explanation I've heard of net vs gross. Thank you
Thanks so much for watching
We pray you have a great week. 🙏
I use to think this way, but I am changing my understanding with the full truth and asking God what to do. "Give Ceasars due what is his". I have always given from gross. This could contradict by giving from gross. The Lord wants a cheerful giver, not one who is distress.
That fact that you referenced Dave Ramsey made me enjoy your message even more! 😅
Thanks so much for watching
We appreciate your comment here
God Bless
Dave Ramsey didn't say Christians on average give only 2.7 percent, he said that only 2.7 percent of Christians are tithing to begin with.

I thought he said 2.7 percent of youtubers quote him accurately.
? Luke 6:38 and Matthew 7:2 are similar and both from 'DO not judge'? Not sure referring to Tithes?
Jesus never tithed.
He was a carpenter
No homeboy.....gross or not, whatever, whatever "the faithful" shell out ........goes to you, somebody like you, or the Mormons.
Now this is morally gray
Let's imagine you earn $100,000 as your Gross/W2 Income. Let's assume you live under a government regime and taxes 90% of your income, your net income would only be $10,000. If you give 10% of your "Gross income/before taxes" to the Church, your income would be zero, leaving you with nothing to live on. Taxes should not be equated with everyday expenses like a house, car, or the internet. In reality, you are not actually earning $100,000 as it's not a true reflection of what you earn.
In this case, your earnings are $10,000 to live on; it doesn't matter what on-paper your salary says or looks like.
Where do I give my tithe if I do not belong to a local church?
Any pastor who prays for you..
Give to organizations that evangelizes to the Jewish people. God blesses those who bless Israel (Ex. Gen. 12:3). Jonathan Cahn, Mark Biltz, Perry Stone., etc. address this very issue.
