    TITHING LAWS
kaya may karapatan Siyang gumawa at magtatag ng pangalawa (new testament)
    matthew 5:17-18
    hebrews 8:10-13
    matthew 19:16-24
    luke 9:23
    luke 14:33
    mark 12:41-44

I got saved and delivered back in 87 at Lakewood church. Pastor John Osteen used to say that if God really touches your heart He'll also touch your wallet. I've been a Tither since 87. I can stand on God's promise of open windows oc heaven for my life. He has taken me further than I could have ever dreamed, exceedingly, abundantly above all I could ever ask or think. Tithing separates the men from the boys

Giving to those in need like the poor and to the church for maintenance costs is tithing and giving to GOD. The widow in the Bible gave to the Church not to men. The richest pastors in the US are billionaires and ride in airplanes, have mansions while their members have no decent homes. Do you know to be rich is form yoir own religion? Better build homes for the poor and give directly to charities. That is giving to God and spreading His kingdom of love.

Some of the comments doesn't like tithing but wants God to bless them 😢 This is why some small rural churches doesn't flourish because tithing was not taught, scared of being judge by the church. Tithing is your commitment to God and He knows your heart. Some of you doesn't want to give especially if you're earning big, so basically, the tithe will be big as well and that's where God looks, on how faithful we are. These teaches us to trust him, obey and humble ourselves cause like what He said, Everything is His. These are for us, because He has a promise attached to this. In fact, in Malakias 3:10, it is the only verse wherein God allowed us to challenged Him. Who am I to refused if He did it again for my own sake😭.

I am a testimony to this, I started tithing when I was in College where I put aside my 5 pesos out of my 50 pesos baon everyday, 5X5=25. and I'll wait for the last week of the month and tithe 100 pesos. But I have offerings every Sunday naman. Until I got work after College and God has been faithful to me as I had been faithful to Him. God changes our lifestyle little by little because not of my doings but because He is Good. If you really encounter God, sometimes you will no longer think of the benefits you gonna have to do things, but because you just want to cause He deserves everything from the smallest of my being to my very best of everything I could offer. And this is my prayer for everyone, to encounter Him and have a chance to live life with Him. Best feelings ever.

    Yes, "EVERYTHING belongs to God."
That's why Jesus preached to the rich young man in Luke 18:22, "You still lack one thing. Sell EVERYTHING you have and give to the poor , and you will have treasure in Heaven. Then come, follow Me."
This is the principle we MUST FOLLOW. Jesus is worthy of radical and sacrificial devotion. (see Luke 9:57-62). We do have to give up EVERYTHING to follow Jesus. We do have to love Him in a way that makes our closest relationship in this world look like hate.
Let us not rationalize these passages away.
Without knowing it, we are redefining Christianity according to our preferences- to take Jesus of the Bible and begin twisting Him into the version of Jesus that we are more comfortable with.
*The apostle Paul collected money to give to Saints in need.
Today, the church organization, collected money to equip their building with modern tech equipment.
    *"But what does it matter?
The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice.
    (Phi. 1:18)
*Same with Paul, I rejoice also and I thank God, people are saved. That is the important thing.

God owns everything, yes, but He doesn't need our money, and even less our tithes. Our neighbours do need it. Tithe was for the Law, BORN AGAIN Christians give FREELY. Paul never taught Tithe but Free gift'. Born again Believer don't limit their giving through any Law. We give FREELY, the amount we want, even more than the only t'en per cent.
Don't teach the Law to Christians.
If we have to pay tithe before GOD blesses us, so we are cancelling the Grace of God.

All things include being blessed. My God shall supply all of your needs including being blessed. Gal.5:4 You're doing the works of the law. Concerning giving, or tithing, or prosperity, Malachi 3:8-12 is, indeed, not the full counsel of God. It is an excerpt, quoted to the church for centuries (believe it or not), which is a misrepresentation of God's counsel. We've accepted it because that's what we have always been taught. Here are a few points to consider.
-- Who did God appoint to receive tithes? God said, "And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth [the tithe] in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation" (Numbers 18:21-23). In this scripture, God established who receives the tithe (the Levites), and why they received it (they received no inheritance, and they served in the temple). This assignment is exclusive to Levites. A pastor cannot assume this assignment, he has never been scripturally assigned by God to collect tithes, he is not a Levite. In that same sense, only a Levite, never a pastor, could ever serve in a Jewish temple. The church has not replaced the Jewish temple, and pastors have not replaced Levites.
-- People are blessed when they give, not because of Malachi 3, which is based on the Law of Moses, an Old Testament law that has been replaced by Grace under Christ, at the cross. They are blessed because Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). It is this principle of giving and receiving at work, when we give and are blessed. Not the expired law of tithing, which was required of the Jews (never Gentiles), and could only be received by Levite priests because they received no inheritance and were set apart to work fully in the Jewish temple.
-- There is much more to this, such as Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob's promise to tithe, the history of when and why the New Testament church tithes (there is actually a date!), and the scriptures that speak to these issues. To be clear, every pastor has a right to collect offerings in support of the ministry; I fully agree with supporting the church financially. But our giving must be godly. It is wrong to require people to tithe, contrary to the scriptures, then say that we live according to the scriptures.
    Four biblical truths, regarding tithing:
    (1) There is no scripture that authorizes anyone but a Levite to receive tithes.
    (2) There is no scripture that authorizes a pastor to receive tithes.
    (3) There is no scripture that requires a Gentile to tithe.
    (4) There is no scripture that requires the church to tithe.

Part 1: Introduction - Setting the Record Straight
Many Christians today believe they are required to give tithes to their church, but what if I told you that this is based on a misunderstanding of scripture? The practice of tithing in the Old Testament was specifically meant for the Levites, not for pastors or priests in today’s churches. Let’s clear up this misunderstanding once and for all.
Part 2: What is the Biblical Tithe?
The concept of tithing comes from the Torah, where God commands that a tenth of the harvest or livestock is to be given to the Levites, who served in the Temple. The Levites were unique-they had no inheritance of land like the other tribes of Israel. Their entire livelihood depended on the offerings given by the people of Israel as a way to support their priestly duties (Numbers 18:21-24).
Part 3: The Role of the Levites
The Levites were chosen to serve in the Temple and handle the sacred tasks that came with it. Their role was exclusive, and the tithes were meant to support them in this service. The Torah is very clear about this division of roles: only Levites could perform these duties. Tithes were their inheritance, not a general obligation for anyone outside of this tribe (Deuteronomy 18:1-2).
Part 4: What About Today’s Church?
Here’s where the modern church gets it wrong: many churches claim the authority to demand tithes from their members. But let’s be honest-most pastors today are not Levites, and there is no Temple! So why is the church claiming something that was never meant for them? Tithes were specifically for the Levites as outlined in the Torah, and no one else has the right to claim them.
Part 5: Selective Use of the Old Testament
Many churches say that we are "free from the law" and don’t have to follow the Old Testament commandments anymore. Yet, they conveniently hold onto the idea of tithing! Isn’t this a contradiction? They pick and choose which laws to follow, claiming freedom from some while enforcing others to benefit themselves. This selective use of scripture undermines the integrity of their argument.
Part 6: The True Inheritance of the Levites
In the Torah, God makes it clear that the tithe is the inheritance of the Levites, not the church. The church today is falsely claiming ownership of something that belongs to another group, deceiving people into giving under false pretenses. The Bible actually warns against taking what rightfully belongs to the Levites (Numbers 18:7). Those who attempt to minister in their place face severe consequences.
Part 7: The Consequences of False Teaching
The Torah outlines a severe penalty for those who presume to take on the role of the Levites. Numbers 18:7 says that anyone who encroaches on the Levites' duties shall be put to death. While this might sound harsh, it shows how seriously God took the division of roles. Today’s churches, by claiming the tithe, are stepping into a role that was never meant for them-and that’s something we can’t ignore.
Part 8: No One Owes the Church Anything
The bottom line is this: no one owes the church anything. The practice of tithing, as understood from the Torah, was specific to a time, place, and group of people-the Levites in ancient Israel. The church today is not entitled to tithes, and it’s time we stop falling for the deception that says we do.
Part 9: A Call to Accountability
It’s time for the church to be honest with its members. Misusing scripture to financially benefit an institution is not only dishonest, but it’s also against God’s word. We must hold church leaders accountable for misrepresenting the Bible and claiming authority over something that is not theirs.
    Part 10: Conclusion - Understanding God’s Word
In conclusion, let’s return to the truth of scripture. Tithes were an inheritance for the Levites, and modern churches have no claim to them. It’s time for us to study the Bible deeply, hold church leaders accountable, and stop supporting practices based on deception. Let’s move forward in understanding and truth.

Tithing made man to focus on something, and forgot to love others just Like pharisee...today poor people walk free in Christ and give cheerfully just like the widow because they do not need to compare themselves like pharasee who never fail and carefully focus on give 10%

As far as God is concerned, there is no more law and no more judgment on the justified person. He or she is FREE. There is no more self consciousness. His or her life is Christ. The tithe ended when the Law was Fulfilled.
The Orthodox Pharisees crucified Messiah Jesus During the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Mark 14:12
Jesus "ate" the Passover Meal and then was arrested, tortured and crucified. It was the Pharisees who broke the Law and now we are no longer bound by the Ritual Ceremonies of sacrifices, tithe, Feasts or Sabbaths. The Son of Man is Lord, even of The Sabbath. He desires Mercy not sacrifice.
The temple is destroyed and the Levites are scattered. We are supposed to be a temple for The Holy Spirit. You must be born again.
