One time I gave $20 and I know it’s not a lot but it was the most I ever gave. Usually my mom would give me and my sister $1 to put into church. Well, the next day chase bank awarded me $200! I didn’t even qualify for the advance but GOD works in mysterious ways. ❤
Tithing to me is to remind me that everything comes from God, our provider. When i first started to tithe 10% of my gross salary and i have other financial commitments at the same time, i thought if this what God wants from me, I will just do it. I experienced many blessings including monies deposited into my bank account by an unknown person when my account was dried up and the recent one is, i get to keep my current job when i thought i would be made redundant due to the pandemic. Though tithing is stated in the old testament, whoever wants to follow it, just make sure we do it willingly. Amen.
If you need a better income CBN has utube videos about 'financial freedom'. In these videos people share about when they started tithing to CBN they started experiencing financial miracles of wealth. Now they tithe to CBN from a prosperous wealthy income. Just a suggestion just try devoting your tithes to CBN. God bless! 🤗

I have never tithed because it is not a requirement for today. I have been blessed by G-d with scholarships, jobs, a career and many financial blessings and stories to those blessings. Simply because G-d blesses you, does not mean it’s due to your tithing. You can not buy G-d’s blessing as though it was a lottery ticket. All blessings of the Lord are free just like the rain, the sun and the air we breath. Stop thinking you can buy G-d’s favor.

I have learned to give a tithe even if I remain with no money at all. To my surprise, I don't get in debt and God provides all my needs hallelujah!!!!!
That is prosperity gospel and the sooner you realize it wasn't your tithing but God's will to bless you the better.

I once was in a hard place where I either gave to the church or paid my employees. So I took a leap of faith and gave. Well, I was able to cover payroll and Jesus has blessed me so abundantly. I know give more than what my salary used to be for a whole YEAR when I had a job! There are secrets to wealth and it will always include giving.

We tend to lean towards magical thinking. How does giving your hard earned money to a religious organization going cause you to be blessed. People are exploited because they think that they will be rewarded for giving away their money. You’re giving your money to other humans .

I made a similar video to this a while ago but you did a much better job at explaining this. I can’t begin to explain how much blessings have come with tithing. It’s hard every time i give it away but Every day I’m reaping the harvest. The money comes back in bigger amounts in ways i can’t take credit for. All i want to say is I’m also a living testimony of tithing and i agree with all the points you mentioned. I take this video as a reminder to continue and a push to do more.

Tithing is an Old Testament law. Christians are not under the Old Testament law. So Christians are not required to tithe, just like they are not required to sacrifice a lamb for Passover. Christians are under the new covenant, that is Grace. Under the new covenant of Grace Christians are told to give as each one as decided in their heart to give not grudgingly or under compulsion. Once you set a fixed percentage, like 10% you are no longer giving freely. So give, but don't worry about the percentage.

The New Testament does not replace the Old Testament, it fulfills it. It is in the Old Testament that we see God kick-starting His redemption plan for humanity right after the fall of man. Ten commandments are still valid, tithing is still valid. New testament does not nullified old. Grace is not a license to do wrong, but a liberty to walk in obedience.
The Ten Commandments are old testament too, still applies. When I started tithing, God gave me abundantly more than I could think or ask.
I started tithing faithfully in 2011. One morning I heard speak to me audibly and He specifically said to me "You need to give your tithe and offering." From that moment on I began giving my tithe and offering faithfully.

I tithe, not out of obligation but it is my own personal form of worship. I enjoy giving God 10% of my all (cheerful giver). Started out with little to nothing, but I've watched God moved me to places in my life financially where no one in my family line has been. I give regular offerings as well. This lines up with what the Bible calls "bountiful giving". If we give sparingly we shall reap sparingly, but if we give bountifully we shall reap the same.
Oh God! This is me. I had no idea what God has been doing in my life till you mentioned it. I have received in abunndance both financially and spiritually. God has greatly changed me. I am a better person by far. Though I've only been tithing one source of my income, this is a sign for me to tithe all sources. God is good! Thank you sis.

The law was given to the Jews and not the gentiles and the Jews couldn’t keep it but somehow we think we can even after Jesus said we are free from the law. Tithe works like a manager and an actor. If you are an actor you need an agent to get you those job opportunities. So that agent makes sure that you are getting the jobs and makes sure you have income and from that income, you give him 10%. That's also why agents now days charge 10%. It's biblical. So tithing is giving thanks for what you have received, and trusting God he will always provide for you, and sowing is planting seeds for what you want and believing it will come and putting in the work for it to come weather its praying for it, envisioning it and physical working towards it. Then your harvest will come. And you sow again for next season. It's awesome!

Well I just had to respond to your comment as you mentioned something that may be a bit dangerous in your statement there. You said tithing is been obedient to God, but my question is where did God instruct the new testament church to tithing. To me when you speak obedience it implies God has instructed that and we should have biblical proof of that. I'm not trying to say there is anything wrong using 10% as a measure of giving by the way and I'm not against giving at all.
All I'm trying to get you is to be responsible with your wording as there is a huge section of believers who have been misled on tithing and it has become a Law when it's not at all.

I also believe when you partner with a ministry to help spread the word of God then will also be a part of the blessing that comes.from that. I’m not gonna lie, I needed this. The last few weeks I had been being stubborn with my mom about something that took place and the scripture “Honor your mother and father” kept popping up in my head. I already don’t have a close relationship with my dad but desire to. I’ve recently been blessed with something I’ve been praying for but it took a toll on my bank account. Now I’m been guided to give and I’m up for the challenge!!

By donating items, money or using your skills in a place - you’re sowing resources. I used to tithe but I got broke and I had no savings but once I stopped tithing I have savings and happier. I give to charity including church and my family also anyone who needs help. I have taught and teaching my kids not to tithe because it’s not biblical. Tithing in the bible was meant for the priests. However I teach my kids to be generous Just not tithing to the church No.

I am currently meditating on Malachi 3:10 (again), and I must admit, I am really having a difficult time reflecting on it. Like you, I have so many questions before, hesitant, mostly, that if I were to give my 10% straight to church, will they really be putting it to good use? I remember a friend of mine told me, if you know where your tithes are going, you are in control and not trusting God about it. Tithing is an act of faith. Definitely. Though you don't see it, you are certain. Thank you for this. I am blessed. Haha. And oh yeah, I was formerly a very pessimistic person. When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, my whole life change. It really became new. :) God bless you.
Just to share some discoveries regarding Malachi... When it comes to tithing perhaps no scripture is more referenced than Malachi 3:8-12 which states: 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse-your whole nation-because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. 12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land,” says the Lord Almighty.
At face value, this passage would seem to imply that God is playing the role of either a mob boss or a slot machine - or both if one translates this passage in terms of monetary value. Who but a ruthless dictator would curse another for not carrying out this alleged indictment to regularly pay a percentage of your income - or else! Does this idea really pass the “love test”? Isn’t choice a primary component of love? And if tithing is compulsory as stated under Mosaic law, how can it really be considered a choice or any sort of act of faith? Another possible translation of this passage would suggest this is not the case. Some of the reasons why could be as follows:
1. In the first few verses of the book of Malachi the “children of Israel” are addressed in a generic sense. However, since the Levitical Priests were technically also “children of Israel” it’s possible that the passage could have been directed to them exclusively. In Malachi 1:6 the indictments are clearly and specifically directed towards the Priests. From that point forward there is no clear change in the direction of focus for whom those indictments are made. The “Priests” are again specifically addressed in Malachi 2:1. As such, it would seem that the indictment to “bring the whole tithe into the storehouse” was actually directed towards the priests. We see no clear change in focus from the Priests for the indictment of “robbing God” so it is reasonable to assume that the indictment could very well have been directed toward the Priests, rather than the entire nation of Israel.
2. There are reasons to believe that the Levitical Priesthood were the only ones actually allowed in the temple storehouse. Non-Jews were permitted the 'ezrat ha-nashim (the forecourt of the Temple); most Jews were permitted in the 'azarah (inner courtyard); only the priests and Levites were permitted in the heychal (inner court or sanctum); and only the High Priest could enter the kodesh kodashim (Holy of Holies). If only a select people were allowed in the storehouse, then Malachi 3:10 cannot be universally applied. It was the Levites, not all of Israel, who were to “bring up the tenth of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers of the storehouse” (Nehemiah 10:38). Therefore, it would seem that Malachi 3:10 was not directed at any others besides the Priests at the time which would further weaken the argument that tithing is to be universally applied today.
3. Since the biblical tithe had nothing to do with paying money from monetary earnings there is no biblical reason to think that if anyone gives money to the church they will be monetarily blessed in return or otherwise cursed.
4. It’s possible that what was happening at the time was that the Priests weren’t bringing the proper quantity and/or quality of tithe items (produce and livestock) to the temple as directed, perhaps keeping the best elements of their portion of the tithe for themselves. God could be indicting the Priests, through the prophet Malachi, to properly execute their part of the system, which included bringing proper sacrifices (quality livestock) and food (produce) for the other temple Priests and temple workers. Only the Priests were allowed to conduct sacrifices.
5. The “floodgates of heaven” has nothing to do with monetary blessing. We first find this same term used by God back in Genesis 7:11 where the windows of heaven were open and rain contributed to the flood, as the fountains of the deep were broken open. In Genesis 8:2 it says the windows of heaven were stopped and the rain from heaven was restrained. Isaiah 24:18 also mentions the windows from on high; this phrase is consistently used for rain water. In Genesis it was a judgment. In Malachi 3 it was to be a blessing - rain on their crops. The nation lived in large part by their agriculture (Husbandry) and depended upon the rain. God's blessing had to do with the provision of water; no rain and they couldn’t produce adequate crops or sustain livestock. Perhaps this passage is emphasizing that if the Priests mishandled their tithes, which was part of the blessing in the Mosaic covenant, a curse would be put on them. The ground would not yield food because God would not allow it to rain which of course would be a detriment to all of Israel.
6. There is no specific indictment for the entire nation of Israel to tithe as only the products of farmers and herdsmen were accepted as tithes. There is no mention of merchants, tradesmen, carpenters etc… ever bartering their crafts or services as a form of tithing or giving a tenth of their earned monetary wages. Therefore, it is unreasonable to conclude that Malachi 3:8-12 applies to the entire nation of Israel. As such, it’s also unreasonable to conclude that it applies to us today either.
7. The book of Malachi was written at the time of Mosaic law in Israel. These laws supported a system of atonement that is now obsolete in the Christian faith as we (Christians) are now under grace, provided by the blood of Jesus.
Hi. When you start to tithe, it may feel like you are jumping of a cliff by giving all that money away, but remember you are jumping into the arms of God, into a glorious paradise of blessings. God will make the 90% of the money you are left with go so much further than the original 100% you had at the beginning.

If you need a better income CBN has utube videos about 'financial freedom'. In these videos people share about when they started tithing to CBN they started experiencing financial miracles of wealth. Sadly very little of modern evangelical Christianity is biblical- most of it is based on completely out of context verses. The speak on this video unfortunatelg takes verses out of context and speaks in cliches - id love to debate her on tithing or debate her pastor

Hello. Would love to correct with scripture on how you should not pay tithes and how giving money is not sowing a seed.
Money wasn't received as a tithe item in the bible and there's nothing in the bible that connects money with sewing a seed. Sewing a seed is a spiritual reference, not a monetary one.

I don't mind tithing because I surrender everything to my God not because of what the pastor says, but because he gave himself for me so why can't I give him what I have. My job may be low paying but I love him therefore what is mine is his everything that makes up me.
It's a joy to give my tithe and offering and not to expect anything in return, it doesn't really matter if I recieve anything in return for he is all I need and the best thing that ever happened to me, I'm not seeking anything in return but just to worship him and remain in his presence.
Everything I have is his.
This is my 3rd year after I was stopped tithing, and they have been the most fruitful years of my life.
I give, because giving is commended by the Scriptures, & I work hard & commit my ways to the Lord, again as commended by the Bible.
The person who tithes should equally keep the rest of the law as it was in the days of old Israel, including animal sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins.

People use bible words without knowing what they mean. This video is an example of just that. To know what tithing is you need to read Duet 14. Here you will find tithing was for the Jews, and there were 3 tithes. ( Duet 14:28 10% + 10% + 10% totaling 23.3% b/c one of them was only every 3 yrs. That's why 23.3% total. When you compare this to Malachi you will also see the words "tithes" and "offerings" and "rob". So the nation of Israel were required to give under the law and more than just 10% and more than just the 3 tithes. We are not under the law but under grace. Grace giving is not a necessity, or to be forced upon us, but we are to give cheerfully as we see fit. The tithe was a "payment" required by Israel's economy. The tithes were to go to the "storehouse", not a church. The church is - people, not a building. Tithes were also not money but food, cattle and possessions. Duet 14:23. These things could be exchanged for money if it was not practical in traveling to bring these things to the storehouse. Storehouse, what's that? It was a literal building in Jerusalem to bring these things. Giving should be done regularly but not as a requirement under the law as did Israel.
2Cor 9:6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
2Cor 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
"LET" = this word means we should give but it is not required. It's up to us. Quite different from law giving.

Jesus commanded the Gentile nations to follow the apostle Jesus Himself appeared to, and appointed to take the Gospel of Grace to. Jesus did not command the Gentile nations to follow the Jews' laws!! The Body of Christ is appointed to heavenly places inheritance, is not Jew and not Gentile but ONE NEW MAN. Israel is appointed to inherit the entire earth, according to all the prophets have spoken from the beginning of the earth. What Paul delivered to the Gentiles (uncircumcised) was hidden from mankind until Jesus revealed himself to Saul of Tarsus. What was given to the 12 apostles (Paul was not one of them), by Jesus Himself, was spoken by all the prophets since the world began (look at Acts 3:20-21 KJV). That's prophecy. The Body of Christ is not guided by any prophecy, but rather is given, defined, and guided by revealed mystery. Prophecy is revealed instructions of God. Mystery is hidden instructions from God. They are opposites. What Paul received directly from Jesus was not given to anyone else since the beginning of the world (Ephesians 3:8-9 KJV).
