    My problem is blending too much and there are no sharp details ..I think it comes from fear of being too sharp and ending up with bad art that’s not blended at all versus too much blend

    • @nehamathew5106
      @nehamathew5106 4 роки тому +17

      I have the same issue you just gotta be patient with it. I recommend adding a layer, adding darker colors to add definition and blend as much as you like. That way it won't ruin what you have underneath but you can mess with how dark or light you want the definition to be

    • @rayanevitorassi2492
      @rayanevitorassi2492 4 роки тому +5

      Today I was studying it and I found out that to add depth or even form to something it's way easier and I do it better when I think I'm sculpting it and not painting. I was shocked with how I started painting and blending today xD
      Try that and let me know later if it's just me ahdfasdfh

    • @ShionXeriawind
      @ShionXeriawind 3 роки тому +8

      getting the right amount of sharp and soft edges definitely takes time to study and understand so don't worry and just keep on drawing :) eventually when you look back at your past works you'll see the mistakes you've made and will be able to correct them better in the future,
      you can also reference your favorite artists and study their works how they do their strokes, details, composition, etc. and apply that to yours, you can also study about hard, soft and loss edges, sometimes there's a lot more sharpness and details in the focal point of a painting because that's where you want to draw the eyes of the viewer compared to the other parts of a painting, it will take time to improve but if you just keep drawing, your latest one will definitely be better than the first one :)

      listen to me, i'd would take an oversharpen art over an overblurry art any days. blocks those colors! use the hard brush.
      overtime you will learn how to get the midtones and make the transistion smoother. then you can freely use the blurring tool without smudging your art everywhere.
      It took me long enough to realize oh if I blend this it would look better because I was determined to paint harsh edges.

    Smudge is also super handy since PS doesn’t really have “dirty” paint brushes in that it’s always opacity blended and not value/hue/saturation aware. Krita and Paintstorm have awesome brushes that pick up and run out of colors, bleeding into what’s underneath rather than just layering on top.
