The TD500 Mesh V2 comes in at £100 - but what's the most you'd spend on a case? let us know your thoughts
A shame they didn't include PWM fans
@@chairs-dimension pwm fans ? means
@@chairs-dimension lol Why would they, less money for them. Get us to spend more.
@@complainergamer TD500 is actually a very affordable case. They clearly passed on the cost cutting on to the customer.
@@angrysocialjusticewarrior Absolutely it is, I have the V1, and now will have to get this one just because how easy it is to remove the top! lol Mine are rivited in. I could just drill em out... Still a great case, Paid 150CAD for it.
I applaud your dedication to spending time reviewing a box with holes in it. Designed to fit so many fans you could make a couple of drones out of them.
😁👍
it's a great idea to do a build as part of a case review: the proof of the pudding of a case is how good it is to build in. And the beer hanger? Genius!
Can't fault having a beer hanger close to hand.
Thanks for going into an amazing amount of detail for a case review.
No problem 👍
Really good review video - very thorough and concise!
Very nice video! Very clean and professional installation....absolutely perfect! All in all good components with a nicely decent and classy look. A good and clean installation in this great and fairly priced case! Thank you for this presentation and best greatings from Germany to the UK.
1 year later and I actually bought one of those due to your detailed review.
Thanks a lot!
Great to hear!
This looked incredibly neat and tidy.
Very nice with a radiator on top and 3 gorgeous fans in the front in addition to the invisible dark fan at the back
A very nice PC build
Thank you very much for a great presentation and film quality :)
Yay we get to watch a James build! That doesn’t take months this time :)))
😂👍
Thaks for review. This case offers good temperature condition.
I have the "V1" and i have to say, its a pretty good case for cooling.
The cable management possibilities are limited.
The case does have limited space at the top due to how high the motherboard mounts.
It's an amazing case for airflow. I have it. The only gripe is that the back side is pretty shallow and can cause headache during cable management
Gracias loko, estos son los reviews que la gente necesita.
I love James work here. It’s top tier. Puts a lot of effort into the videos. Wish I could say the same for some of the other guys. 😮
Ah the gigabyte Aorus 17h I assume. Yes. James should hold a meeting.
Luke has always been great here until recently. Maybe he is sick
I guess when you do stuff so long it becomes boring. Luke definitely seems bored. Leo and James rock ❤
I sometimes wonder if I go on a bit. You should see how much is edited out 😜
Quality work James’s. Becoming my fav on Kitguru 👍🏻
Yeah he is great. Puts a lot of work into his content.
It'll do. On point as usual, James.👍
Thanks Steve.
Very nice cant wait for this to launch on Amazon US. :)
Very solid review, thx.
Love a decent honest James review.
👍
James builds are great. ❤
While everyone else is advancing, Cooler Master keeps on re-releasing old products. I`m actually expecting the CM690 2023. edition any day now.
Would love to see some kind of custom colour option from the factory.
Dream case, confirmed!
Cablemod just started pre-orders for their 12v plug/cable adapter. They move the plug angle to keep the cables off the side panel.
Yep, those cables look very good but it's all added expense. The 90° angled adaptor looks good.
I want that CPU cooler!
👍
Nice to see James putting so much effort into this. The last review I saw here was Luke’s and it was terrible. He looked asleep.
Probably up to 200. But that should be something incredible and fit my requirements perfectly. Considering I prefer mATX and ITX, this is huge. Not a fan of front panel design.
Although I do realize unique and special front panel design is hard. To create something timeless in a cost oriented mass market after 30 years of "everything" is no easy task.
In general I kind of like Cooler Master cases. They have decent price/build quality. Many brands make all the same for worse prices.
BTW making rear fan exhaust made it compete for air with top rad. Not the best idea. You could make it intake (+add dust filter there), but it wouldn't help much anyway here.
As always, an instructive video and the build was a pleasure to watch. A very astute observation about Nvidia 40 series cards. I'm not so sure about your comments about the top dust filter: it may be useless when the PC is on, but what about when the PC is off? Shame about the fans being 3 pin and not PWM.
Anyway, did my eyes deceive me or are the front panel cables socketed (and thus removable) at the front panel? That would be very useful.
When you added the rear fan, was it an intake fan or an exhaust fan?
There is one good reason for the dust filter if I'm being completely honest. It would stop anything from being accidentally dropped into the case. The top vent holes are quite large, a screw or something similar could easily drop in. Problem is they are quite restrictive for airflow compared with that open top vent.
I think some of the front panel cables are socketed, they are on a lot of modern cases.
Rear fan was installed as an exhaust.
@@KitGuruJames Thanks. Having built umpteen PCs socketed front panel cables will make installing motherboards much easier as the cables can be fitted when the motherboard is outside the case, then routed. I have large hands and those jumpers at the bottom (power, reset, etc) can be particularly fiddly.
I wonder if setting the rear fan as an intake might have improved temperatures?
Keep up the great work.
Hi - where do the hard dirve and SSD drive cages go?
Does it come with the usual Coolermaster toolless caddies?
great layout slightly spoiled by the aging front panel design and price
The TD500 Mesh V2 Front Audio Jack is not working with the MSI PRO-Z790-A-WIFI motherboard.
Looks like a decent case for a 100 quid.
Just got this, the RGB button on the front resets / restarts my pc, what do I need to do?
Anyone know what the cutout depth is in the front at ~8:50 - 9:00min?
TD500 V2 or XPG Battlecruiser???
I am trying to connect my Quest 3 with the USB C types. In the front panel, it is detecting as a USB 2 and in the back panel the quest doesn't recognize the drive. The cabinet's front panel USB C is supposed to be 3.2 Gen 2 right? Where is the problem?
Can this case handle the ASRock phantom 7900XTX GPU with MSI tomahawk motherboard?
If Cooler Master were to put a small screen on the side of some future power supply unit the side pop out might have a use??? Displaying power used by computer while running or over a time period ??
I’m a bit lost with this comment. Can you elaborate ?
@@harleylover9446 The Cooler Master case has a small cut out window in the bottom on the glass side of the case to allow a view of the power supply. Power supplies are not "aesthetically Pleasing" they are generic boxes which sit in the bottom of the case and are generally ignored once you have built the PC and only looked at when adding a component or when cleaning the PC. That space on the side could be utilised to fit a small screen (Jays 2 cents did it ) on which data like temps of components or power draw could be viewed. They are putting them on the pump housings of AIO's now as well. Other case manufacturers are doing it ie Thermaltake Ceres 500 Snow
Not sure why they released this in 2023. I would like to see something new
do you recommend this or the phanteks eclipse g360a
i got one of these in december and the glass panel has two knobs and is NOT on a quick release lol. it's way too heavy
Don’t think the lack of width would be a problem with a new PSU / GPU but it’s strange becuase it doesn’t appear to be a skinny case.
Compared with something like a Fractal Meshify 2, this TD500 V2 is 30mm shorter on the width.
how can ı change argb without unplug the argb cable ?
Not a bad case but I can’t help but feel it looks 10 years old in todays market.
The front might look a little dated, with you on that. The good thing about that front panel is that you can install fans between it and the chassis frame which saves space inside the case creating more room for radiators and longer graphics cards.
Quality review James. The case isn’t wonderful but I admire the build and the effort showing it. What price is it ? Did I miss that ?
£99.95 👍
prob took the fan off the back to hit the 99.99 price point
Cracking build James. Would you buy this case yourself with your own money ?
Maybe.
Good PC 👍
Hi does this case come with rgb-hub or no ?
yes
Not to sure about those diamond patterns on the front.
You guys have the corsair switch why didnt you use it? This would be a good example if its compatible with different cases sigh!
Only Leo has a Corsair Shift PSU for now.
I wouldn't try to put a eatx motherboard in that case as it will block the cable gromets
Yes it will compromise cable cut outs for sure.
Wow such a lot of effort for an old design
Anyone know when this will be available on Amazon US, or why it isn't yet?
White is but for some reason black is 3x the price which sucks since i need the black version.
@@determination9296I was able to get mine at only 102 dollars in my country (Mexico) in a chain of PC component stores, I ordered it by shipment, I invite you to search well in nearby stores for the same price, and do not buy it for more
A lot of effort from James into what seems quite a run of the mill chassis. Bravo James. Not so bravo cm 😢
Thanks. 👍
Does TD 500 mean it’s a turbo diesel with 500 hp?
Must be a V8 TDi with that kind of power. 😂
The V1's specs don't say that it can accept either a 280mm or 360mm radiator, yet this case does claim to. Considering it's only 6mm longer, why is that? Should the original also be able to accept these; I don't see enough difference to justify why the V2 can accept the larger radiators but this cannot.
Officially the V1 supported up to 360mm front radiator and up to 240mm top. The V2 can support 360 at the front and top because of the extra height of the case. V2 is approximately 30mm taller than the V1.
keep that accessory away from the case if you use mechanical hdds
Got a new 6700xt that doesn't fit in my 10 year old tower case, so here I am .3
Seems to cool well but wow it’s so dated. So bad I had to post twice.
Can I mount videocard vertically with this case?
No extra slot for HDD?
The CM GEM is truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous.
If you know, you know.
Bro imagine iff cooler master was bed at cooling now that is a pr disaster
😄
Almost a great case. fucked up the side panel and that ugly mesh. If only they would offer the h500p mesh in black damn it
Shame it’s just a revamped old case. Feels lazy to me
WHY DONT U SHOW HOW DID U CONNECT FANS ?
That front panel looks so dated !!! 😮
It's ugly. This front looks like from another (old) time. :)
It is looking a bit dated now, I agree.
ugly case front
