@@CeltyST96 side deck is meant for cards that are situationally good but can end up as a dead card in the wrong situations, cosmic cyclone for example is really good against tenpai or fk snake eyes or gimmick puppet but when u go first u are basically playing with 4 cards in ur starting hands

For the record a YCSJ is more akin to double elimination than swiss and with that many people.
I think Voiceless has a favorable Tenpai match-up engine to engine, so that might explain it

Small correction, that White Woods Centurion list isnt using Auxilla to get into the Centurion package, Primera is a Light Spellcaster so the White Woods level 2 can special it from deck and the level 6 synchro can search it.

I'm loving the new Centurion cards. Even if Calamity gets banned you can eventually finish your opponent off with Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, Cosmic Blazar Dragon, and Centurion True Awakening. Cosmic Blazar temporarily Banishing itself as cost is a benefit because it makes stopping Centurion from reaching this board almost impossible once you have it started.

i think for sure snake eyes flourishing in top 256 but most top cut that isn't snake eyes just setup their deck to counter it.
You switched it around: the snake-eyes fiendsmith deck is not using the fiendsmith package; Fiendsmith is using snake-eyes package: make link 2 mini goddess which is a light fiend -> link 1 fiendsmith for full fiendsmith combo.
If I had to guess based of my testing of White Woods and The Fiendsmith we are about enter another tier 0 meta because of Yubel Fiendsmith/White Woods Runick/White Woods Spright. It will probably be Yubel if Phantom of Yubel comes out by then. That gives Phantom of Yubel, Caesar, Valdrath, Super Polymerization, and Rage into S:P+ the ability to have up to 12 non-engine and the 3 copies of Super Polymerization technically isn't non-engine to Yubel decks. I believe thats 4 negates + all those other interruptions.

This tournament being a BO1 is a special situation, but it also wouldn’t surprise me if Konami were using this as an experiment for future tournaments in BO1 formats. Especially if Konami shifts towards larger YCSes that occur less often to help save on costs since it’s no secret that Konami loses a lot of money on the YCSes.
They dont. Also: Nestle and Coke do not lose money, they invest in publicity/ad.
Bo1 in Japan has nothing to do with cost saving.
It's just that you can't expect the Japanese to took a day off for playing card game, so they really need to cram so many people on two day tournament.
YCSJ is BO1 because they want event start and finish within a day. YCSJ Tokyo happen in 2 days, to doing they have to announce many month ahead , held event during Golden Week, longest annual holiday of JP.

lol have you ever been to Japan. Looked at a globe map even? Japan has actual strict immigration laws that limits foreigner residence and it’s not like USA where illegal immigrants flood in in droves everyday beyond the occasional boat illegal assuming they didn’t die in the ocean.
The only actual areas you see foreigners is in Okinawa because of the USA military bases everywhere and in Tokyo because tourists and oversea foreigner business associates visiting Japan offices.
