Mourning a Neglected Peach Tree (Part 3)

Unfortunately not every project I embark on is a success... And even more unfortunate is that I didn't graft any new trees from this one so with this tree dies a variety that I will have to purchase in order to get it back on the homestead. But I must say that we always got a good crop from this tree and wish it well in that orchard in the sky!

Sad for the tree but excited about what you might decide to put in its place.

I'm excited to get some new varieties next spring! I plan to get some brown rot resistant varieties of peach and nectarine as it has been responsible for a majority of the crop losses we've had here.

Wouldn’t it be better to see someone do trial and error so you can learn from it? I can’t imagine there is an orchard owner alive who can save every tree…I prefer the honesty.
