  • This year we got to harvest our first fruit from this Bradford pear tree! The fruit pictured comes from Bradford Pear limb that we grafted over to the Peggy Asian Pear variety and the taste was absolutely worth the work that went into it!

Are you doing anything to that wasp? They ruin half a crop of pears and even was trying to get rid of me, didn’t want to share. Looking for solution for next year

I knocked this particular pear off the tree, and he flew away. Fortunately, this was the only time I found wasps in my fruit. You can make traps with either sugary drinks or meat or similar items depending on the time of year to get rid of yellow jackets and similar pests. Just be careful not to attract honey bees too if you can help it! Unless you want to adopt a hive, of course! 🙂

Definitely I have to try. Yellow jackets wasn’t problem. Probably Japanese wasp took care of them
