I personally do not have the funds for a guide so I just fish arrowvale campground but this year on opener day I got a 30 pounder right across from were your at this year. great vid keep them coming😊😂
Part of me wants this channel to get the fishing with Rod bump and blow up huge. But the selfish part of me wants you to stay small and be our little secret club. Either way I can't wait to be the hipster who subscribed to you before everyone else 😂 Congrats on the steelhead, the only ones I've ever caught were also on accident. Now I buy my steelhead tag every year whether I target them or not just in case I get another unicorn. If you ever wanna try for some small mouth bass on the Island let me know, I know where they hide the big ones and I'm not afraid to blow up my spots.
@@WestCoastWheelman Yeah like that ol country song, fishin in the dark, Catch a fish not a coff, Lee's got the catfish blues and the old favorite, How can I miss you if you won't go away...
Hi Linda, which size of Curado reel did you use? Is it 200? I am debating with my buddy about 200 vs 300 for salmon fishing, and still uncertain. Thank you
That's a 300 she was using. You can get away with a 200 as well, a lot of people think it doesn't hold enough line but I've yet to have a problem with 200. That said, it also depends on the average size of the chinook you are catching. If you are constantly getting into fish in the 20 to 30lb range, then go for the 300.
@@FishingwithRod The line capacity is not my concern at all. My doubt is only about 13 lb drug in 200, as I think it is kind of weak for decent Spring or Chum. Thank you very much for your opinion, Rod.
@@YuryTimoff Yeah for sure. That's why we were using the 300s in this video because some of the chinooks were 20lb+. On the Vedder, I mostly use my 200, as I mainly target coho and most of the chinooks I connect with are usually under 20lb.
