I bought 3 of those Armani blushes in the lighter shades and was kinda surprised no one ever talked about them given their amazing shades. The new ones seem so “on the nose,” as you like to say, by comparison. Hannah”s “old gum,” indeed. So flattering on my light neutral-olive, Cuban-girl skin.
oh yeah those armani blushes are amazing. not to overhype makeup it’s just makeup blah blah blah but i used it and finally understood what people mean when they say “it blends itself” that blush made me look at my other blushes and frown. so i got cool brown, one of the mauves, one of the plums, and the neutral pink. cool brown and neutral pink. the best.
This is EXACTLY what I needed to know about the new Saie blushes! I have gone back and forth wanting one, and I could never get a clear answer on the quality.
would you be open to doing a mid year foundation roundup or something along those lines? i really value your input on skin stuff and i feel like there haven't been exciting/high profile releases in a while, so I don't know what's worth my time/what's had lasting power in your collection!
I loveeee all your videos❤ but it never cease to impress me all the color theory and how every color looks so dif. on my skin than urs. I was watching the coral blush video and while some blushes pop super pigmented coral on you, when I tried swatching them on my forehead they looked peach (the exact same ones). And when I do that for the orange blossom bento is exactly the same LOL. I bought it after one of your reviews bc it looked beautifly coral-ish and it looks nothing like that on me 🤯
I always laugh when you talk about the Jones Road bronzers. Totally get where you’re coming from, but I'm very fair myself and LOVE the pinky shade. Maybe since my features are higher contrast so I always feel like I need more saturation in bronzers/blushes in order for them to actually show up against my brows and eye color? Does that make sense? Don't get me wrong, I also have to spend some time blending so the edges don't look patchy, but the color and pigment level are fantastic for me.

Orange Blossom is such a banger. I bought it on Kackie’s recommendation and even if you’re thinking about getting Coral Sunrise, still go for Orange Blossom! :)

I have more olive light -medium skin and I bough orange blossom on Kackie’s recommendation I enjoy it, but it’s not so vibrant as it is on her skin, on me. I was hoping for that bright orange/ almost neon pink flash that it goes on her- and it looks more like a neutral copper shimmer. I was also looking forward to the third “bedroom eyes brown” shade and it looks like a pretty neutral deepened gold on me. All the shades are really pretty just much softer and lighter than I was expecting. I think I forget that I have a different skin tone than Kackie and it can result in really different and unexpected effects. I’ve had the Rosewater trio for years now and it’s my go-to for wet look highlighted eyes. I love the two lighter shades and I find them much more sheer, chunky glassy glitter flakes than orange blossom. Maybe a formula change?
Sephora’s shade finder is so out of whack. My skin tone is relatively similar to yours, but it claims the “match” for Shiseido’s Self-Refreshing foundation in shade 140 Porcelain is 1.5 N in the Dior one…Yeah nope, not even close lol.

Kackie!! Please try the Saint Jane sunscreen!! It’s mineral, SO smoothing, slightly tinted, light as air. My pores? Gone. I’m literally obsessed with it and can’t wait to put it on in the morning!

Oh yes, I've had that shade of the Armani blush for ages and it refuses to move off my top shelf. It's a perfect no-brainer with a great finish. I enjoy the orangey shades too, but they very much help define the colour palette, whereas #20 is so agreeably flexible.

I have the nars liquid blush in its first iteration where it was a pump and shat ton of product in dolce vita. I'd say the shade is a bit more like the powder, not an ounce of brown in sight. I actually quite like that formulation. A little goes a long way, and it's lasts on the skin. Not sure why they changed it.

I wish the Jones Road WTFoundation came in a squeezy bottle like that bronzer. That way you could also shake it up to re-emulsify any natural separation and it wouldn’t be messy to use!

How does the Jones Road gel bronzer compare to the Milk Makeup one?
Kackie, would you compare the Jones Road gel bronzer to the physicians formula gel bronzer? Way way back in the day, i used to use a gel bronzer and have been hunting for one that works as well as i remember ever since. Now, all of a sudden, brands are brining back the "gel" bronzer but i need to be budget minded and want to buy just one. It would need to be cool/fair skin friendly without an orange or peach tint. Thank you!!

Not medical advice ofc, but i read a review on the briotech hypochlorous acid skin mist and someone mentioned it helped a ton for a stye and apparently others loved it for psoriasis flares? I use it for when my super sensitive skin breaks out because a lot of the issue is me touching my skin too much 😅 either way it's fantastic after being in a public space to disinfect my life
Hypochlorous is the way! I use the tower 28 sos and it helps me prevent blepharitis flare-ups

Huh... That product combo. I tried the original Dior backstage with the Kosas powder when they came out and they did Not mesh. It turned into some weird cottage cheese texture on my skin with the oils from the powder eating through the foundation underneath. Plus Kosas leans yellow and I wear CR in Dior so it was like puddles of pink in curdled yellow. The experience put me off Kosas. I'm surprised it might work now. ? How was it after twenty minutes?

I have found my experience with the Kaja Beauty Bentos is better than I have with Her Majesty Ms McGrath. I think they’re just as special but easier to work with.
I feel like something happened with the production of the armani melting color balms.I bought one or two when they first released, and then wanted to go get more shades not that long after and they were sold out for a looooong time, and then like 1 random color would come into stock, and its been like that more or less in the 2 years since they came out. It's not even like they went viral (seemingly not consistent enough stock for enough people to try them...)

Is the reason that I can’t get blush to stick in my under eye area skin texture nonsense or color theory nonsense? Sometimes I look in the mirror and just notice that I have these whiiiite under eyes, but no matter how much blush I try to add it just makes it worse by making the blush darker around the under eye bag, but never sticking to it. Is that what your method here is for?

Yeah it's because blush and concealer are disparate in shade! So the very fair powder bronzer kind of bridges the gap.

Oh I feel this so hard. I went to a literal PICKLE FESTIVAL a few months ago and parked on the street ACROSS THE STREET from a woman’s house in a designated parking area. I was waiting for my partner to get out of the car so I stepped onto maybe the first 6 inches of her grass for a moment to get out of oncoming traffic and am met with “HEY LADY, NO ONE SAID YOU COULD STEP ON THIS LAWN.”
When I apologized very confused that I was being yelled at for stepping into a sliver of someone’s yard to get out of traffic, she proceeded to tell me how frustrated she was that other people had been parking in her lawn (not me) and when I apologized again and wished her a nice day while walking away she goes “stupid b*tch”.
My blood has never boiled faster and in that moment I realized that people can call me a lot of things but stupid is not one that I respond well to 😅 I turned around and yelled back “I do have a doctorate!” and smiled at her while my husband grabbed my hand and was like “disengage, disengage” but it full on ruined my day 😂
