Today we are reviewing the latest Hexmariner 42 from Revelot. A year ago I featured the 39mm variant that, on paper, looked perfect for my wrist, but upon receiveing it, I realizedit wore much smaller than the specs would suggest, due to a small dial and a slanted chapter ring as well as the printed minute markers that are on a circle instead of starting at the chapter ring. This time around they sent me the 42mm version that, again, on paper, shouldnt work on my small wrist, but due to the obove mentioned things actually ended up looking perfect!
The watch is powered by a Seiko NH35 and comes with a sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel and incredibly shaped and finished case and bracelet. The whole watch loojks like a bastard child of Rolex Submariner and Zelos Hammerhead and I LOVE IT!!
With a range of dial and metal options there is something for everyone, while this variant that I got takes the bling factor to 11 with a rose gold bi-color scheme and an aventurine dial.
It might be too much for some, as it was for me at first, but I grew into liking it the more time i spent with it.

I'm typically not drawn to two toned when it comes to watches, but with this combination of dial and bezel, I think I might like this one (?). Though something like the Blue Aventurine Steel would probably feel more at home.

To me it still looks big. I have a Pagani with identical dimensions, maybe a larger dial, and that makes me quite aware of having a big watch. Which is a shame, because it's a gorgeous hulk, lovely colors and finishes.
It's not beuatiful, and it's not ugly....I don't know....for this price is perfect and enough.

It's not a bad looking watch, but isn't in the same league as ZELOS. The Hammerhead was an original design. The build quality of ZELOS is better as well.
