I still consider him one of my all-time favourite Canucks player until the day I die. The way the team was during the 94 cup finals and used their skills with finesse. I'm still a Canucks girl no doubt, but the current line-up are nothing like Captain Canuck Linden and Bure.
Nationality has nothing to do with talent. Canadian, Russian, American, etc, It doesn't matter. Hockey brings people from all over the world together and that's what makes it so great. There is nothing wrong with loving your countryman, and being competitive. But so many hockey fans are flat out disrespectful. Being biased is being human, but show some respect. The world looks down on you.
i think the best part of that video is how when they are awarding the calder, bure stands up before his name is called. My favorite hockey player of all time and always will be. Bure faithful.
Bure was one of the most remarkable athlete in the hockey history, his body-fat was around the 5 pourcent year long, which is extremely difficult to maintain. He also bench more than 1.5 his body weight. I think that his high level of play is due to his physical fitness, greatly above the average.
@Ahattrick4asprilla It was called the dead puck era because teams played very defensive and all the games were low scoring. Any player with the puck would get hooked and grabbed really badly and penalties were rarely called. The new rules don't allow players to do that anymore which means more offense. So if Bure played today, he would be winning the rocket richard every year.
Why he isnt in the Hall of fame is a joke, someone please explain this. Nobody brought you out of your seat like the Russiian Rocket and Im talking about away games as well.
Pavel Bure was great and his younger brother. Valeri.was pretty good too...Imagine playing.on.International ice surface thr surface all.hockey should be played on!
Early 90s r the most talented era in nhl n the most defensive oriented plays era. These golden era players if playing in todays loosen rules , they would destroy everythings
The song sounds like it was something thrown together by Vancouver radio station CKNW, which used to broadcast Canuck games. You can hear a reference to the station's call letters (CKNW) at one point. Frankly, it's brutal.
Russia vs. Canada would be a great final. Either team has enough skill to win but in such a short tournament it'll be who has the right type of players, and which team comes together the fastest. Takes more than goal scorers to win a championship.
10, 9, ignition sequence start, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, zero. All engines running. Liftoff! We have a liftoff! Thirty-two minutes past the hour. Liftoff on Russian Rocket 10!
Or not... the Messier years were the WORST in Vancouver Canucks history... The day he retired was the best day of my life... He did not deserve to have his Jersey retired at all... He may ahve won cups, but they only came courtesy of Gretzky he was nothing w/ out him.
@barkleysound the only reason he wasn't is because the canucks used a loophole to allow him to be eligible for the draft, they used an oft seen couple semi amateur games to say he was a professional, even though he was 17. If not Bure would of went number 1 overall instead of 56th in the 4th round, Bure was destined for a trade up war between Detroit, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles
LMFAO hahaha ha 😂🤣😅😃. No thanks to Gino Pavel started hitting. And Gino got motivated to get goals thanks to the push of Pavel. Like Gretzky and Messier like Lemieux and Jagr and Teemu to Domi. Linden to McLean was Pavel & Gino. These two as Ojick said he Pavel didn't understand America's English or speak it the first few yrs. And I got my jersey signed by Pavel Bure after came gave me a huge. The guy was and is a nice guy gentleman
I never liked the guy, but you have to be in awe of the skill. My favorite Bure play though has to be his vicious Game Misconduct elbow in the '94 finals! Thank you, Pavel.
@chaucy9 Where's the NHL? This isn't the NHL I grew up with. I know things have changed and the game has evolved and that part is great, but the NHL is sports entertainment. Whether teams win and lose legitimately now is debatable.
He sure was fun to watch. So fast and he hit bigger than he was. Cherry was right that he didnt play much defense but he could find the back of the net like no one else. Funny how back then they took 2 minute shifts. Shows how much things have changed. Hed be even better now if he was starting out. His speed would dominate even more with nobody hacking and hooking him.
4th ROUND??? I realize he was Soviet at draft time and couldn't just walk over, but seriously nobody would burn a 2nd or 3rd round pick and take a chance on him needing to defect? Where was everbody else on draft day??
rick riz Russian players were only selfish when they played on teams with a bunch of Canadians that couldn’t match their skill. Look at the Russian 5 in Detroit. 5 Russians playing the same system showed that they were team players. Panel had to do it all in Vancouver because nobody on that team came close to his skill level.
I love the Canucks, but my all time favorite team was the '94 team! Pavel Bure will always be my favourite Canuck!

Можно смотреть бесконечно 😁😇👍
I´ll never forget that game...it was magic, the best Ive ever seen! =) and he is the best there ever will be
i think the best part of that video is how when they are awarding the calder, bure stands up before his name is called. My favorite hockey player of all time and always will be. Bure faithful.
That was awesome, he just KNEW! 🙌🏼
Loved how he was already getting up, out of his seat, before they announced the Calder winner lolz. Stud
Audio wasn’t sync’d with video
@@laddergoat9000 you keep telling yourself that. The guy was a stud.
Schmeichel4ever I was defending my favourite player Pavel Bure and GOAT by saying it was a technical error and he was not being arrogant.
@@laddergoat9000 I was kinda hoping he WAS being arrogant lol
Most electric goal scorer ever. Favorite player of all time, I wear 10 in hockey cuz of Pavel
Bure put up 50+ goal season with Florida in the dead puck era. Imagine how many goals he would score in today's NHL.
BURE BURE BURE...LOVE THAT
я думаю такого скоростного игрока как он еще не появилось! до него был один звали Валерий Харламов!
Bure was one of the most remarkable athlete in the hockey history, his body-fat was around the 5 pourcent year long, which is extremely difficult to maintain. He also bench more than 1.5 his body weight. I think that his high level of play is due to his physical fitness, greatly above the average.
I'd forgotten how good Pavel was... and McLean.
Bure should have his number 10 in the rosters
Oh yah!! Bure Bure!!!! That man can shoot the puck!
@Ahattrick4asprilla It was called the dead puck era because teams played very defensive and all the games were low scoring. Exactly
I didn't think they could put the song "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" in a hockey documentary.....BUT THEY DID!
he gets up and walks towards the stage even before his name is called....classyyyyy!
Супер ракета! Её никто не догонит! Паша ты лучший!😁😍👍
Why he isnt in the Hall of fame is a joke, someone please explain this. Nobody brought you out of your seat like the Russiian Rocket and Im talking about away games as well.
He's in there now, but his friend Mogs isn't.
Scoring more points than games played... unimaginable.
Did anyone notice Bure stood up at the NHL award before his name was even called out? Now that's confidence!
The reason I am a Canucks fan.
hockey is a lot easier now
than it was in those
days
21 years later the hockey hall of fame
Paul Bure > D.Sedin + H.Sedin
and Markus Naslund.. everyone seems to forget him
Pavel Bure was great and his younger brother. Valeri.was pretty good too...Imagine playing.on.International ice surface thr surface all.hockey should be played on!
Такого катания нет ни у кого, он легенда!
Техник ,таких сейчас НЕТУ.
If Pavel played nowadays
He would have 50% more points
Early 90s r the most talented era in nhl n the most defensive oriented plays era. These golden era players if playing in todays loosen rules , they would destroy everythings
Linden, Ronning, Lumme, Valk, Courtnall, and McLean
The song sounds like it was something thrown together by Vancouver radio station CKNW, which used to broadcast Canuck games. You can hear a reference to the station's call letters (CKNW) at one point. Frankly, it's brutal.
Great

when I think of the cold war I think of the russian rocket, pavel fricken bure. haha.
That's 94 team was amazing. They'd beat the shit out of you then go score 7 goals in the same game!
They got beat by the post in 1994.
Or not... the Messier years were the WORST in Vancouver Canucks history... The day he retired was the best day of my life... He did not deserve to have his Jersey retired at all... He may ahve won cups, but they only came courtesy of Gretzky he was nothing w/ out him.
He won cup as a Ranger s Gretz..

gotta love the music haha
i like the pavel bure song
"The Mother of Elbows"
No one took cheap shots on Pavel Bure the same again after that -- no one wanted to get Churla-ed.
LMFAO hahaha ha 😂🤣😅😃. No thanks to Gino Pavel started hitting. And Gino got motivated to get goals thanks to the push of Pavel. Like Gretzky and Messier like Lemieux and Jagr and Teemu to Domi. The only reason why that won't happen is because of the way he left. A lot of Canuck fans are still pissed off at him.
1.03 Bure ..Pavel Bure he dressed like spy)
More like inspector clouseau 🤣
Best ever
I never liked the guy, but you have to be in awe of the skill.

That man can skate!
he seems to score against the jets alot!
that was pretty sick

Yeah, I noticed that too. Awesome. Cocky, but awesome.
Press "6" to go to Pavel Bure song
bure got up before the guy called his name
hey, does anyone know how i can get that bure bure song for my ipod??
Wow cheesy music :D (it's good still)
lol look at how tiny goalie pads used to be
Wow,he's doing things kids are doing these days! Between the legs! Like I didnt know people did that then! I thought it was all snapshots !
vice versa for sure lol :)
are you serious, there is less hooking and holding but the goalies are much better now
You need defense to win championships btw!!
4th ROUND??? I realize he was Soviet at draft time and couldn't just walk over, but seriously nobody would burn a 2nd or 3rd round pick and take a chance on him needing to defect? Where was everbody else on draft day??
Correction... Bure was selected in the 6th round of the 1989 Draft.
