Bro, you have a beautiful apartment. And I'm with you, I seriously dislike the term "third world." With you living in the Dominican Republic and with me having visited the Dominican Republic last year, I think we both can attest to, there are multiple places in the DR, that can rival some of the best places in the US. Truth be told, there are some place here in the US, that look "third world" don't get me started.....lol

Guys, I only pay $350 USD for my large apartment here in the Dominican Republic! It has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Definitely, you should consider the Dominican Republic if you're thinking about a move to a peaceful country with a low cost of living.

I believe you, especially in santiago where 3 bedrooms cost $350,&$400 a month
I pay 321.00 (with electric)- two large bedrooms, one large service room, and one bath. Older mature neighborhood in Higuey and older apartment but NICE. You'd be surprised coming inside for sure. Be careful with "gringo" pricing. Always (!) remember to have someone local you can trust and advise you properly. Great video and I agree, its a better life and enjoy it Jay!

I live in Germantown, Maryland which is considered a suburb of Washington DC and there is an apartment complex around the corner from me that has a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit that cost about $3500 per month for rent. That is amazing what you pay for your condo per month. Amazing!!!

I’m from DR, I own a home there, but living in PA and I can tell you that every time I go over which is every December I think about moving over there . No stress living life , going to the beach any day I wish. Watching your videos have made really consider it. Here is working cooking cleaning go to be and do the same thing the next day. Always rushing and full if stress

I lived in Fort Lauderdale and a 1 bedroom was 1900 when I lived in Sunrise, I plan on moving there to be with my wife and our son, I will show her this video because I love watching your videos and gives me inspiration

Health insurance it depends on the company , the coverage, and number of people. My family of 3 we pay $181 per month. And we have the 2nd best plan with our insurance company. Car insurance for full coverage is around $65 per month

No my plans are to rent for a few months until I find the right vibe that fits for me and my wife. She love shopping and going to the mall, but me I just need a good cigar and a strong drink of whiskey and a swimming pool in the morning.

Well, I'm Dominican and El Naco is considered a very very good (rich area). Glad that all has worked out. Good that you ran we are paying right now close to $3,200 in Boca. No, Dom. Rep. is not a 3rd world country. It's like every other, good places and bad places. You choose where you want to be. There is no other place like back home at the end of the day. Many blessings to you and your family, you guys will do great.
I live here in Boca too, and yes housing rates here go up like crazy, when I go to the supermarket I wonder how people earning minimum wage can survive. I think Boca has one of the highest gas prices, is insane everything is more expensive than any other surrounded cities.

Nice apartment ❤. Place a throw on the back of your chair that is thick enough for the springs to not poke you in your back. Another option is a place a white t-shirt over the back. Just sharing a couple of ideas until you replace it 😊

Very honest review. I live in Santo Domingo myself. Piantini and Naco are top rated and most people living there also have cars. I like to walk and be near the Malecon and Zona Colonial. Gascue is nice. I live In LA espirilla and pay $850 for a 1 bedroom in a tower wirh all the amenities. I walk or Indriver everywhere.
Yessiiirr. La Esperilla is nice too. That's a middle class area to. They're some nice towers there.

I appreciate the tour of the crib. I'm presently purchasing a penthouse condo (3 level), ocean view, in Guayacanes. The beach is across the street and moreso private than public. This, in the US, wouldn't be possible for me yet, in the DR it is. Salute to those judging books by their cover and not taking their time to understand the paradise between the pages. Cheers to you and yours and hopefully run into you in the city sometime.

My wife and I just got back from celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary at Bahia Principe Grand El Portillo in Samana, Dominican Republic. That place was beautiful. The food was great and the service was top notch. Can't wait to go back.
How close is the nearest beach from your area? If I convinced my wife, who's Dominican but born and raised in NY, to move out there when we retire in 8 years, we would definitely want to go to the beach often. Be safe!

There are several apartments in the Santo Domingo area that are 2 levels. What type of information are you needing.
