Oh no how dare he do his job. Ownership getting butthurt the last couple of years they were being cheap while they were playing in an empty stadium. This is some clown bullshit and ownership gotta realize they aren't the story but the team is.
I am an Orioles fan and watch just about all their games and believe Kevin Brown paired with color analysts Jim Palmer or Ben McDonald are a wonderful team and offer excellent announcing and insight. To be suspended and or removed for a statement that lame is BS. It’s the truth. It’s history what are we supposed to do forget about it. Didn’t the Rays sweep them (0-19) a few years back. Over the last decade they let Jon Miller walk, Gary Thorne and Mike Bordick as well. They hired Kevin Brown and Melanie Newman ( Who is wonderful ) all on the cheap. Now they want to intimidate their voice! Orioles fans are NOT stupid. The Orioles ownership is a joke. The siblings and mother fight amongst themselves while the old man is slipping away. There’s constant threats to move the team, four consecutive seasons with over 100 losses and with one if not the lowest and most insulting payroll’s in the MLB. Thank god for Mike Elias putting a young, competitive and entertaining team together.

Ok but Palmer with his old man giggle and Melanie’s lack of baseball knowledge render them useless. Palmer was an amazing pitcher and should’ve let it rest at that.
This is where our society is already headed. Disciplined for merely telling the truth with no malice in his words, might I add! This is an absolute and utter joke! The Orioles should be deeply ashamed of themselves!

Not an Orioles fan but hearing about this is just ludicrous. There's a reason why broadcasting programs show graphics proving every statistic a broadcaster mentions.

I watch and listen to lots of broadcasts. You hear broadcasters always break out some statistic that shows how a team is doing better than a previous season, or in a long time. And sometimes, they point out current or past deficiencies. What Kevin Brown said was in no way a negative against the steps that the Orioles have taken to build and improve their team. Especially after several years of performing poorly despite investing in established veteran players. The excitement around the rookies this year is fueling an Orioles organization that hasn't been this enthusiastic in over a decade. If the team included this data in the broadcast and production notes, they really shouldn't have an issue with Kevin Brown using this data as a stepping off point for reference to show how much better the team has been performing.

After watching the Kevin Brown video, I said to myself, why would an announcer ridicule the team for which he is announcing? He seemed happy in doing it, too.
Your definition of ridicule may need some tuning up. The announcer was presenting factual data.
