- I thought this would be an interesting comparison video, given both lights produce a similar amount of lumens and also feature 3 x XHP70.2 emitters. Heat dissipation/battery life is far superior in the Wuben X-1. But the MS03 is smaller, lighter, and easier to carry around. Find out which one you should get by watching my video.

I just received the impressive X1. It is a standout in both Form and Function. The fact that it can hold its light intensity for so long was a selling point for me. Too many lights these days are just a flash in the pan.

Yup i do have the same findings as you have. MS03 have impressive turbo but suffers heat dissipation greatly. As and when it is heated up, the turbo fuction is somewhat useless as it just steps down. Whereas X1 is still function well after prolonged use with turbo. What i also noticed is that the head portion of X1 is also toasty but the fan does keep it cool after some time. The beam dispersion also favors the X1 over the MS03. Its more area covered with the X1. For edceability, MS03 does sit well in a pocket but X1 does come with a useful belt sheath. For me X1 partnered with Lumin’s Thor 3 is a food combination. mS03 although with its short comings still have a place in my rotation due to the wow factor it provides on a small form factor. In summary both Ms03 dan X1 is a keeper.
Yes, some of these comparisons are hard to call as it depends on what people value most! I can only say which I'd pick but even then it's difficult. On a more practical level, the X1 but the MS03 has that extra wow factor being smaller.
Excellent video. I have the X2 (I was calling the W2, no idea why) and I made up my mine if I ever see the X1 on sale for around $160.00 I am grabbing it.

@@DarrenYeoYT Thank You for the Information. I bought the X2 when they were using a public funding site, I only paid $75 for it. I am cheap and if I want to continue in two hobbies (pocket knives and flashlights) I have to grab the deals when I can.

If the wow factor is this small, he will be the clear winner MS
But if it is for use and practicality, I expect that X1He's the winner
So the X1 somehow feels more comfortable to carry. Though it's heavier, it's more comfortable in the pocket as it's flatter.

I think it is possible as the cells can be removed. But Wuben don't recommend it and say in the manual not to take the light apart.

Fair comment, was trying to say that these are the smallest high lumen lights you could fit in your pocket.. though not easily
@@DarrenYeoYTI beg to differ. I personally fit the MS03 comfortably in my pocket as an EDC… it’s not an EDC in the sense it’s not a keychain light (which is what most people expect an EDC to be) but it is still an technically a "bigger" EDC.
Though, EDC isn’t always about size, it’s about what works for you as something you can use on a day-to-day basis (EDC = everyday carry). Therefore some lights will be EDC to some people while not EDC to others. But the MS03 is widely considered the brightest EDC and right on the brink of being declared a non-EDC light, while I’d argue the X1 is passed the line of being an EDC light; it’s just too wide.
The MS03 easily fits in my pocket alongside my wallet and everything else I have there… keep in mind I don’t exactly have big pockets. The X1 would take up my entire pocket just by itself while the MS03 doesn’t need that much space.
That being said, because the MS03 is so much more compact than the X1, it is a little harder and less comfortable to hold whereas the X1’s increase in size (and therefore extended surface area) make it easier to hold but harder to store in your pocket and use as an EDC.
Ultimately the X1 (at least by my definition) really isn’t an EDC nor is it trying to be but the MS03 is and it’s very good at that. If you want something you can easily carry, get the MS03. If you want something a bit harder to carry but a bit easier to use overall, get the X1. And if you just want brightness, hey the MS03.
