Would love to see better emitters though, some high-CRI and not that dead pale 6k, looks quite unpleasant on the video. Also better battery indicator would be welcome (something like Nitecore OLED maybe?), especially when customized light levels (great feature) can have unpredictable working times. I really appreciate that Wuben was not afraid to try less classic shapes and put efforts to design reasonable compact pocket monster, which is not ridicules 10s turbo style nonsense :)
Thank you! The one I have there are directly form Acebeam X75, so 6200K 70 CRI. Nothing fancy, but I only got about 10% drop in output when switching from HD to HI LEDs. I am always worried about waterproofness of anything below IPX7 🤷 Interesting idea with this battery indicator, that would be something 😀
I think it's very interesting flashlight with really nicely balanced futures. Great proposition for normal (not enthusiasts) people with a need for powerful light source. Wuben can make it better, they can choose to actually listen to they customers. More optional emitters would be great, improving the button shouldn't be that difficult and... 💥boom. Ip 56 isn't the best but the light can handle light rain and that's enough for most situations and users. Improving water tightness and keeping cooling fan would probably cause enlargement of whole package. Some things are not that easy. Great video as always. 👌

The high sustained output of this relatively small flashlight makes it an amazing Wonder. All flashlights are incredibly bright for a few seconds, I'm not impressed by that anymore.
Nice review FE I like the design, a lot of output while easy to carry on your belt. Not happy about having to remove the back plate with bolts, would have been great too carry two spare batteries in a separate pouch Not too be though, maybe they will redesign this. Perhaps something similar to the Fenix LD50 or an exposed thumbwheel. 👍

I find this to be a compelling design, and it’s far more interesting than a regular soda can light. Between this and the TN36, which has higher sustained brightness? Also - The buttons look the same on the MK38 and the X1. Are Wuben and Manker collaborating?

Concerning your questions, TN36 being much larger flashlight and having extremely good thermal capabilities can sustain between 5 and 7k lm! Much difference here. However, Sofirn Q8 Pro can only sustain around 2000 ;) Buttons are similar in looks, but Manker uses metal, while Wuben some kind of plastics Hope that helps ;)
I would buy this flashlight in a heartbeat if it came with xhp70.3 hi. I've had xhp70.2 flashlights and I hate them. Oh well maybe next time when they come up with new models with new emitters.
1. It is similar in number of emitters only. Turbo is really momentary and lower modes can't sustain brightness properly + it is much smaller 2. Didn't have it on me to compare ;)

I really love the cooling fan and this form factor.
In the next release I'd like to see Wuben add high CRI and improved water resistance.
That would be AWESOME. Hi CRI can be achieved now through LED swap, but not easy for everyone
