- This is a video displaying my process of tufting a 2ft Hello Kitty rug with my AK-1 Cut Pile Tufting Gun!!! I've always loved Hello Kitty imagery in our culture, owning this custom Hello Kitty RUG has now made my space 5x cooler 😎

Tufting is contagious!!!! Hard to forget about once you've seen it...
@@FlavorWorld : Cut pile tufting gun will arrive sometime in late January. Gives me time
to make a frame, and get either the burlap or Monk's cloth ready. I love abstract art
from the 50-60s, so my rugs will probably have that motif. Love the embroider of your
brand on the back. Will you be able to get a rug shearer for providing a professional
look on the finished rugs in the future???

Last year it was epoxy and resin molding hobby now it looks like tufting this year lol.

I'm so glad I found your channel a few weeks ago. Its been super inspiring & I will be getting myself a tufting gun after the holidays. This is by far my favorite peices you've done. They're all pretty sick but I've always loved hello kitty. And I absolutely love all the detail even on the back of the rug.

his yarn and frame and tufting gun,

a tufter's work is never done.
He lays down another 1 of 1 track so pleasing and soft,
even despite his left hand having been cleanly cut off;

I’m shredding threw my cloth!
Hi!!! usually one of these things is what is going wrong:
1. you aren't pressing firmly enough with the gun against the fabric (you don't need to press SUPER hard just can't be too light with it)
2. make sure you’ve got the gun at a 90-degree angle with the fabric and that you always point it in the direction it's traveling
3. your yarn maybe isn't feeding properly (reduce the friction of it!)
4. your fabric might not be stretched tight enough

your videos are my favorite to watch. i have learned more from you in such a short amount of time it’s insane. i do have one question tho i’ve tried using burlap but it always seems to rip. do you have any tips for that?? i would appreciate it
WOW yes!!! Im so hyped to inspire and educate you it fr means so much.
Burlap definitely rips a little easier than monks cloth, BUT, it shouldn't be too big of an issue. I usually dont get any holes when using it.
If its ripping for you, that often means that yours not pushing hard enough into the burlap with your gun. If you're not kinda firm with it, then the needle will push itself off of the fabric (not through) and then snip the fabric too.
give that a try. if it doesnt fix it, DM me and we can figure it out!!!

I liked all the tips you add and the kitty chart on the left showing what parts you were working on. I'm wondering about your spray adhesive. The kind I use for my quilts will wash off. What kind did you use?

Im using Loctite 300 Professional for my spray adhesive! strong stuff, but not good for your lungs at all!!!
