Thank you for liking my water trough, I googled the foundary that made it, they closed down in the 1940's so it's over 70 years old, we only set it up in July this year

Brill vid mate. UA-cam has helped turn a lonely one man/woman hobby into a community that help eachother out. My family think im crazy spending the money i have on my pond but i know there's even crazier people than me when i see their ponds lol

What are the dimensions of your koi pond James? It's difficult to get an idea of size just looking at a screen.
Why do our koi fishes not grow big like they do abroad? Is it because we generally build smaller ponds and our cool shorter Summers?
Talking soley about asthetics for a moment- Your pond looks as if you paid some fancy landscape garden architect designer to do a plan. You definitely got "the eye" for design. It fits well in your garden and it's not cluttered about with stuff.
A few choice objects and just a few well chosen tasteful plants set off the fishes just right. Less is more.
The thinking behind the layout of oriental gardens is thoughtful, simple and, sort of minimalist. Japanese in origin koi fishes look great with your contemporary oriental style of pond design.
I think DIY builders need advice regarding concealing pipework also about edges. The look of the pond edge can make an expensive pond look cheap. And a budget pond look classy. It's not necessarily about expensive materials; more so consideration, planning and thought.

Great Video. I love seeing Pictures and Video's of other peoples set up. I have managed to improve mine thanks to ideas I've learnt from seeing other peoples set ups and more importantly mistakes. Keep doing them please.
i have built a pond unique to all of those,,, My pond is in the middle of my pool / lazy river,,, with glass windows so you view the fish as you float around the pond yet are in the pool,,, i don't have a vid on just the koi pond but do have several posted on how i built the entire pool/pond combo,,, check it's out my own design I've never seen anything even similar... worth a look ,,, thanks

Does anybody know how to plant parrot feather? How deep and such
hi mate,it looks like dropsy to me,I've had it a couple of times in the past and they've been treated with baytril etc by a qualified vet and nothings worked,i did try propolis on one and it looked like it was working in a qt but it cured it,from experience i don't think there's much more you can do
