- Words cannot explain how truly amazing some of these Koi you will see in. This video truly are so I took a trip to Wales to see my friend Lee Koi soldier. He runs his own UA-cam channel. If you’re not subscribed to his channel and you should be, he owns some of the best Koi in the UK, but his videos are interesting. Funny and definitely worth taking a look after you’ve seen this video.

Love your videos mate and inspired me to build my own koi pond ordered sleepers as can't afford blocks but looking at a 2.4 x2.4 x1.2 bottom feed pond with easy pod and moving bay filter and hopefully a window in gonna do over next few months keep up the vids there great 👍

Quality fish and had the pleasure of seeing some of them in the skin at the shows last year. Hopefully get to a couple of shows this year and maybe even grab a quick chat with you both. Not a massive UA-camr but I do watch most of the content produced by you both

I have a thick newbie question here. You said the yellow one at the start of the video was "grade a quality" and a lot of the koi suppliers sell fish as "a grade" but when I googled about koi grades it says that 'a grade' is low to mid. Does "a grade" mean top quality in the UK or mid quality?

Obviously you and Lee have become mates and he's also got some lovely looking fish to..but I much prefer your pond to be honest and with you and you have got some stunning koi yourself to especially the Kujaku stunning looking koi that is and the others are to..plus I think just keeping 10 or 12 big koi is enough..and your misses Whisperer will probably agree with me 😅

Some would have done it. And did at mine the year before last someone cleared me out if it wasn't for me grandchildren I would have not gotten more fish . As I'm on a buget I'll get there once again.

@JamesTHEKOIwhisperer123 No, I'm getting there, but as on budget, it takes time. Not money I don't have. The thing for me is how ever it was couldn't have gotten much for it . I wish I could have gotten my hands on them . But there we go . But thanks for the offer. One thing I can say is I've been keeping koi for 30+ years, and back then, it was all vary hush hush . That's a lot better now . But once again, thanks .and thank you're mother for the rabbits.
I’m not having a go at anyone in particular but this “mates only” club that exists in the hobby is one thing I hated when I kept koi. If yo weren’t in “the know” you had no chance of getting hold of really good fish. There was also the habit of over pricing fish. I know because I witnessed it on more than one occasion.
Having said all the above I would really love to have another pond but there is still that tiered system in the hobby.
Sorry but I had to say what I did.
What do we call big fish for me 50+ cm is a very good koi, 60cm -75cm is the hammer , over 75cm is dream koi im gutted you 2 are so far away im over near newark
James your pond blows away the koi soldier away. He needs to learn a few tricks from you.
Well mate his pond is something special mate I think it’s great both got different things I like but that’s what the hobby is all about I really like Lee he is a sound guy and made us very welcome

Why do you have a Bakki shower and an Oase filter at the same time? Is the Oase just for show while the Bakki does the heavy lifting?
