I was a kid in the 90s... does anyone else just feel like... safe watching these? Like... you're back in a world that cared about you and had so much potential... and now it's just like... everything is in danger and turmoil and people no longer care about things? That's how I feel when I watch this. XD Things like these just feel like... EFFORT!
I know exactly what you mean. I've gotten more and more into the things from my childhood, even little things like the old commercials and TV shows I used to like. Nostalgia is powerful and I've been dipping into it even more deeply than usual because of the scummy state of society lately.
Disney was clean and taught values...now its disgusting like every channel...
Well maybe little
Rodney King. LA uprising. Mass incarceration. Crack epidemic. OJ Simpson. WTC bombing. Oklahoma City bombing. Waco. Bosnia. Rwanda. Cartoons and childhood are always a great escape. I was certainly more concerned with the xmen and the adventures of Pete & Pete than all that other stuff.
This isn't my childhood, as I was born in 1998. But promos and shorts like these leave me with cozy feeling that you don't get in this hyperactive modern age.
Ahh one of the last golden years... RIP Disney Channel.
This was recorded months before the transition took place in mid Spring 1997. This was during the late years as a premium channel when it was existed back in 1983. After 14 years, it's time for a change.
@@Musicradio77Network yeah, for the worst.
@@Musicradio77NetworkZoog Disney was exciting for about a week. Then I wanted the old one back. lol
In the USA Disney Channel is still alive
These memories do make me cry. Thanks for bringing back my child hood once more with these commercials.
this commercials from the old disney channel are rare treasures from the good old days for us 80's and 90's kids
Prior to Playing Susie Q, Amy Jo Johnson was on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
I totally missed that program, and would've watched it for Justin Whalin from Perfect Harmony.
the disney channel used to be so diverse in its programing at one time. I grew watching disney in the late 80's and 90's. they great mix of shows movies for all ages. gave up on it after the got rid of vault disney
dude i miss the shit outta vault disney....this new disney they have on tv is weird & the actors suck
couldnt agree more!!!
And 2000s
@@JoyOgbatue it went downhill after 2008
Disney channel of the 90's rocked!
I loved this pre-commercial version of TDC. The programming was so much better. Thank you for sharing.
There was certainly more love involved back in those days. Glad to be of service!
For years, The Disney Channel was an "a la carte" channel which would have had to be subscribed to additionally with a monthly cable subscription, and during that time it was non-commercial.
@@SFSVHS I'm surprised Disney Channel got some cartoon shows crossover from different studios beside Disney. In fact I think Disney should have made a television series of Cartoon All-Stars from 1989 to 1994.
I'd love to see that wouldn't you? Please tell me.
In the early morning of October 2, 1996, Aeroperú Flight 603 crashed into the Pacific Ocean due to static port obstruction caused by a maintenance error leading to a controlled flight into water.
I remember watching Spot the Dog when I was 7. Man, those times.
I miss how Disney was the number 1 family channel. With segments of animation and music. Shows for all ages, using different mediums such as cell animation, stop motion, puppetry, and yes even early uses of CGI. wonderfully thought out live action movies. That tell stories with true heart. The Disney channel today is not even a shell of what it once was, with empty shows that use the same recycled formats, and child actors who are to busy trying to be famous then to actually care about the craft of entertainment. I hear that Disney is planning on creating a streaming service soon. let us who remember the good times pray that it be placed in the hands of talented individuals who will give us well crafted and truly entertaining content, with buckets of heart. Hopefully they take a page from Netflix and there shows like stranger things and troll hunters.
Justin Scrafield 1983 to 2014 Disney Channel was good

My childhood. I miss the Old Disney Channel.
Woah, Pink Ranger not even 1 minute into the video!
The segment I remember is the DTV music and songs but still I agree with the people.
Back when The Disney Channel was still a premium cable channel like HBO.
Yeah, once it became a regular cable channel, the quality started dropping
Oh, they showed Paddington Bear back in the day? That's adorable.
Kind of ironic that at around 36:30 they advertise almost back to back, Rock-a-doodle, and The Land Before Time, both by Don Bluth. He used to work for Disney in the 50s and 70s but then left and became their superior in the 80s and bitterest rival in the 90s when this is from. I'm surprised they were allowed to play his movies. Notice they don't mention him but for The Land Before Time they focus on Steven Spielberg.
Yep. You can thank Fox and the Hound for having Bluth and his campions leave Disney in ‘78.
The mountain ID looks a lot like the Paramount logo!

Pre-9/11 stuff.😎
I can try to spank a plankton
What?
This is the disney channel I remember. I started getting tired of disney when they started with the Zoog Disney crap. That's when it started going downhill in my opinion.
I remember this was a time when they were still transitioning from their old shows into new and original programming. It was a good change for awhile but it's still fun to re-live the commercial breaks with Spot, Paddington and Curious George. It feels great to see these old sections of the Disney Channel and remember the simple times as a kid. Thank you for uploading.
No problem! Nostalgia is what this channel is all about.
i agree with you it feels good to see this treasures of the good old days again
Love watching stuff like this. I totally remember those Little Richard music breaks. lol
me too, was just talking about that the other day and nobody else remembered it. i see you like garth marenghi's darkplace as well, have you seen the mighty boosh? if not you might like it.
Awesome. I do like The Mighty Boosh, Noel Fielding is amazing.
i like noel but Julian Barratt is my favorite he plays all of his parts so well and has alot of range. don't suppose you remember vault disney by any chance? if you do would love to hear your thoughts on it.
Julian is cool, I like him as well. Not sure if I remember Vault Disney or not, hm. What did they show?
Oh, actually! I think I do remember that, didn't they play classic cartoons / shows / films?
Oh how I forgot some of this stuff!!! We need a channel dedicated to things of old like this. eaning going back to good old fashioned family fun tv. before my dad got us satelite me, my mom and dad gathered around and watched the disney sunday night movie.
This was recorded on my dad's 40th birthday.
Pretty interesting.
Those really were the good old days of Disney Channel, except for the fact that Princess and the Frog hadn't been made yet. Louis is my favorite Disney character as of June, which is why I now have him in my avatar (I used to have Mario in it instead).
i miss this disney channel from my childhood!

Oh man, Welcome to Pooh Corner.
The show's intro and puppets are rather eerie but I like the show overall.

Anybody know what episode of AiW that song came from? Lol
It was quite a successful show when it was aired, yet no matter how many times I ask Disney they never seem to want to do a DVD/BR release of the show. Morons they are.
do you have that episode of walt Disney inside out senk penk 25thAnniversary preparation
I don't. Sorry!
its ok do you know some one that whold have it
I'll try my best to be on the lookout for you.
Some other people in the VHS community on UA-cam have "trading lists" linked on their channel which contains a list of their collected recordings, so you might have luck with one of them.
