Nickelodeon - Classic Ident / Bumper Compilation (1984 to Mid-2000s)

- Lately I've been focusing a lot on Cartoon Network (mostly because of the 30th anniversary), so I haven't been paying much attention to its competitor, Nickelodeon, and not creating a balance of content between these two, and to some extent on my part it has been unfair, since this last mentioned celebrated it's 40th anniversary a few years ago (I'm talking about 2019).
So it's time to give justice to the orange splat channel, and what better way to close this year's premieres with the most characteristic of this? And no. I'm not talking about SpongeBob or the Rugrats or not much less The Loud House. If not with the damn classic bumpers/idents themselves? Well, here's a huge compilation of them, several of these in the best possible quality.
And holy god. A lot of video footage was used to create this compilation. The respective credit for the encoding goes for CDCB2, TheHauntedDriveIn, mcydodge919, JackIsCool, ChuckE.Cheese'sArchive, ShelfWares, VGX/TVHolidays, BluetheFortune, Mozza Creations, bumpromofest, 90's Commercials, Empanada de Sandia, loveforlogos and mainly for Tom Pomposello and Fred Seibert's Vimeo Account.
It is worth mentioning that several of these bumpers/idents had their audio remastered, all thanks to the production music packs provided by squidetor aka The Remaster.
And... nothing more to say. That's all, folks! And thanks for watching!

24:11 This one is both cute and such a vibe
I agree❤
I just think it’s cheesy
Ah Yeah!!!!
Spice Girls To Bumper by Gedeon 24:11
The aesthetic is CRAAAAZY
For a channel that got its start in the 80s, they sure did love to doo-wop of the 40s
Technically it was Pinwheel in the 1970s
40s? I would've said 60s...
@@raspb3rryVRTechnically it talked about Nickelodeon not Pinwheel

The word "nickelodeon" is a kind of old timey theater. Look up the definition and it'll make a lot more sense.
25:31 History time:
The nickelodeon was the first type of indoor exhibition space dedicated to showing projected motion pictures in the United States and Canada. Usually set up in converted storefronts, these small, simple theaters charged five cents for admission (a "nickel", hence the name) and flourished from about 1905 to 1915.
Would explain the name drop in Titanic.
@@l.tc.5032 Wait really? What scene?
9:58. There’s just something oddly comforting about the picnic ants one. Maybe it’s because they’re all relaxed and happy and chill, I don’t know. But I can’t stop replaying it.
They must be in such a happy mood from eating all that nice food
Nickelodeon bumper ANT PINIC By FlipaClip 32 9:58
The singing is also super cute and adorable too!
A big part of my childhood was watching the craziness of these bumpers waiting for the shows to come back on, I honestly got chills reliving them, thanks for the trip down memory lane
Nickelodeon will always be the ultimate kids network even us nostalgia fans everywhere. Long lived Nickelodeon!
Facts. I miss classic Nick so much.
I really understand the whole rebrand thingy is really hard and all you wanted is the splat back but now the splat is back again baby
Until Dan Schneider happened.

11:04 Can we not talk about how cute this bumper is?
YES omg
Here because Nickelodeon brought back the splat.
Same here.
I know
The splat is nice, but it still doesn'y hold a vandle to the 90s logo. This logo felt like almost like an actual character. Like it was alive. Changing shapes, with lots of singing and weird fun and sometimes semi gross visuals. I miss that.
@@yupeo I guess. I’m just happy they brought it back, TBH.
@@ZemeckisTEN True. It's a start.
HERE’S TO NICK BRINGING THE SPLAT BACK!!! 🍺🍻
they did kind of
@@jkonyoutube yea. The new splat is not as crazy as it was before and it doesn’t change shapes
Now if they’d make a channel where they had the classic 90s Nick and the 80s and 90s bumpers.

We can never go back to this... It makes me so sad because I never got to experience this era of Nickelodeon being born in 2003
Awwww man! You had to be there!! Born 1986!!
I was born in 2010 :(
I totally missed the old splat thing
I was born in 2001 when the original splat logo still existed :)
I Was Born In 2004.
I was born in 2005.
My ass wasn't even born in the 90's to 2004, the years where some of those existed.
I'm jealous, man... I think...
Me neither but it still feels nostalgic
Man , nickelodeon really put their a game in these bumpers. Splat era will always be my favorite ✨🟠🟠🟠🟠🟠
Mine's too as well!! I have loved the splat era from the Nickelodeon company ever since back in the 2000s!!!
I love my favorites of "Never Done Doing Nickelodeon" Bumpers, so I making Purplopeon Jingles for SunnyThomasFan.

Right? Almost like a spritual precursor to Barnyard.
24:21 Hey, that’s the bumper I mentioned on the old version of this! Nice job putting it in, along with the 3D Nogglevision week music version of the Time Machine bumper.

11:34 This one really stands out!
12:16 is the scariest one
15:58 is the grooviest one
No, 7:20 is the scariest one, mainly because of the many wolves howling at the end, I got scared of the last part back in 2019.

The golden age of Nickelodeon... ❤️🧡💚
(Sigh) How I for one miss it.
6:49 gives me the vibe
Thanks for getting these bumpers stuck in my head
I was born in 1990, definitely got to enjoy the best of peak Nick: Rugrats, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, the very beginning of All That...couldn't have timed it better. I'm glad Paramount+ has all the programs available to stream, but it's not the same without the old bumpers and commercials, obviously, to say nothing of the variety shows (Slime Time Live, etc.).
What a throwback.
24:11 for this one the characters remind me of sailor moon

Nickelodeon is my favorite channel. Thanks for the video!
My childhood. Ugh the nostalgia is hitting me so hard. I’m a 91 baby born in April right before the birth of nicktoons. I miss classic Nick so much especially Rugrats.
Nickelodeon a mainstay of the 80s, 90s kids childhood. It was my go to channel especially during summer break as a kid,
Oh, the sweet sounds of nostalgia ❤
Watching these Nickelodeon bumpers really brings back some good memories, but that one with the green face always scared me as a child

These were timeless because they used a lot of the 80s bumpers all the way to the late 90s
The music variety these bumpers cover is superb: Doo-wop, Barbershop, Jazz, Scatting, Reggae, Gospel, Opera, Funk and the list goes on!
11:15 has ALWAYS been my favorite! Love that 1940’s style gospel rooster goin hard! 😂
I can almost pinpoint the moment I aged out. Great times.

Never that do it Nickelodeon!
I find it really interesting how some of these repurpose audio or animation from previous bumpers
27:02-27:12 These two bumpers are aired only in Latin America, due to mostly showing them being in Spanish.

Nickelodeon never get old I always love classic Nickelodeon shows and movies Nickelodeon will always be everybody favorite❤❤❤😇😇😇👍👍👍😎😎😎
Watching these again as an adult has got me wondering… …why on earth did the 80s bumpers have such a 50s vibe? Did the Boomer writers think back to when THEY were kids, and remembered what THEY liked? So in the 2010s, shouldn’t us Millennials made an effort to bring back bumpers in the 80s style? Instead we were all about bringing back Double Dare.
Yeah but the doowop and the mid century aesthetic was just too cool. The politics of the era sucked but so did the politics of the 80’s tbh.
Ohh childhood memories😊😊

Yeah mean I think 2012 was the Peak for me for Nickelodeon despite the crap Im hearing with Producer who was in charge of most of live shows at the time which kinda sucks too, but Hey I think Disney has done way worse even now for all those who work there wanting make entertainment.....
i wonder if they use chroma key for the bumpers between 27:20 and 27:52. i notice some blue around the objects the kids are holding
