This came from a videotape that I bought on eBay a while back but only got around to converting recently. It is an episode of Dumbo's Circus which I don't believe has been uploaded to the internet until now. It was recorded from The Disney Channel in December 1994, but the episode itself is from sometime in the mid-1980s. Promos from before and after are included for maximum nostalgia.
I can't fully determine a title from the list on the Lost Media Wiki, so this is what I'm referring to it as for the moment. The title I'm using is a reference to the tune Dumbo sings a few times here. I hope fans of this show enjoy this newly-uncovered piece of previously "lost media."
There may be a slight choppiness to the frame rate of the video but I just wanted to get this put up before any more time passed. I used DVDDecrypter and Handbrake to pull the file from the DVD I dubbed the tape to, but for some reason I cannot get it to output to 60 FPS like I would prefer my uploads to be. If anyone more experienced can tell me the right settings and/or program to achieve this with, that would be wonderful. I hope to be able to redigitize my collection in better quality for everyone that stops by to watch. :)
No copyright infringement is intended as this is for archival purposes only. All contents belong to their respective owners. As of the day of uploading, this video is marked "Not for Kids" as it is intended as a preservation of how cable television in the United States once was; it is presented as a time capsule for everyone.
I remember watching this show back in the 1980s when I was young.
Pal, you are a hero to the people who grew up with this show! The fact that you're avle to find some of these episodes and post them on here makes it even more nostalgic!
Thank you. I never want lost media to remain lost if it can be helped.
@@SFSVHS Too true. It doesn't deserve to be lost.
I remember watching this children's show on television.
I remembered Dumbo’s Circus.
I enjoyed that show. Lily is so gorgeous.
I totally agree, she steals the show
And funny😅
I love when Lilly wears her detective outfit. She's pretty and beautiful in it. I love a woman who wears a detective costume. It looks great on a woman
Dumbo's Circus was Jim Cummings' first project with Disney.
Leave trash to the grouches, Lilli.
This tape is from December 1994 based off the commercials & The airing of The Jungle Book Behind the Scenes Making of Documentary. The Jungle Book was their big Christmas movie for 1994.
Yes, I was able to determine December 1994 for the tape prior to your comment (without sounding rude, of course). Some portions of the tape were recorded on December 19, 1994. Here are the contents of the tape I wrote down when I first viewed it:
*December 19, 1994*
KVOB Fox 42
- _Star Trek: The Next Generation_ (episode number TBD)
- KVBO 42 News Update
- _M*A*S*H_
*December ?, 1994*
The Disney Channel
- 1994 Winter Olympics ski jumping documentary / Lillehammer ‘94
- _The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh_ (need to recheck episode title)
- _Care Bears_ (need to recheck episode title)
- _Gummi Bears_ “If I Were You”
- _Welcome to Pooh Corner_ (episode number TBD)
- _Dumbo’s Circus_ “An Elephant Never Forgets”

@@SFSVHS Definitely upload any other commercial break from that tape if possible. You never know what lost media could be hidden in those ads that is being looked for or hasn’t been properly documented yet.
@@EvaFull I certainly will sometime in the future, if all goes well.
Came here after watching Defunctland's video.
Yeah, I think he used a clip or two from the other episode I uploaded, “Sebastian’s Treasure.”
Can you do some more Dumbo's circus episodes please
13:28 oh no
13:34 That smarts
Make sure to check the Bob checkbox when you're using the deinterlacer settings.
Okay, thank you for the tip.
Which Pooh corner episode was right before Dumbos Circus?
I don’t remember, to be honest, and would need to recheck at a later time. Also, I remember you from a tape trade in 2014! I still cherish that one Disney Channel tape and like to watch it once a year.
Really? No kidding as I did not know that before! I bet you still enjoy it from that time. Wow!
Timothy Q. Mouse?
He wasn’t a part of this show. He may have been mentioned in an episode somewhere, but not totally sure on that.
