The two emotional states of Paint the Roses: - The start of the game, pure confidence ready to do some gardening - Later in the game, fear creeping in as the Queen checks your work
Just a bit of strategy...I played with a buddy of mine and we won 2-player starting without the 4 middle tiles. The trick is to move as slowly as possible until you have to start moving faster. Remember, the objective of the game is to fill the entire board. So if the queen is moving 2 spaces and you have only filled 2 spots, there is a good chance you don't win. You need to start off with easy/medium, move to medium/medium once she is moving 2 spaces, and ease into hard later once she is moving 3-4 so you can stay ahead of her. But by then, you hopefully have filled in most of the board and just have to hit a few hards.
At 22 mins in the game, there a reason why the active player's whim was very likely to be spade-club. The greenhouse at that point had two diamonds (one that was purple) and only one spade. So if the whim was purple-diamond then that would have been a better shrub to take from the greenhouse since it would leave more diversity in the greenhouse. Thus the active player must have needed the spade to satisfy the Queen's whim leading to the correct spade-club guess.
Absolutely loved this one! The production of the overview was SPECTACULAR! Wow! And Nick I saw those dabs! 🤣👏🏻 I pre-ordered this one back in January so hoping to get it soon! Can’t wait!
Just played this one three times in a row! LOVE IT!! I did not think it would be as challenging as it was. We were decapitated the first two plays and then won the third by 2pts. I went through so many emotions...a roller coaster. Thank you, Nick, Mike, & Northstar Games. :)
Mike was so risk averse the whole time then blam! last minute you just throw out a pink to pink outta no where… 😜 crazy. Kudos Nick for your bravery in choosing Hard🤣 just shows your faith in Mikey to guess them right. my favorite Alice in Wonderland character has to be the White Rabbit
I backed this on KS and it's one of the few projects I was unsure about because I haven't played many group deduction games. After watching this though, I feel I was a good purchase! Great playthrough
Great game! I actually didn't back this because every playthrough I've seen was just too tight, like ultimately a high-production coin flip. But you love the deduction stuffs, especially "why *didn't* they place it over here?"? I'd love to see you play Shipwreck Arcana!
I didn't realize you guys were in L.A. until you started doing these videos at Game Haus, which, sadly, has now been sold to a chain. Would love to get together to play some games with you guys, and maybe do some cross content once I launch my 2.0 in late summer!
yeah bummed to see Game Haus change ownership but Snakes and Lattes seems like they know what they're doing so here's hoping that it still keeps it's awesome vibes

Two common phrases would be "we got this" and "we gonna die"

We dig it and totally see what you mean there!

It’s a challenge! It always is close and I love that with all the modules you can really ramp up the difficulty

Hey we’re glad we’ve helped instill confidence in your purchase! It’s so fun
I would dig seeing you do a too many bones playthrough I love that game.
We can make that happen!
Well I'll be waiting for it
You definitely aren't 'doing all the work" when you take a hard whim. Your partner is doing all the work figuring it out! Complete opposite. :P
Ooooh I like this reversal of fortune!
You won by a hare! I see what you did there!
Aaaaaaayyyyyye we do indeed! We’ll done!
Hahahaha! I love you guys.
yaasssssss

With practice you can win most of the time without the need for any random guesses. Such a fun game.
Oooh we do have that one that's a good pick for sure!
Quick question: where did y’all get the painted pieces? Or did yall paint the yourself. Thanks in advance and appreciate yall
Nick painted them!
@@TheBrothersMurph that’s amazing. Such a great paint job. Inspired me try to paint mine.
