  • Being on T for over 3 years, and having had top surgery 3 years ago, sometimes I feel post-transition and am very used to being a trans man. But it's also a bit more complicated.

You may be the direct reason I got the courage to transition. Our personalities are very similar and I was told by mom constantly that my personality traits (well spoken, reflective, gentle, etc) wouldn't make a good "man". And after I found your channel, someone who I saw myself in, who transitioned, made me realize that there is no right or wrong way to be a man. Watching you navigate a physical transition has aided me in mine as I found myself struggling with the same issues as yourself. I'm happy you continue to make videos.

Wow, thanks! I'm so glad my videos have been helpful for you. That's so awful that your mom said your traits wouldn't make a good man! Ugh!!! So many things wrong with that!! I have always deeply appreciated men who were reflective, gentle, sensitive, etc. I am so glad you have found more self-acceptance or self-appreciation, it sounds like. By the way, sorry it took me so long to reply!

From back here (1 month on T) you are living the dream! Thank you for being open about the difficult stuff and thank you for sticking around. UA-cam trans guys are my road map through the wilderness. When I feel connected to the guys who came ahead of me, I do want to keep hearing how their lives are going. Thank you for staying in the community.

Thanks! I know what it's like to get so much support and inspiration from guys on YT, so I can relate. Thanks for watching, and congrats on starting T!

you're on the beach... a stranger focuses on your scars... just tell 'em "shark bite".

I relate to a lot of this and also I am happy that you still pop up on my dashboard sometimes just because it´s interesting and comforting seeing my own process reflected like that even if we ofcourse all are unique.

I have heard that once people start to "pass" and I hate the term they know that people see them as male and therefore it allows the person to embrace their true self. Even I have said that when I get top surgery and I have testosterone I will be femme asf I can't wait to just be me.

That's awesome that you're sticking to your true self. I admire that.

Want to hear about awkward ? When I went to physical therapy for back and hip problems I had to tell the physical therapist that I am trans because male and female skeletal structures are different especially hips. The exercises they will have you do will be different if you are biologically female or biologically male. So yeah that was fun but I've just embraced my transness because it's much harder to try and be stealth especially when you have a lot of medical stuff that comes up.

Thanks for the recommendation. Although I like the concept of STP's, I've never gotten into using them - too complicated. But I'll go take a look at it. That's great that it has worked for you!

Ha, I thought your physical transition was flawless, never would've guessed that you're not satisfied with your facial hair. Thanks for sharing, makes us all feel better :-)

Wow, I can definitely relate to some of the things you’ve discussed, even though I’m a trans woman 😅

Have you considered a chest tattoo to cover your scars if you are self conscious about them, I've seen other trans guys do it, just wondering.

    • @TheSLOfox

It has crossed my mind, since I've also seen trans guys get chest tattoos for that reason, but I'm not considering it--I think I'd feel a form of "dysphoria" about having a chest tattoo, like, looking down at it and feeling uncomfortable... it just does not appeal to me. But thanks for the idea anyway. :)

I know Alex Bertie has this cream he puts on his face for beard growth. Can't remember for the life of me what its called, but it's for reducing baldness in cis men usually.

can't see your feet, but your hands look huge on this side... probably because they are closer to the camera than your head!
