    I appreciate you raising awareness on the option of metiodioplasty. I just came out of the hospital after hysterextomy and in a few months will schedule a date for my metoidioplasty. Many trans men think it's all about having a bigger penis, but undergoing phalloplasty is way riskier (and in my opinion less aesthetically pleasing) - but each to their own!
    Everytime I feel uneasy I just look at pictures of the famous statue of "David" by Michelangelo, as back then a small penis was considered to be of high intelligence... so another reason why small sizes aren't bad at all! :)

    • @bateptesicus
      @bateptesicus 2 роки тому +2

      Had the same with David statue mate ;) hope your surgery date is scheduled. Mine it's on a way. I also think - and I saw a lot of videos and photos - that phallo looks less natural, phallus is too pale and always very bulky, so even if penetrative sex is a big advantage of it, you have to bare in your pants huge deal of a tissue.

    First off, you look GREAT! I love the facial hair!
    I'm also leaning towards meta, phallo is too intense. At this point I'm really just deciding between meta and no surgery at all. Really appreciate you making vids like this, it helps me work through all the pros and cons as well.

    Hey, very thorough video and that’s some great looking facial hair!:) Your consultation is with Dr. Chen? Is he still with Brownstien/Crane or is he working somewhere else? Although I’m pretty settled for now...I can see having surgery at some point. Thanks for documenting your journey.

    Do check out what is / what isn't possible with the surgeons you have consultations with. I found out that some of the things I believed from the online research I had done were not always entirely accurate. If I could go through this process again I think I would go to my first consultation with a clear picture of my priorities rather than with a fixed idea of what I thought would be best for me. My mind has changed about my options again and again.....

    If you whent with phallo couldn't you later get it tattooed to hide the scars?

    • @TheSLOfox
      @TheSLOfox  5 років тому +3

      Well, there are lots of scars associated with phallo - you'd have to get lots of tattoos. There can be scar lines in the groin area, and of course the big arm scar. Tattooing scar tissue can be very problematic, because scar tissue is not regular skin. It doesn't have the proper skin layers to hold ink well, and depending on the scar, it may be too thin to be properly tattooed. Plus there can be a "step" where the regular thick flesh of the arm transitions abruptly to the very thin flesh of the scar area where the skin and subcutaneous fat was removed to use for the phallus. So that abrupt change in skin thickness/type could be quite visible even with a tattoo. I think it would be a bad idea to go into phalloplasty thinking you'd get an arm tattoo later; it's very likely that would not work out.

    • @averymartin1327

    Wait there’s another way besides harness for penetrative sex? This really intrigues me as I want to get a harness but at the same time am reluctant due to dealing with harness itself in the bedroom and if it would help my dysphoria or worsen it.

    • @TheSLOfox
      @TheSLOfox  5 років тому +1

      Well, the prosthetic I was talking about would only work for someone who had testicles, because it essentially is strapped onto them. So it would not be an option unless you had lower surgery.

    • @TheSLOfox
      @TheSLOfox  5 років тому +2

      But anyway, I have dysphoria when using a harness, but being able to use a dick totally makes up for that. For me, it is worth it. With one of my harnesses, I wear boxer briefs over it the whole time, because for me I feel less dysphoria seeing the underwear than seeing the harness.

    Some of us trans guys are perfectly fine with what we have because it works great and dont want to risk losing being able to orgasm and definitely dont want to go thru all that pain and possible infections from going under the knife. I'm already 37 years old. Theres no way I'd put myself thru lower surgery.

    • @TheSLOfox
      @TheSLOfox  5 років тому +7

      Well, if you're happy with what you have, then that's awesome. Not all of us are the same. With lower surgery these days there is very low risk of losing the ability to orgasm, and retaining that ability is basically guaranteed with metoidioplasty; otherwise I wouldn't be considering it. Many transmen have misinformation and misunderstanding about lower surgery.

    • @RiverofSouls
      @RiverofSouls 5 років тому

      @@gailgunderson5163 yes I am perfectly happy with the parts I have because my parts work great. I get sexual satisfaction with them. But some trans guys do not feel happy with their parts and they choose to have surgery. I dont want my parts cut up and I cant afford the surgeries anyways cuz they're super expensive. Plus u end up having to get electrolysis on your skin to remove hair and then they cut that skin off to form a penis so then you're stuck answering the question to everyone why u have such huge scars. Some are on thighs some are on arms. I also do not want my parts ("manhole") sewed up. I use those parts and I cant imagine having them sewn shut never to use them again. I cant imagine how painful the recovery process is for bottom surgery. I have to work full time and I know for some of those surgeries you have to be off work for 2 or 3 months at a time. I cant even save up for top surgery ($6,000) so theres no way I'd ever be able to save up for bottom surgery ($20,000). I very much want to get top surgery soon. I've been on T for two years and I'm so sick of binding. Thanks for your question, it's no problem for me to answer truthfully. I want to educate people if they are inquisitive.

    • @RiverofSouls
      @RiverofSouls 5 років тому

      There is a less invasive surgery called metoidplasty and it doesnt require as much surgery time and recovery but they do have to stretch your urethra and take skin from the cheek of your mouth on the inside which sounds super painful so I would never do that one either.
