The second time gouken tried to show him mercy and akuma took the opportunity to catch him with the raging demon. Gouken couldn't bring himself to kill his little brother. Other than that.......... WHAT A HECK OF A INTRO. The best one yet.
Incorrect. The first time they fought, Akuma had barely tapped into the Hado. After killing Gotetsu, he had mastered the art as much as he could at that point and won their second bout. Years later, Gouken was alive thanks to mastering Mu no Ken, the antithesis to the Hado. They fought for a third time over Ryu, but it’s not necessarily implied Akuma was beaten, more so that Akuma’s inexperience with facing Mu No Ken led to a draw of sorts, with Akuma leaving.
Now this is the real shit. I prefer it like this all day. This intro is Insane and wicked cool. I think Gouken has beaten Akuma once or twice and I think he turned his back and Akuma was thought to have killed him. So Ken and Ryu thought until they saw Thier master again. Why games don't do intros like this anymore. Like get the fight hype and do it for lore! We love this shit!!!
