  • Just an informal review of my Zowie EC2-C. My hands are about 19.3 x 10.3 cm. The dream for me with this mouse lineup would be for Zowie to release an EC1.5 (in between the EC2 and EC1 in size) down the line. Thanks,

    Just something I forgot to mention, there is noticeable side play on the left and right clicks which sort of annoyed me once I noticed it. What I mean by that is you can push the left and right mouse clicks side to side and see them move inwards and for me at least it does feel a little shoddy especially since this is something other reviewers have mentioned for prior EC2 versions. All in all probably a small nitpick and a lot of people may not even notice, but that's one of the few things I could find that's not really great on the EC2-C. Overall a pretty stellar and high quality Ergo mouse for me, I just wish there was an EC1.5 size-wise as that’d be just about perfect for my hand size/grip preference.
    Something else I forgot to mention is how much I appreciate the detail of rounding the corners underneath clicks. This feels much more comfortable when your ring finger happens to sit far enough forward on the finger ledge to rest atop that corner than on mice which do not do this such as the DA V3. I cannot stand the “harsh” edge approach under the clicks taken on the DA V3 since if you are someone who happens to have your finger sit that far forward it feels horrible to me having my finger rest on top of such a harsh edge. The rounding approach taken by Zowie and Vaxee is far superior in my mind.
    Also other mice these days do a better job at masking the shell connecting lines than the EC does (Vaxee Outset and the DA V3 for example). You almost get a kind of pseudo unibody feeling from Vaxee mice for example. Not a deal breaker or anything just something to note. Anyhow, have a good one guys.

    Thanks for the clear review man. I’ve always been an fk1 user but always wanted to experience an ec2 and decided to order one. I wish they still had the old yellow and black color scheme like my old FK :( but still love the simplistic look and functionality of current Zowies too.

      Some of the old color schemes were really good, I hear you.
      I agree with you on the simplistic/no frills look and design. Zowie don’t bother with gimmicks and seem to just try to do good shapes with good implementations of the other features and I love that their mice don’t require software like Razer Synapse.
      I’ve been very impressed with their -C version mice that I’ve tried personally. Though I actually haven’t used the FK yet personally.
      Out of curiosity, what grip style do you favor?

      @@BlindBison hybrid palm/claw or a relaxed claw. I got the EC in and I love it. It fits perfect and instantly got used to it. Now if I pick up the gpro it feels weird compared to the EC lol. I been maining a gpro for a while after my fk and I forgot how much I liked zowie mice.. The paracord makes it almost feel wireless too.

    Great video overall, keep it up! Basically, you and I have the same hand size, maybe you can try relaxed-claw on this mouse so that you wouldn't feel 2c is kinda small for your grip style.

      Thanks for the recommendation - I saw another review where they described the different grips they tried with the EC2-C, some folks seem to fingertip then claw in their pinky for example.
      I really love this mouse and the EC1, but I’m holding out for another size variant in between the two someday.

    You could try the pulsar xlite wireless, yesterday saw a guy review saying its in between the ec2 and ec1 in size so maybe that works better for you, nice review anyway :)

      Pulsar Xlite is the exact same size as the Ec2 though if I remember correctly the Xlite is around 1 or 2mm lower in height than the EC2

      I was pretty torn between EC2 and EC1 myself. If they ever come out with an EC1.5 for me that’d be the dream.
      Thanks mate, ditto

      So which one is you use the most? Ec1 or 2?

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  2 роки тому

      @@hengkyiw At the moment the EC2 - the left side of that mouse is just perfect for me. If it was just a bit wider it’d fit me like a glove I think.
      EC1 is great too, but I’d say it feels too big for me. If my hands were like 21x11 then it would probably be my go to.
      DeathAdder and ModelD seems sort of in between the two but I’m not a fan of holes in my mice and Glorious mice don’t feel as premium/well built as Zowie’s imo.
      I haven’t tried the Mamba yet but if Razer releases an updated version of it down the line I may try it out.

    I cannot differentiate between any sensor after the 3310 and i play a very low sens. 400dpi 1.4 csgo. The 3310 or any sensor above 3310 they all feel the same. If any reviewer says he feels the difference between a 3360 and 3389 then he is definitely smoking some weed and i am glad that u are not one of them

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  2 роки тому +1

      Agreed - don’t get me wrong maybe there are improvements and I welcome that but I’ve not really been able to tell the difference personally in recent years.

    what the hell is that scroll wheel sound... i can't imagine daily using this

    • @BlindBison
      @BlindBison  2 роки тому +1

      It’s definitely a controversial wheel - if you prefer a smooth, quiet wheel then it won’t be for you. I’d say it’s not a good wheel for browsing, but I like it a lot for games.
      I find the sound, though loud, is a lot more pleasing to me then the sound the Vaxee Outset wheel or EC3 wheels make as those sound rattly and this one does not.
      For games I personally enjoy how dang tactile the wheel is (you can really feel each defined step it’s almost like pressing a button) but yeah for browsing it’s not great and it is pretty loud.
      For me something like the DA V2 has a great all rounder wheel by comparison as it’s smooth and quiet but you can still feel each defined scroll step (it also just has a nice texture on the outside of the wheel). It does seem odd to me how often mouse companies seem to get the wheel wrong.
